Intent: I made this mostly because of Rhem's preference for infiltration and pragmatism over brute force. Allowing him use of a hands free blaster. One that he can conceal easily enough and spring on his enemies in order to surprise them.

Model: C0V4T Wrist Mounted Blaster

Type: Blaster

Size: In terms of size class. It would be in the pistol class. Fitting in nicely over his forearm.

Composition: Standard light durasteel. Along with this. The very top of the blaster is made up of a small amount of Cortosis. And while it is useful for blocking lightsabers in a pinch. It would not last long against multiple swings from a strong opponent.

Range: Optimal range of 15 meters. Max range of 50 meters.

Ammunition Capacity: 20 shots on standard setting. Scatter setting consumes 5 shots per burst.

*Features: Can be fired through three methods. Squeezing the fist (or applying pressure on the trigger with the force while it is armed). Voice activated. Or via biting down on a wireless receiver in Rhem's fake wisdom tooth.
Has a scatter/shotgun function. But doing so causes the blaster to overheat, requiring a short cooldown period of a few seconds. As well as consuming extra charge.
Like most blasters. It has a stun setting

I'm all about the wrist blasters, but ion is not a blaster setting. It's an entirely different kind of weapon.

I'd also say that a lightsaber strike to a thing as relatively delicate as a blaster would most likely run it, as it's canon that lightsabers do have weight and kinetic force. And a blaster has a ton of delicate and intricate internal parts that could easily be whacked out of alignment from a powerful blow.

The idea was it was able to deflect glancing blows. Not outright be used as armour. It would undoubtedly break after one or two direct hits.

But if the tech mod rules otherwise. Then so be it.

The leather guard would actually do rather well against a claymore, especially if it was boiled leather. I'd rather have chainmail or a gambeson though. Or better yet, both. (Seriously, though, try working with leather. It doesn't matter if your knife is perfectly sharpened or a little dull, nor does it really matter how thick the leather is. If it's quality, it absolutely sucks to try and work with. Personal experience right thar.)

Meanwhile, you're looking for "butter versus a hot knife." At least for a direct hit.

For a glancing blow, this thing would offer some protection, which has been corroborated by various legends sources before. And by canon as well - after all, most of Darth Vader's armour was durasteel, including the pauldrons; we get to see, quite well, a glancing blow being deflected by one of those in episode V. Sure, Vader ain't particularly happy about it, but other than a quick moment spent to yell out in anger and a bit of pain, he goes back to fighting like nothing's really wrong.

I just put it in there in case someone was dead set on the fact that their saber could beat it unless it was specifically made from something that could resist it.

I'll wait to see what a mod has to say on the matter. If they rule it out then so be it. If not then yey on my part.

Not this model particularly. It was built by Rhem for his own use. If you'd want the same model. Follow these steps.

1. Find Rhem
2. Get him to like you.
3. ???
4. Profit.
