Sullust was a strange place.

It was hotter than a lot of places but the people were absolutely lovely. Unlike Tatooine, the heat of Sullust didn't seem to turn the locals into anti-social a-holes so Castor was of the opinion that it was probably just a Tatooine thing rather than a 'hot planet' thing. He was going to ask to come here if he was sent off on more heat-based training that was for damn sure.

Stepping off of his shuttle, he waited to make sure that his partner for the mission, a fellow Jedi by the name of Alysanne, was with him before making his way to the main entrance of the manufacturer they were going to be speaking to. This place made Power Cores and Shield Boosters and Castor wanted some of both... but he didn't have the credits right now.

Always a bad start from a negotiation stand point but nothing the two of them couldn't overcome.

"Ready Alysanne?" he asked his ally on this mission before grinning, "Put on a smiling face and let's convince them we're good for the credits..."

He entered and reported their arrival to the receptionist.

Ever since Naboo, she had found herself in more and more situations where she needed a blaster or a blade to get whatever the alliance needed. It felt weird that the Gungans were the ones who had provided any and all diplomatic nuance that she might have learned in recent times. Some of them were weird, but she had found them to be smart and kind, and there were things she had learnt in dealing with their more unconventional behavioral traits.

Which wasn't to say that she would have felt a lot more comfortable hunting down a pirate crew somewhere from behind the comfort of her ship, aggressive negotiation as Aurora called it, came a lot easier to her than what Castor was dragging her along for. So maybe it was a good thing, if she wanted to be a Jedi then she should be able to do things like this. It wasn't all laser swords and lifting rocks, being a peace broker was also an important part of being a Jedi. So she was here, to help Castor as best as she could, and try and learn a few things along the way.

She shrugged in response to Casto'r's question, following him in towards the receptionist. "As ready as I'm going to be."

The receptionist greeted them politely. He asked them if they had an appointment with someone in particular. Whether they claimed to or not, he would not find it on his system and ask them to take a seat in the reception area.

They would find themselves on a false-leather seat that was rigid enough to have an air of professionalism, but not so hard as to be uncomfortable. Coming in from the Sullust heat, they would feel the air conditioning on overdrive in the glass fronted room. Other than the reception desk and the long cream sofas, the room would be dominated by the entrance to the elevator. As the building did not go up, it must go down into the cooler levels.

The receptionist would receive calls on their headset periodically. However, the guests would be left an awkward length of time with no developments.

Yeah he didn't think that Alysanne was going to be all that pleased to be working with him but she seemed to be fine doing so. She was a good person it seemed and perhaps a good Jedi as well - she had either reconsidered what she thought of him or she was willing to work with him regardless, setting aside emotions like a good Jedi did. Either way, his respect for her increased a little bit just by how polite she was towards him.

Compared to baring her blade to him when they last met.

Sat awkwardly on one of the sofas despite having an appointment, Castor looked at Alysanne for a moment.

"Looks like we got ready too early." he muttered to himself before pausing for a moment and glancing at his fellow Jedi, speaking quietly so that the receptionist would be unable to hear them, "Do we try the mind trick?"

It was an option!

He wasn't exactly happy to just be sat out here waiting when they were looking to make a deal with these people after all. It was taking forever too!

In the waiting room the secretary excused himself to answer a call, the jowl flaps on the Sullustan turned several shade of pale pulling the head set off and dropping it on the desk, his head turning toward the corridor rather rapidly, but not fast enough to out pace the man who entered.

9kzYtCq.jpg

SoroSuub Corporation had really scored big when they managed to woo Eulian Eekway away from BlasTech Industries at the end of what had been a five month bidding war. Though the Pantoran was a bit pricey and free handed with his budget, the end returns could not be argued against. The man was a genius when it came to marketing schemes and it didn’t seem to matter much what the product was. So what if he spent a little more up front than the Sullustan board of directors at SoroSuub Corp were used to? Even with the sign on bonus, use of the Corporate Time share on Byblos and the extra 3 weeks of paid vacation, Eulian Eekway was such a big earner he was worth every cred and more. This young hot shot was going places, and SoroSuub was smart enough to feed him well.

