Standing at around 6'5 and weighing 198 lbs, Calpernia is a living example on the unpredictable nature of biology to go against a races predicted or standard traits. While a good portion of her weight belongs to her tails, Calpernia herself is still well toned and physically fit, despite her dainty appearance, and finds herself easily able to wield weapons or wear armor assumed too heavy for her to use. Her hair is jet black and straight, kept long and parted to the right of her head, allowing to hang loose around her, and help to accent her bright yellow eyes, and pale white skin. Like others of her kind, Calpernia enjoys clothing that appears to be of an older and more primitive time, wearing a simple robe of the Eastern Lands of Edem which leave little to the imagination while not on duty. While doing her job, Calpernia dresses in a much more conservative fashion, preferring lighter armor that doesn't restrict her movements and allow her to carry a full array of weapons at her disposal.
Calpernia is a being who could be described as a bundle of conflicting ideas, walking the thin line between one extreme and the other, and would best be described as a creature of chaos. She's large in stature and enjoys showing off her strength and exploiting it for brutal effect on her foes, dominating others in battle and working not just to beat her foes, but completely crush their spirits and snuff out their hopes. However, Calpernia also enjoys accenting her femininity and revels in having others taking charge and getting things she wants done, using her bodies attractiveness to help in persuading others to do what she wants. Despite the promises and temptations, she can get easily flustered when it comes to actual acts that she considers to be lewd, blushing and losing her trains of thought easily. She is well spoken, yet can be amazingly blunt, sarcastic, and venomous with her words when she chooses to, which is usually when she feels it'd be amusing.
A bundle of conflicting ideas, in truth Calpernia simply enjoys the thrill of using others, the thrill of having someone take care of her, and the thrill of completely conquering another in battle. She is a lot like other Edemmians, a thrill seeker and adrenaline junkie, and simply revels in chasing the electrifying feeling no matter the cost. To her, the Dark Side and its fueling of power from passion, is another type of thrill to chase as well, another tightrope to walk and extreme to dive into. It is her passion for excitement, and desire that can never be truly filled, her all consuming hunger for more, which serves as her connection to the force.
Calpernia outfits herself with a simple robe, best described as a kimono, while she is off duty and in a casual dressing mood. While she works on missions however, Calpernia can be seen sporting a set of MK 5 "Inquisition" Combat Armor, all in black and with a modified section for her tails, along with a face mask for her to wear. While she is a practioner of the force, Calpernia likes to carry a selection of weapons with herself, the first of which is a collection of about 12 Vibroknives, which she uses to throw at her opponents with deadly speed and accuracy. Knives however are to her just amusing toys, her true weapons being ones that require a person to get up close and personal with. As such, she carries with her a pair of Vibro-Axes she can wield in both hands, enjoying the weight of them as well as the damage they inflict. Spilling blood and breaking bone more satisfying to her then merely severing a limb. However, Calpernia does possess a lightsaber, a Versatile Lightsaber Pike, one which belonged to her master and possess an unusually broad shape to it. She wields this weapon as a utility tool, cutting through walls and dispatching large groups of foes with it, but preferring her axes to its blade. She still practices with it however, finding the switch between its long and short forms good exercises in hand-eye coordination and swinging it around a good source of cardio.
Calpernia's skillset is one that puts combat at the center stage of her powers, using the force to enhance her martial prowess and demoralize her enemies. On the basic level, she is skilled in the use of hand to hand and unarmed combat, using her clawed feet and hands to great effect when lacking a weapon. Her use of the force includes telekinesis, energy manipulation, mental manipulation, illusions, and trances, utilizing these to enhance her physical durability, stamina, and prowess, via a small piece of each skill. In telekinesis, she utilizes the force to accelerate objects at high speed at her opponents. In energy manipulation, she uses it to brush aside force embed strikes and blasters and to create protective barriers around small parts of her body. Mental manipulation and illusions are used to instill a sense of confusion and dread in her foes by making duplicates of herself, after images, and then trying to worm her way into her opponents emotions to make them run wild.
