(( Duel between me and Sreeya. I'm thinkin' non-canon. Melee weapons only.))
Northern Mandalore.
Within the seemingly endless forests of the northern continent of Mandalore, a cold rain nearing the form of sleet slowly fell. It was nearing winter, and many of the forest's larger creatures had either moved on to avoid the cold and snow or gone underground to hibernate. One such creature had been robbed of such luxury however. Delmon Skyblade, master hunter from the wilds of Dxun had sought out the secluded forest to try and get more attuned to his home. He had forgone his armor, choosing to wear only warm weather clothing to increase the challenge. Kneeling over his fresh kill, he wiped the blade of his knife on the freshly skinned pelt before sheathing it.
The deer like creature's blood still steamed in the cool air. As he took a moment to thank the creature for the thrill it had provided in the hunt and for the meat and hide Delmon had taken from its carcass, his head suddenly jerked skyward just before his HUD beeped accompanied a dot of light within his helmet. In all his seclusion, he was not alone. He had learned to trust his gut and it had told him someone approached, though not from where. Quickly turning on the ball of his foot as he slightly stood into a mid crouching position, he simultaneously drew his sword from its sheath in one fluid motion.
Whomever was out there beyond the treeline, he would be ready.