The Pantoran, dressed in a garishly colored sarong of orange and turquoise, entered the room as though he were walking down a fashion show runway. His long hair, cared for by only the top artisans in the fashion world, flowed freely around his form and yet managed to hold each and every wave in place whenever he would pause his motions. His chest was bare clear down to the waste, the long drape of the sarong draped across one shoulder and having fallen from the other to be caught at the elbow hung from his arms with a good two foot of extra fabric.

His entourage, of no less than six Sullustan’s in smart looking business suites nervously attended to his every word and whim, some with data pads recording his directives before rushing from the cluster of staffers only to be replaced by another. The man entered the room speaking and hadn’t stopped since as he walked about the interior of the waiting room shaking his mane of hair. ”Oh please shoot me. This is ghastly, simply ghastly”, Eulian exclaimed before moving over to the window and extending his left hand toward the curtain. ”And what is this monstrosity supposed to be?”, he continued before setting his eyes toward the couch where Castor and Nikka waited.

The man lowered his arms as the expression upon his face shifted making him appear to be a bit stunned at what he was seeing. Fake leather? ”That’s it. Out, out , out! Everything has to go and I don’t want to see it moved down to the secretarial pool either. People, people, people, you gotta think. It’s all about appearances. What sort of confidence will the customer have in the SoroSuub Brand if we can’t even put on the appearance of success?”

Lowering his hands, he walked on past the receptionist’s desk presumably to go check out his new corner office. The secretary put his hand over his face and just sort of shook a little when suddenly Eekway stopped to ask him, ”Are these my new interns? Who are these people?” Unfortunately the man burst into tears and ran from the room unable to speak.

You know, she was getting awfully tired of the words 'diplomatic' and 'mission' paired together. Especially when the last time she had been someplace to bid for items and engage in the goodwill of others, her ship and seeing-eyes droid companion were used as assurance to a sulky droid with a cutting sense of humor. But diplomatic attitude?

She had that down pat.

For the longest time, she was oddly silent next to Castor, even her mind not daring to speak up much. She had dressed well for the part; long dark green formal robes, which glowed jewel-like against her dusky skin, edged with black, and a matching veil, with dark hair long and braided all the way down until the end, which hit the lowest curve of her spine. She thought she had been very patient these last few missions; why he dragged her of all people, she never quite understood.

But, a mission was a mission, and a chance to establish a good connection was as good as anything she supposed. This was all before the Pantoran and his troop marched in, bringing about what was once almost too-calm quietness into proper chaos. Did the company recently change leadership? They must have, for suddenly she was assaulted with emotions from the distraught receptionist, the strange male that entered, and his entourage, each with their own harried brand of brisk attitude.

She tilted her head at Cas, raising a brow as if to say, shall you, or shall I? before rising slowly, gracefully, her robes falling about her in elegant lines. If nobody knew the mechanic as she was in her natural state, some would even call her... dignified. The aura she put forward was one of utmost confidence, her shoulders straight and back tall. She had to admit... she was none too impressed with the overbearing supposed new owner, but her position gave nothing away other than a respective deference. "No, sir," her voice lilted, brows still raised slightly. "We're here on behalf of business with your company, as a matter of fact."

Crisp, succinct, calm. Yes, she had learned quite a bit since coming from a bar in Bothawui, she doubted even her own Master could recognize her now.

Orange and turquoise.

He wanted to mock the man for his sense of color choice in his fashion but there were a number of reasons why he resisted the temptation. First being that he was here to attempt to do business with the man. The second being that anyone who paired orange and turquoise together was clearly color blind and mocking someone for that was beneath him - it was beneath anyone with even a tiny bit of respect for their fellow sentients. It was likely that the poor man had no idea how bad he looked... though Castor wasn't actually certain why the man was wearing his shirt in a way that left him almost shirtless even while wearing a shirt.

What a strange man.

Nikka was by his side and she was more than ready to approach this situation in a diplomatic manner - honestly, Castor could tell that Nikka was getting better at these things. The Jedi Padawan had come a long way in diplomatic matters and it showed. He smiled faintly and gestured with his head to let Nikka go ahead, all jokes about using the Mind Trick now far from his mind. There was no point in being so heavy handed when the two of them were more than capable of doing this through wit, charm and intelligence alone.

