Ahem... Call of Duty 5 has only been OFFICIALLY announced. Release dates are still laregely pending and with no advertisements, news releases, or various other media similar in design then it is safe to say that it may not come out at that time and is still subject to delays.
The only thing I see bad about Call of Duty 5 is that it will be going the COD 2 ---> COD 3 route. By this I mean that Infity Ward will instead not be handeling this title in favor of Activison. I have not heard any of these rumors about them going back into WWII. It is possible though seeing as Activision screwed up COD 3 and I wouldn't be surprised if that is what they were going to try and do. Still, I don't see why they would because the whole idea of COD 4 was that everyone was getting sick of WWII and then again I thought they should have Infinity Ward keep on doing COD since they now have two successes in the franchise under their belts while Activision just had a meager one that was based off much of Infinity's hard work.
Game Informer put it best in one of their issues even if it was meant to be satirical. Call of Duty 5 will basically be Call of Duty 4 with a new name, new story, and will turn out slightly worse and feel "off". Then again I am hoping for the exact opposite in terms of quality.
Why the hell does Johnny have such a large post? Well I was thinking of making my own COD 5 thread but wasn't going to base it off of when it was coming out but around the whole IW to Activision change and what people would like to see in the sequel and what should be improved/ cut out.

May you tell me where you got it from? Just because some sites have it posted up doesn't exactly mean it is percise. Their dates are more of an estimation. Unless of course you got it from the official site of this project of Activision or any related entity. Also as stated all release dates are subject to change.

Like M said. If it was dumb for them to go back to WWII then it would be a whole nother level of moronic to head to WWI which in my opinion would be much less spectacular, though not exactly a bad idea for maybe another franchise.

I've played every CoD game multilayer except CoD3, and I swear to God every chance the other players get they will take their chance to hide behind something pop up for a second and take a random shot and pop down and reload and do it again.
Now the only difference between what's happening now and a WWI game is that every map will be built for this and not only half of them.
