Description:
The C4LB is the latest design from Joanna and her first dabble in Droid and AI technology. The idea behind it was to come up with a mobile defense system which can be moved whenever it's necessary. Being that it's a droid it's capable of working non-stop, only stopping once a month to recharge. One advantage the C4LB has is that it can work as battlefield support and a command vehicle. On top of the droid there's a hatch where a single person can jump in and utilize as cover whilst issuing commands to nearby squads. However despite that, the C4LB does not have its own radio system to communicate with the soldiers on the ground.
However, while capable of working on its own, the C4LB is not a solitary unit, it utilizes an inbuilt network between its brethren that allows it to receive commands from the 'command' C4 which operates behind the main group of C4s. All of the C4s can communicate to the command C4 which then relays the information further towards the other C4s which might be able to use the information. The reasoning for working like this is so that a sentient commander can operate with the command C4.
The C4LB is far from what anyone would call a Speed Machine, just like the name implies it's more suitable as a bunker rather than actually moving around. However despite that it can actually move around, very slowly. With a 'marching' speed of 5 Km/H and top speed of 7.5 Km/H, it gets nowhere in a hurry, unless it's placed onto transport ships. The droid also has some issues turning around a full turn. While the base of the 'turret' allows it to turn almost freely 30 degrees to either left or right, if it's going to turn further than that it has to move its legs which means that it's turret traverse is severely hampered.
All in all, the C4LB excels at what it was designed for; Perimeter Defense, especially in greater numbers where the lack of mobility is nullified thanks to the support from other C4LBs.
Intent: Intent: To create a set of droids for use in defense of military locations but also having some offensive capabilities. It is also another branch for Wattra Corporation to expand upon its production lines. One purpose it has is to act as a fallback line for frontline troops, being able to provide covering fire and limited protection but also preventing pincer-movements from the enemy. What differentiates it from other droids is that it also can function as a mobile bunker for one person at a time, it's also differentiated from other vehicles in that it's got its own AI and can come to decisions on its own. It's a mix of a vehicle and droid.
