The Gnarls of the Old Republic, Tython.
For days now, the area has been on a high invasion alert. This will be the first time Lutomi will need to stand up for what is right, which will require that she battle her own kind, the Sith. It feels just terrible. Her sister could be one among the invading party. But Lutomi expects worse, for she has been reaching out though the Force, and finding no signature of Xotomi. While it is a good thing, she wont need to fight her sister, Lutomi wonders if maybe Xotomi no longer wants to be found. There is no closure for her, and it cuts deep.
It's been months since she felt her twin scream in agony, enough to move the Force to the point where Lutomi could feel Xotomi's anguish even at such an incredible distance apart. It brought Lutomi to her knees. Ever since she has been wondering if maybe her sister has passed on to the other world. Its a frightening thought. She hasn't yet grown accustomed to the silence which initially occurred, the endless feeling of being utterly alone in the world. But over the time of the past nine months, she has listened to only her own conscience. She has matured. She never felt security when she trained among the Sith. She feels free now living among the Jedi. But the cost of losing her twin, is a burden which she will never forgive of herself.
Lutomi has veered away from her party of fellow Padawans, deep in thought. Just a year ago, she never concerned herself with the welfare of others. The threat of today, she sees as a waste. A peaceful civilization tossed into turmoil. The innocent uprooting from their home planet, and others remaining to defend it. She has come a long way and she knows it, finally come in to herself. She knows there can be nothing that she sees today, that could turn her back to her former way of life with the Sith.
As Lutomi aimlessly walked along over the gentle lapping of the water, until she thought she heard a suspicious noise and she halted. She withdrew her communicator, but found the energy cell had expired. Instead of turning back, Lutomi explored the terrain alone. The thicket that bordered the shoreline was tall and unsurpassable, representing years upon years of neglect and the absence of human interference. The foliage in full bloom, she saw no point in disturbing its life over a mere suspicion. She walked the shoreline seeking out a path that would lead into the woods, one she was told about, but never before travelled. It would lead up to the mountain range just beyond. She would make her investigation fast and return to her peers. But for the moment she cannot resist the sunrise which captivates her attention.
