Race Details
Name: Si'Yute (see-you-tay)
Origin: Unspecified
Average Length: 15-20 Feet. (continue growing throughout lifespan. Some legends talk about heroes growing as long as 40 ft)
Skin Color: Wide range of green, red, tan, blue, yellow/orange, and black.
Distinctive Traits: Serpentine Lower Bodies, Humanoid upper bodies, Fangs, Hairless, Carnivorous (preferring live meals), Tradition of Covering face when in public, pheromone glands at base of tail (each is unique and only detectable by others of the race, identifies individual like a fingerprint),
Average Lifespan: 450-600 years

Strengths:
-Natural musculature make this race very agile and physically able. High Strength, Dexterity and Constitution
-Extra-sensory organs allow this species to "taste" the air, sense electronic impulses in their surroundings (including those from the brain to muscles), And see into the Untraviolet spectrum.
-An accelerated healing process than that of normal species. Most nonfatal wounds will heal in half the time it takes an average human. (this includes: lacerations, broken bones, bruising, puncture wounds and burns(to a certain extent). Scarring exists virtually the same.

Weaknesses:
-Children are not sentient until a certain stage of development. Around 4 years old. Before this, they are vicious and cruel animals.
-Simple technology, preferring projectile weapons to blasters. Just recently became a Space-faring species. (500-1000 years ago)
-Require special ships to accommodate specific body shape. Not adept at space combat due to little racial experience.

Culture:
Most members of this species have a very minor force affiliation. This plays into their traditions and culture as well, with those powerful in the force rising as warlords and those weak in the force as workers. Several different caste's exist, differentiated by skin color as follows:

Caste progression:
Black- Ruling Caste
Tan- Secondary Ruling Caste / Trade and Foreign Relation leaders (for other clans)
Blue- Priest Caste
Red- Warrior Caste
Green- Scientist caste
Yellow/Orange- Worker and Slave Caste

The caste system is not concrete. Any skin tone may fulfill any of the other caste's roles, they simply must prove their worth in a second right of passage, this one much more difficult. If passed, the one trying to fit into another caste is readily accepted, however their offspring are considered their skin-tone caste until they decide to prove themselves. This occurrence is relatively rare, but not unheard of. Even individuals from the working Yellow/Orange caste have proven to be adequate Warriors, Priests, or even Warlords.

Births are usually through eggs, however legend holds tales of rare cases of live births, consisting of the child burrowing out of its egg and mother from inside. This occasion has only happened a very few times in the history of the species, with the child in question always rising as some sort of powerful warlord or leader.

Males and females are seen as equals, both are expected to help raise young and fulfill other requirements of their specific caste. As such, it is traditional for the parents to alternate between doing their duties and caring for their offspring. The time of each alternation is not specified (could be every other day, week, month or year). When children reach the age of 15 they are sexually mature and considered old enough to become part of the society. After a right of passage (unspecified at this time, different for each caste) the child is considered an adult and must assist in his/her caste's duty.

There are currently several clans across this species home system. Spanning four planets, each clan has territory on each planet.

Another tradition is the collection of trophies from defeated enemies. Usually some kind of small bone, most warriors collect these and carry them with them in sacks attached to their waist. A warrior with a full bag is renowned and feared.

Other traditions include:
-Covering of face when in the presence of a superior or foreign clan (this applies to other species).
-Gaining leadership through turning against current leader. However assassination during sleep is deemed cowardly and unacceptable.

Much Jafar I sense in you.

But shmeriously, good profile! I've never seen a snake-character before. I definitely look forward to seeing this dude going to maim people from the waist down.

Where is he going to keep his lightsaber, though? Do they make belts for people with no legs? Do they make pants for people with no legs?

One of the tips from the evil overlord list is "Never turn into a giant snake. It never helps."

Well...I...
to be honest that didn't occur to me

I was planning it so that his only clothing is a robe or cloak.

Heck, he may even get some custom armor later.

I don't know if this guy'll be passed. That said, I remember there being a actual species that are shaped like him.

Possibly because most things that exist can be classified as some race or species. I've never met someone who, upon being asked what they were, answered "Unspecified."

"They have Master Yoda's species listed as Lannik, and his midi-chlorian count at 4 million. That's just ridiculous!"
―Coleman Trebor[src]

The Jedi Master Yoda was the best-known member of a species whose true name is not recorded. Known in some sources simply as Yoda's species, this species of small humanoids produced several well-known members of the Jedi Order during the time of the Galactic Republic.

Beardsly makes a point.

Words, I see your point. However I already tried looking for a race and found no matches.

Exceptions DO exist.

And if asked that, he would probably ignore them.

Yoda doesn't specify his race.

EDIT: Ah, beat me to it. Thanks Beardsly

IMO this guy is too yellow to be a member of Yoda's species.

(that's not unspecified; there's just no word to refer to his species, so they call them yodas or whatever)

EDIT: You guys aren't understanding me. There is no preexisting member of this character's species. He isn't called "Calam's species" or "yellow weird ass snaked thing", he is called "unspecified". He HAS to be something. Yoda is something. They don't have a NAME for his species, so they call them 'Yoda's species'. There are other members of Yoda's species, but there are not other members of Unspecified.

Cause the species is "unspecified".

But, as long as the one I mentioned before isn't on the disallowed list of species, then it should be okay.

He wasn't saying he was one of Yoda's species...
He's saying his species is a mystery like Yoda's...

You could always just ask Rhea or someone powerful admin if it was cool to use it?

Or say "**** it."