"Indeed." he agreed with Nikka as he rose and straightened his clothing, playing with the cuffs of his suit slightly, "We are potential customers of yourselves. My partner is Nikka and I am Castor - we are you're two o'clock."

It was almost half past two now due to the receptionist playing games with them.

Eulian shook her head, bringing his right hand up to pinch the bridge of his nose as though to stave off an impending migraine. Good help was very hard to find, hopefully these new interns…

His thoughts were interrupted by the woman, her words causing a distinct shift in his demeanor. His focus shifted to that of the man reaching out then to shake the hand of each in greeting. ”Very well met Nikka and Castor. I am Eulian Eekway, Director of marketing, and it is a very exciting time here at SoroSuub. The new 500ABY line has just been released. All very cutting edge technology sure to appeal to your needs.”, he replied before waving his hand to his entourage. ”You all have your assignments, Bixley. Call the elevator and I shall accompany our esteemed clients to the show room on deck 37. Contact Alessandro and have him start on the designs for renovation immediately.”

As his cadre scattered each to their own tasks, Eulian gestured toward the elevator, and said, ”On the ride down you can tell me what it is you are looking for.” The doors to the elevator slide open while Bixley held the car at the control panel in the wall. Eulian was not one who usually handled sales personally unless they were a big client, but after having seen the waiting room there was no way he was going to set foot into his office suite until Alessandro, his personal decorator he kept on retainer, could make it at least presentable.

She took his hand readily, as if she could somehow sense the movement. A firm, polite smile was etched on her lips, but there was little else that indicated how she truly felt or thought of the male that had barged in and seemed content to order around those that were simply doing their business. She gave the hand a very firm, solid shake once before releasing. If she had a gaze, it would have been piercing, but for now her head tilted in his direction was enough. "Pleasure to meet you, sir."

Inwardly, she seethed at how the Pantoran seemed to dismiss his employees, but her thoughts remained guarded, and her stance did not soften in the slightest.

When she followed after, she gave Castor the slightest nudge with her shoulder. When most would have seen the veil, they would have assumed it was an accident on a blind woman's part, but really it was more a signal of sorts. Like on Contruum, she had no doubt the male would not take kindly to knowing he wasn't going to get immediate gratification of sales from these two. She also had an idea this Director did not typically take such a vested interest in clients; especially those that were not on the higher echelon system of the Imperial society.

"Well, we were seeking fine-quality products for our investment into an enterprise," she said smoothly. "We have heard your company, SoroSuub, is one of the finest as far as these supplies are concerned. Is that true?" Her voice brooked that there would be no fooling her of quality. She needed to know whether or not she was investing their precious credits into something that was either of good standing quality or not. "If you may pardon my questions, sir, but waiting for a meeting with your representative for longer than necessary did not bode well for us. We need to be certain, before any business is addressed or concluded, that we have your assurances on the matter."

She had learned since getting her ship back. Most expected her to lay over and not play the hard diplomat? Just watch her. She knew there would be no cowing this male; but perhaps, if she and Castor played their cards just right, it would work in their favor that he was proud of being in his role.

Castor shook the man's hand easily - there was no reason not to after all - and was glad to be getting started at long last. It seemed to have taken an age to reach this stage even if he knew it had really only been moments. As Nikka had done, Castor nodded to the man as he shook his hand.

"Well met, Mr Eekway."

He knew what she meant by the nudge and Castor was expecting it. This would be a hard negotiation were they going in with nothing but thankfully they were going in with far more than they had gone into Contruum with. On Contruum they had had absolutely nothing to work with.

Here?

Here was different.

They still didn't have the credits to make the purchases entirely but they did had information about something that would make for a tantalizing offer; there were pirates in the sector. Pirates who stole resources, lives and credits from the company they were currently looking to speak to and they were willing, and in a position, to do something about these pirates.

Castor smiled ever so slightly as he stood beside Nikka. She was doing well so far and he would not deprive her opening of it's steam so rather than launching his own argument, he merely complimented Nikka's.

