BIOGRAPHY
Callum was born into an affluent family in the heart of bustling Coruscant. The first half of his life was spent in a spire where he looked down upon the people below, literally and figuratively speaking. He was raised by parents that worshipped the class system and viewed its destruction as the demise of the galaxy as it was known. Callum was afforded the finest education, excelling in math and the sciences much to the delight of his father who, as far as his son knew, was a biochemical engineer.
As Callum aged, he grew curious about the frequent visitors, his father's lengthy business trips and the heavy security that seemed to follow his family's every move. On one most pivotal evening, Callum hid in the hallway outside of his father's study to eavesdrop on a private business conversation occurring within. It was then that the boy discovered the frightening truth of his family's wealth and the answers to so many questions that had lived in his mind for years: his father designed and sold narcotics on the black market.
He tried to stifle his surprise but the security guard just on the other side of the door had already heard his commotion in the hall. The man brought young Callum before his father and the boy's life was changed forever in that moment as what remained of his innocence slipped away. From that point forward Callum was trained in "the family business" as it were and became quite a slick dealer under his father's guidance. Their income nearly doubled with the protege working alongside his master.
During a trip that was sure to net the largest profit they had ever seen as well as secure a high-profile client, Callum's ship encountered some engine trouble and he was grounded on an obscure backwater planet. In his search for a mechanic, the teen was met face to face with his future, a Jedi Knight that would recognize the Force within and around him. He offered to train young Callum, to exchange his old useless life for a calling and a purpose.
Callum thought the Jedi was drunk or at the very least, joking. He thanked him and went on his way but the stranger's words continued to bother him through the night, so the next day he returned to the cantina where they had met and waited to see if he would return. He did this every day for nearly a week until one day the Jedi walked in, pointed at Callum and motioned for him to join him outside.
Perhaps it was the lack of sleep, the bit of spice in his system or the deep seeded knowledge that he had been made for so much more that drove him to make his next move, but he followed the stranger. The conversation that ensued would set Callum's life on a trajectory that he could never change and he left the past behind for a future with the Jedi Order.
Personality
Callum is cocky and a bit of a know-it-all though with age, these traits are slowly improving. He has stoic, thoughtful moments and is generally a quiet young man. His mind is always racing with thoughts and at times this can cause him to appear irritated if such matters of importance are interrupted. In spite of his internal conflicts and the nature of his upbringing, Callum does have a big heart. He is a walking work in progress and wars within himself whether to embrace or reject traditional societal constructs.
Skills
While he carries a lightsaber and will fight hand to hand if absolutely necessary, Callum's true strengths lie within the realm of mentalism. His mind is a fortress and a weapon that he has spent the past several years honing under the tutelage of the Jedi that took a chance on him. This is both his greatest strength and weakness as utilizing his abilities for too long or to their brink sends him spiraling into debilitating migraines that only sleep will ward off. His strength is quickly sapped in this state and he cannot think clearly under such physical anguish. Mental endurance training has improved his condition significantly but Callum has limits and he knows to use his abilities with great care.