Trances are Calpernia's specialty, using meditation and an expansion of force sense, in order to enter another mental state entirely when in combat. This battle trance focuses on her rage and adrenaline, tapping into it in order to shrug off injury and pain, keep hawk eyed vigilance on a target, and channeling the force to increase her physical strength, speed, or reaction time. Her lightsaber combat focuses on Form V, and a fusion of Sith Shien and Djem So tactics, switching off between the quick evasiveness and counter-attacks of Shien, to the Raw and straight forward relentless attacks of Djem So. Calpernia lacks the aptitude for electronics, having a bad habit of breaking them, as well as being a terrible shot with a blaster. Her skills with bladed weapons are much better, and she prefers the weight of a weapon in her grasp, to the bright cutting light of a lightsaber. For Calpernia, showing off an opponents blood on her weapon is more satisfying then simply ending them quickly.
Raised on the planet Edem along the eastern shores of the planets large jade lake, Calpernia grew up with what many would consider to be an average childhood. Her mother and father both raised her to one day help run the family business along with her younger brother, and worked to raise her to do so. She was taught how to negotiate, how to broker deals, intimidate potential clients, and extract information out of people. She took to it well, but was always more fascinated with the fantasy novels that were stocked in her families library, finding tales of people risking their lives to attempt to take over the world, only to be thwarted by an idealistic fool in a shiny suit of armor an intense roller-coaster of emotions. She attended a religious school, and was taught the beliefs of her people, finding a fascination with Jasocch the Deceiver, the Lord of Thirst, and what motivated him to do what he did. Like all Edemmians, Calpernia had a draw to danger, and was a natural thrill seeker. However, while others were content with simply doing some socially risky dares, or climbing some tall buildings, Calpernia's definition of exciting greatly differed.
She found herself drawn to stunts that risked her life, playing chicken with traffic, jumping off of buildings and somehow always finding a safe way down doing so, and picking fights with stronger kids to see how long she'd last. There was something wrong with Calpernia, but nothing anyone could define, say for the lack of concern she showed with her own well being, and her obsession with feeling full-filled through adrenaline rushes. However, one day, she took things too far, and attempted to pull off the biggest risk to herself yet. She murdered a classmate in her youth, a bully who liked to pick on others, and was discovered by her mother and father while trying to dispose of the body in their backyard. Rather then punish her, her parents helped her to dispose of the body in a barrel they had in the cellar, one of many, and set her on the path for a new type of training. Her work was no longer to take over the family business, but instead to help further its goals as an enforcer. She found it exhilarating, and often worked to spill blood whenever she went on assignment, looking up new ways to help to mess up her victims while spending time in the gym honing her body physically.
One day, her parents sent her off world on her first big assignment with the sith, where she was ambushed by Zyggerian slavers and taken in as a salve. Her physicality and blood lust made her ideal to being sold to the empire, and Calpernia joined the Sacred Band as a lowly foot-solider and shock trooper. Slowly, she climbed the ranks, unable to contact her family and forced to fighting army after army, serving crazed madman after power hungry megalomaniac. It was exhilarating, and she never felt more alive then when she had to fight to keep alive from both her foes and her superior officers. When it was discovered she was a force sensitive, she was lifted into the sith order as an acolyte, training under a Sith Inquisitor for a time until he went missing years ago. Calpernia took her masters weapon, and when it came to facing her new master, took merely a year of tutelage in order for her to beat him in lightsaber combat, and then claim their head as her prize. The act allowed her to rise the ranks into true Sithdom, and with it, a new sense of freedom. Calpernia still keeps in contact with her family, often sending money or resources she doesn't need from her missions to them. Years apart have put a strain on their relationship however, and Calpernia makes sure to be a distant part of her families business in the black market, and keeps her familial ties a closely guarded secret.