"Indeed, we are in need of the highest quality products that can handle a lot of high stress usage." he told the representative with a mild smile, "My partner is most correct. Some assurances will be needed."

As they made the ride down into the interior of the planet, Eulian smiled at his companions. Wooing customers was really his first love and fortunately SoroSuub had more than its impressive reputation at his disposal for the quality of their products could not be disputed. There would be no need to polish a thing in his sales pitch for the merchandise practically sold itself.

Clearly the woman was the hard liner and he focused his thoughts to convincing her that SoruSuub was the only smart choice when it came to high quality tech. Releasing the man’s hand he said with a pleasant smile upon his face, ”Call me Eulian, please”, he demurred before addressing the woman’s concerns with a quick run down of nothing but the facts.

”Although we have a wide variety of products on the open market each of our employees is chosen from SoroSuub’s very own academy in which the expertise required to produce our high quality merchandise is learned from the ground up. The same care goes into the construction of our largest luxury yacht that goes into to the latest personal data pad or comm link. Our engineering team rigorously tests each product exceeding the safety guidelines placed upon the industry”, he concluded as the lift finally reached the desired level.

Stepping off the lift, he held the door with his hand waiting for the two to join him. ”I have no desire to waste your time further. Perhaps if we could focus upon the actual items you are seeking today I can serve your needs with the utmost efficiency?, he suggested.

Thank the Gods this man was not a prattler. She had met her fair share of those willing to talk, and talk, and talk about how their business was the absolute best in the galaxy, how they had only the finest products and no other would absolutely compare... she was not exactly pleased that she had to withstand this rigmarole. But as they rapidly descended in a lift as smooth as glass, she was gladdened by the fact that he was not one of those. In fact, she began to question if it was a Pantoran male thing, if her assumptions were correct. Then again, he could be any humanoid species, and she would know no better. Color was beyond her, even now.

She had kept remarkably silent, head tilted to listen and process his words. Not going to his office... were they really that unprepared? Perhaps it was a showroom of sorts, not that it particularly mattered to her whether or not it had a nice view. So she stood still, until they came to a light halt.

When he asked of them what they needed, she was somewhat surprised, not that the neutral line to her lips would show it. Instead, she tilted her profile slightly to Castor again, and gave off a slight mental shrug. They were here to negotiate what they needed, not play pretty words of swooning confidence to a company that she was still slightly mistrustful of. She was sure it was very fine quality--she had travelled and heard such tales, after all-- but she wasn't certain it was as exacting anymore, especially if someone was content to give orders around as if his underlings were little more than pawns.

Then again, this was why she was not a businesswoman.

"We desire two things," she commented crisply, when she stepped free of the lift, briefly relieved to no longer be in such a thing. Moving was all well and good, but she could never trust something she didn't perceive fully... especially when her Vision hinted at nothing more than a box suspended on delicate wires.

"Power Cores and shield boosters. We are representatives, of course, so you may understand our hesitation in willfully leaping into a business transaction straight away."

Here, she was unaware of the view that expanded before them, and the relative luxury of the showroom. Her Vision only hinted at things on display, was not aware of the subtle lighting and the quality items that hovered on pedestals. No, for now she was focused on her partner and the Director himself. "We have been tasked with finding the best," she chuckled, with a wryly amused twist to her lips, as if it mattered deeply and her pay depended on it. As if she even got paid...

"But perhaps, my partner may illuminate further," here, she tilted her head back to Castor, straightening her back, and tilting her chin up. After all, what was the fun in doing all the talking, when her adopted pain-in-the-rear engine big brother could do some sweet talking? Internally, she smirked at now putting him on the spotlight. She would never admit it... but she rather enjoyed putting on the act of diplomat. Maybe she could apply it to her training later.

Diplomacy was something that Castor was... not good at.

He was far from the brute of a Sith he had once been when it came to diplomacy but he was equally as far from being one of the silver-tongued diplomats that the Jedi of old were said to be. Thankfully it seemed that Nikka was more than adept as a diplomat than he was and he accepted that it would be something he would need to focus on if he hoped to ever get any better at it. Perhaps something to prove that he was worthy of being a Jedi Knight?

Nikka was catching up quickly.

Soon she might even surpass him.

