DESCRIPTION
A basic camera droid manufactured by Best Quality Mechanicals, Inc, a droid manufacturing company that has been around since the First Sith Era, although not without problems in this day and age. The C1 series camera droid is repuslorlift droid that essentially acts as a moving, floating camera, taking the place of an actual cameraman. The C1 with it's large central-mounted camera records visual and audio data with good quality. It also can record and see in nightvision as well. With a signal antenna, the camera droid can stream footage in real time in locations where signal is good. The droid can storage up to 12 hours of data, which can be stored on a datacard and then removed/swapped. The C1 can float up to three meters high and it's speed is comparable to average running speed.
This model of camera droid is budget and cheaply made like quite a few products by Best Quality Mechanicals, Inc. The plastoid shell is prone to cracking and breaking against hard impacts, and the circuitry and electronics inside are also fragile . Also the droid's AI is very limited, reduced to simply following commands. It's vocabulator is also basic, only speaking in binary while only doing diagnostics.
Despite the flaws of the droid, the C1 is widely used among journalists out and about in the galaxy.
