Hunched over a tall glass of something vaguely alcoholic Kazzatobhk looked for all the world like nothing more than a pilot passing time between refuels; a battered old coat, the pair of blasters strapped to his thighs - just another spacer stopping for a drink in one of many cantina's aboard Port Reshkan on the Perlemian. No one would suspect the Wookiee to be a member of the Alliance waiting for news on an overdue cargo of weapons, which was sort of the point. Eying the dirty glass with a barely contained snort of disgust he knocked the drink back in one long quaff and gestured at the Ardennian behind the bar to send him another.

He'd waited nearly a week for the shipment before sending the encrypted signal that something was amiss. His contact at the Station's flight control had logged the bulk freighter carrying the cargo entering the system, and then nothing. No distress signal, no check-in, no sign of debris; the ship had disappeared without a trace. Which generally meant one thing...

"Pirates."

He snarled the word like a curse. The only thing worse was a slaver, and the two seemed to co-mingle more often than not. Only the knowledge that the shipment was important to the Cause kept him from seeking the filth out on his own. Luckily, he didn't expect to be on his own for very much longer. A three-burst squawk on his comms frequency had let him know that things were about to get interesting on Port Reshkan.

'The cavalry has arrived.'

There were always so many things to do in the GA. Recently Vesper had been preoccupied with helping her fellow Jedi, especially those recently brought into the Order, to find their way and to give them the stepping stones to start their training. Things had been going decently well enough recently that Vesper thought it would be okay for her to look elsewhere to give help, and in doing so she'd found Jaruut and agreed to give him a hand in some of his business.

There had been a problem with an arms shipment meant for the GA, she'd been told. That pretty much meant only one thing - pirates - and Vesper hated krifing pirates. They were some of the lowest scum the galaxy had to offer as far as she was concerned; the only thing being lower than they would have been the absolute filth that called themselves slavers.

Arriving at Port Reshkan had been mostly uneventful. Reaching the cantina where she was meant to meet up with Jaruut, Vesper crossed the threshold and spotted her furry cohort almost instantly. Crossing over to him she took a seat beside, calling the barkeep over to bring her something to drink. What's up chief? She asked, flashing Jaruut a smile as her drink arrived. Vesper took a swig from it, doing her best not to make a face while she did so. It was not as... good as she was used to. Maybe she was just a prude. Any leads yet?

Vesper didn't know a lot of the specifics of what they'd be doing or who they were looking for, but hopefully Jaruut was ready to lead the expedition. Vesper was eager to get to work, otherwise she might end up drunk and useless before they even got to the real fun stuff.