Sensing that it was his turn to speak, Castor gestured around them with one hand.

"Let me be frank - I am happy enough that your company has the goods we require." he admitted in the end, eye piercing the representative's, "The reason why we are speaking today is because we seek to place a large order... and we will be removing a problem your company has been having for months now."

Reaching into his pocket, Castor would remove a datapad with reports of pirate attacks - attacks that had all targetted the company's shipping, assets and people. They had been operating for months now and the profits of the company were in decline as it's inability to get it's products out to market was having a very negative effect on trade. He gestured to the datapad.

"Your products are stellar. Your current ability to get them to market is not." he crossed his arms over his chest, "We shall place a deposit of twenty percent to secure the items. Then we shall deal with your pirate problem and pay a further forty percent and take our products. Do we have an accord?"

60% of the full value and access to the market again... a good deal by Castor's reckoning.

Eulian was a firm believer in the 2 minute elevator speech. If you couldn’t hook a client in that amount of time then you had lost them. People didn’t have time for a sermon when they were shopping, price comparison, and looking to get the best quality for the creds around. The average person could also spot a charlatan a parsec away, despite the old saw about a fool and his money. Most salesmen had a horrible outlook when it came to people considering them suckers; but then Eekway was not a salesman, he was the director of marketing with a product that was everything it was advertised to be and more.

Letting the elevator door slide shut after the two had exited the car, he strolled at their side slightly leading them about the massive balcony onto which they had stepped. The floor was laid in carpet, office grade and was tacky as could be. That would change, the man mentally noted, pausing briefly to raise his eyes and gaze out through the glass that separated them from a huge open showroom that spanned several stories up into the shaft where crafts were on display and open to tours for those who so chose. It was the showstopper and even though he had passed by here several times since starting his new career, it was as breathtaking as ever. At least they got this right, he thought, and could find no room for improvement there.

When Mistress Nikka began to speak, he turned toward her nodding his head and said, ”Ah components, very good then”. Extending his arm as an invitation for them to continue walking, he then would turn his focus to young Castor as the good woman directed. By the time they had reached their destination, Eulian had been more than intrigued by the man’s business acumen. ”You definitely have my attention. I must say this is the most unique offer I have heard in quite a long while. Please, come inside and take a seat and we can discuss the details further.”

Punching in a code, the door slide open upon the conference room he would extend his hand toward the data pad and said, ”May I?” The inside of the room would have a long table with a dozen chairs around it, one at each end and five along either side. An informal continental breakfast bar ran along one wall, but it was not stocked as no meeting had been scheduled down here. Walking to the head of the table, he stopped at the chair to the right and pulled it out for Nikka, ”Madame”, he began cordially and gestured to the chair across the table for Castor’s use and continued, ”Sir. Please make yourselves comfortable.” This left the head of the table open for himself.

Upon taking his seat, he pressed some buttons on a console upon the table and a holo viewer rose from the center of the table and began to flit through various images until he came to the power cores and shield boosters, all civilian grade. Taking a stylus from the console he at first was going to hand it to Nikki so that she might pursue through the selection and check out the specification herself, but her general demeanor hinted that this might not be appropriate for some cultural aspect. The manner in which she veiled her eyes was a mystery to Eulian and instead he held the device out wavering between them both awaiting their cue on who would tend to the chore.

”If either of you would like to check out the particular models that best suits your needs perhaps the other would enlighten me further. We can get started on the particulars of the contract. Whom do you represent? What quantity you require, these details”, he said looking between the two. He pointed the stylus at the holo image and it zoomed in a bit as the image of a power core rotated before them so they might view it from every angle. ”These for instance are compatible with a large variety of vessels.”

"Eulian."

She was not impressed with the breezy, casual use of name. Even in the Outer Rim, those she knew were Alliance-inclined would rarely dare call her by her first name exclusively; too much at risk. As it was, she found it highly ironic that the vast majority of sales tactics were used visually, a habit that often threw off merchants and businessmen alike when it came to dealing with the Miraluka. Listening to Cas speak, she would not say much, instead keeping her poise and occasionally nodding along to what he claimed for emphasis.

