So I drink some of these energy drinks and some coffee to stay awake all night to write a paper, but instead of writing it, I'm going through this insane existential crisis. I'm totally freaking out about everything. HAS THIS HAPPENED TO ANYONE ELSEE

I got into a phase when I lived in Arizona where I was practically living off of coffee, 5 hour energy shots, and 2-3 cans of NOS energy drinks a day. It got to the point where my roommate actually sat me down and said, "Bro, this will kill you."

It's a rough feeling. Wired beyond belief, but tired at the same time, and you don't actually get more accomplished, generally speaking. I wouldn't let this become a habit.

Ive had ****tons of caffeine and never had anything like that before. It sounds like something that could happen though.

I totally understand how this is affecting your brain with all that dopamine and glutamate. :CHappy

It has a nice half life for about 5 hours. Have fun!

With energy drinks, I think it's more about the other ingredients involved than it is caffeine. I can drink two full cups of coffee and then take a nap, so I know the caffeine alone doesn't have that effect on me.

That's because every time you ingest a drug like caffeine, your tolerance goes up. So to get the effects you will have to drink more than your two cups of coffee to get the caffeine you need to feel extra energized.

I drink coffee like water and it doesn't effect me much. The only bad thing I notice is the headaches if I don't drink it.

Yus.

That happened to me during my last semester as an undergrad student. I was taking a boatload of hours and working full time...I practically lived on coffee. My problem was I was too tired to eat so the coffee gave me the worst jitters. A buddy of mine finally had to say something to me...

As bad as it sounds, I have learned that the best way to get the most befit from my coffee is to drink it black on empty stomach. :bitchez

I made a pot of coffee at midnight to stay up and type a paper, and ended up burning my finger tips on the hotplate- I had that hand in ice water the rest of the night.

Irony sucks.