When she sank down, she was surprised at the luxury of the chairs, and rapidly began mental calculations. Unlike the odd seating in the waiting room several floors above, this was perhaps meant more for those with more... accredited standing.

"Thank you," she said graciously, chin tilting slightly with a light nod. Lacing her fingers upon her lap, head tilted the direction of the director himself, she did not allow a smile to lift her lips, but instead allowed herself the benefit of the doubt. She could not See what he presented... a pity. But Cas certainly could.

Instead, she pursed her lips slightly, giving the man a grin. A rare thing, this smile in particular: there was no warmth, no mirth, and above all... a subtle nod to the man who seemed content to ask the suddenly professional questions from left field, and run with them. Why not ask in the first place?

"Ours is a private trading company," she demurred with a grin, "suppliers and other types of the Outer Rim called Galactic Alliance Applications. We seek to help you with your current barrier of persistent pest pirates; even we have heard how nearly half of your supply has been relieved of its' cargo in the last four standard months." She leaned forward slightly, arching a brow. "Perhaps that is one of the reasons you have been brought here, to clean up the messes that those inferior to your intelligence have mismanaged." There was no hint of praise or falsity in her tone; rather, she sounded genuine. But the veil revealed little more than the curve of her mouth, the smile still there, but more engaging.

"As for greater details... we do require the items mentioned previously to be compatible with several types of freighters and the like." Her voice was still calm, perking a brow. "But as I cannot see as you do, I am not too certain as to what you provide, I apologize for the inconvenience. Not only is the man with me my partner, but he is also my eyes." A slight bit of misinformation, but... Eulian didn't need to know that just yet.

Castor took a seat and he was the one who took the details that the businessman handed over. It should be clear why Nikka was the bad choice for reading off a readout but he didn't hold it against the man. There were people across the Galaxy who had likely never even heard of Nikka's race and their evolutionary traits that made them so unique from the rest of the Galaxy. Looking over the readouts, he hummed a little bit as he highlighted the ones that they had come for.

Military grade was the best grade when it came to ship parts and this lovely company just so happened to accommodate in that regard, something that he was grateful for. Castor smiled a little bit.

"I would say she keeps me around for my looks but well..." he shrugged a little bit with an amused smile as he went along with her line of thought, "I operate as her eyes since she misplaced a droid she was fond of. And these..."

He passed the display back with the highlighted products.

"Would be perfect." he revealed with another smile, "We would require no more than half a dozen of each at this stage - we are looking to improve a small section of our trade fleet and see how the difference in performance works out for them. Of course, should these upgrades work out? Well we would be looking to roll this out to other parts of our company."

Castor tilted his head to the side slightly.

"The future orders at the going rate, of course. We are willing, and ready, to assist you with your pirate problems as payment for the first half dozen but any future orders would be at the agreed price." he spread his arms open, "We aren't the type to abuse goodwill."

Upon hearing her name their company he began typing in the details, curiously nothing came up immediately in the database. ”Hmmm”, he murmured tapping the edge of the screen embedded in the table top lightly. The offer of policing the trade route was a fairly sizable bargaining chip, however the lack of information of the private trading company indicated the two were not as above board as they wished to appear.

When Nikka finally got around to informing him of her inability to see and Castor’s role in her life, Eulian did a mental double take. ”Forgive me for I was completely unaware. I apologize for the inconvenience to you, Madame. Fortunately you come prepared with your associate here to cover my deficits in presenting our merchandise through more appropriate means.”, he said without discomfort before continuing, ”There are audio files on each item in our inventory that I would be happy to make available for your use should you prefer.”

The man Castor seemed adept at covering any awkwardness the pair’s unique arrangement entailed with an easy sense of humor before redirecting the conversation back on topic. They were clearly here with a serious purchase in mind, a profitable arrangement between their less than legal organization and SoroSuub. He smiled evenly as the models chosen were military grade. As the man spoke Eulian would continue to enter the details into the application compiling a standard purchase order and accompanying subcontract for services rendered. Once the man ceased speaking the Pantoran would nod his head and say, ”Yes of course. Now let me see if I have this straight what you are proposing and we can make alterations as needed.”

The Marketing Director began to read off the details of the deal, citing the purchase of military grade Power Cores and shield boosters, six units each. 20% deposit, 40% payoff + pirate problem valued at 40% services rendered through subcontract.

He looked up from his data screen to say, ”In return SoroSuub wishes to maintain a mutually beneficial relationship with your organization if both parties are satisfied with the initial arrangement. In that eventuality, additional purchases would be made at standard market prices with option to adjust pending extension of subcontracted security services.” Eulian felt this was a reasonable deal since the retail markup was 50%, it would still leave the company with a 10% margin of profit as well as insure the safe delivery of their goods. As long as it looked legal on record.

He waved his hand and said, ”The terms of a subcontract are pretty standard, all responsibility for pay rolling your employees lies with you while our company pays a flat rate for the service.” He cued up the legalese which would provide his company with the maximum ass coverage which appeared on the display before Castor:

While purchasing services of a subcontractor, SoroSubb takes no responsibility for incidents committed to or by the GAA during the performance of these security details or at any other instance of their activities. All expenditures incurred during said duties are the sole responsibility of GAA and SoroSubb will not be held accountable for death or injury, property damage or any remissions awarded to any claimant, fines, penalties, or be subject to indictment for failure of the GAA to adhere to the letter of the law. SoroSubb enters into a good faith agreement in which it is assumed the GAA is in good standing and compliance with Galactic Regulations.

Finally the man concluded, ”If everything is to your liking, then I’ll just need to make a copy of your permits for your organization to purchase the military grade components and then we can arrange for the transfer of funds, and of course delivery of your purchase.” While the man had not been signed on for his ability to solve this problem with the pirates raiding the trade routes, it would only solidify his place in the company to have resolved the issue while maintaining a profit margin, even so meager as 10% initially.

She was pleased that the man sounded as if he not so much as even raised a brow at their... organization. She was certain he had heard of Jedi, and a rebellious wave striking out from the Outer Rim to the Deep Core, but even with their less-than-legal company stated, it seemed that there was very little protest. 20% of a down payment was much lower than she had even anticipated. In fact, she was expecting that he would be like the droid shipmaster of before, waiting for an in-full payment supply.

She tilted her head in acknowledgement. "If you would be so kind for the audio files outlining all, it would be much appreciated, however unnecessary. My partner is more than capable of informing me of all the specifications and necessities, as well as any technicality affirm that means no legal misgivings between SoroSuub and future partnered endeavors with the GAA."

She steepled her fingers before her, tilting her head when he stated a copy of permits. There was little else to be said at the moment; she mentally nudged her partner lightly, tilting her head ever so slightly.

What do you think, ni'chalto? Does it seem fair? Give me the run-down, if you can. It was not easy to communicate this way; it took some effort on her part, even more so to establish a connection.

Castor had to admit that what had been offered seemed fair enough to him. It seemed to him that what they were going for had been achieved for as little as could be expected without burning any bridges with the company should they actually plan to do any business with them in the future, which they almost certainly would. Hearing Nikka speak directly into his mind, Castor busied himself by looking over the fine print for a moment.

At the same time, he spoke back to Nikka.

It all seems on the level and about as good as we could have hoped for. I'm going to accept it.

He smiled a little bit and made sure to tick at the bottom of the document to say that he had read and understood it. Signing it with a finger, he slide the agreement over to Nikka and guided her hand to it.

"Sign here please." he told his partner as he smiled at the businessman, "It is a solid offer and one I'm sure we can all walk away from happy."

Once everything had been signed, Castor would continue to play the role of Nikka's eyes, assisting her in standing by looping one of his arms around the crook of her elbow. With his free hand, he reached out to shake hands with the businessman that they had been dealing with.

"Thank you for your time."

Eulian rose to his feet, clasping the man's hand and smiled, "It has been a pleasure." Much later once the transaction had been satisfactorily completed, the goods delivered and payment exchanged, he returned to his own office at last and sighed at the decor. There was much work to be done, this much was apparent but he knew it was not insurmountable. He thought over the recent deal he had concluded with the huxters and their dummy corporation and laughed wishing them luck in all their ventures. Hopefully they were not all talk and actually took care of their pirate problem. He had a sneaky suspicion they would make good on their word.
