Soon, Liana also learnt that her adversary wasn't just not to be underestimated, but that he was also willing to not just take certain risks, but to accept a hit to pursue his final goal of winning. Again, mixed feelings streamed through her, but she had to stay focused on the fight.

He wanted this open attack too much, just like winning, and thus let himself be guided by his eagerness again. He took the hit with the arm and attempted to slash her with the lightsaber. Hers was already there to defend, yet given the positioning and the unexpected nature of hit attack, she couldn't fully stop him from grazing her torso.

She hissed as the fabric burnt away and gave way to her skin. It left a searing sensation on her skin, but Lia already knew that even on stun mode, the blades could sting, so it didn't deter her that much as she was focused on her follow-up anyway.

He was basically locked into a position where he couldn't move that much and her own lightsaber came to meet his and guide it away immediately, so that his attack didn't fully hit, but she assumed it was success enough for him that his clever maneuver would have severely wounded an actual opponent.

Instead of doing something with her lightsaber, he simply used the Force to push him off and sent him flying backwards a few feet, straightening up. "Okay woah there. Noted. Your lightsaber skills are pretty based", she admitted with a smirk, however quickly realizing she slipped into her lingo. You're talking to your padawan, not Maura, she internally reminded herself while keeping a straight face and clearing her throat.

"That was some quick thinking and a great display of some really advanced strategies", she praised him as she rolled her shoulders. "I know you're following Makashi, but it was admittedly a unique variation. Try to keep your focus on avoiding damage as well instead of wanting too much", she formulated some additional feedback before she deactivated her lightsaber.

"But this was fun...I know we could continue, but I actually had something else in mind if you don't mind?", she then asked, slightly tilting her head to the side as a smile was planted on her lips again. "How would you feel about leaving the station and starting off on a planet?".

He laid there at the floor for a few seconds. Sure, it hurt a bit. But the sweet taste of a victory, however small, was fresh on his lips. He chuckled ever so silently to himself. As she praised him, he got a somewhat butterfly-like sensation fluttering inside of him. Close quarters was one of his strong suits, and therefore, also one of his most self-conscious points.

He knew of course, that had this been a real fight, she would've taken the engagement far more seriously, likely would've been able to disarm him, and that she could at any point have incorporated the Force into combat. It wasn't about winning, as such. It was about proving himself.

Rather, showing he had what it takes to be a Jedi, to be someone worthy of respect. As he got back on his feet, he offered a courteous bow, and smiled. "Thank you for your praise, Master." As he straightened his back again, he deactivated the lightsaber, and holstered it.

Upon hearing the suggestion to leave this station, he smirked once more. "I don't know about you, but this station can be very boring. I'm in." If he was shy moments ago, he wasn't anymore. If anything, he seemed quite energized, and ready to learn.

He felt triumphant to some extent and she was happy for it. Even if she had to be careful about how to handle this kind of heightened confidence, for now it gave him the optimism he maybe needed to trust into himself first.

It would be the base for th stable mind she intended to forge...now she already sounded like her own master back then and she knew she had to find her own way of how to handle all of this.

He took the compliments well and so a smirk crossed her lips again as she leviatated the square they had used earlier back to its table. "Good...yeah it is quite...blank". She agreed, always having found this station rather empty and cold, compared to the older temples that had once stood on Yavin or Ilthor...but well, they were gone and Brighthome was amongst the very few homes that were still left and so it was still an important place for the Order.

Her padawan seemed eager and ready to go, so she said, "Pack your belongings then. We'll be off the station for a bit". He wasn't ready for a mission, she assumed, or rather she wasn't sure how well she could control him then, so she had a specific idea in mind. "I'll meat you at the hangar bay in 10 minutes, Padawan".

As Liana finished giving her instructions, Saro bowed, saying "Will do, Master." He then quickly jogged back to his temporary lodgings, where he had all of his belongings. It wasn't particularly impressive insofar as a collection was concerned. Simply essentials, a couple of souvenirs and the likes.

As he looked outside into the dark abyss of space, he was captured by a sense of wonder. This wasn't freedom, exactly. Not quite yet at least. But he was at the very least somewhat free to explore the endless universe that stood before him. He had always been captured by a sense of wonder and adventure, and a desire to see the lost and the unknown.

Of course, he wasn't going to see anything lost nor unknown quite yet, but he could feel it already. A sense of adventure, dawning upon him. In his head, he was imagining himself at the head of fleets, traveling into the Unknown Regions, uncovering ancient civilizations, meeting new peoples and uncovering old secrets.

He then chuckled to himself again. He was getting ahead of himself, all of that was still quite some time away. As he finished packing his belongings, he jogged towards the hangar. He had been quick about his duties. Perhaps too quick, as he realized that in his eagerness, it had only taken him 6 minutes to do what was asked of him.

He then sat down and waited for the remainder of the time.

As Saro bowed and leave, she was still smiling from one ear to another. This was all very exciting, yet after reflecting on it, she realized that this first meeting had gone relatively well and she was grateful for it. The doors hissed shut behind him and she exhaled in relief.

Her belongings were already sorted and packed and so she quickly rearranged the room to its earlier state, wanting to leave it behind just as she had found it. She was happy to leave Brighthome, yet knew that leaving right away could possible entail further challenges and so she already began arranging some thoughts.

She hadn't exactly told him where they were headed, but he'd soon find that out anyway. Frankly speaking, he didn't need to know more than his official training under her had begun and Liana for herself knew she'd make the absolute most of it. She had started this meeting with a few ideas and finally decided upon the one that fit him the most, so she was excited to put it in practice.

After she was done in the training room, she gathered her belongings from her own temporary quarters and changed into a new, untorn robe before she was already headed to thehangar er, her bag slung over her shoulder. She doubly checked with the hangar bay workers whether the ship was already fully fueled and equipped with enough food and water supplies before she awaited her padawan again.

As the minutes finally passed by, he would go for the hangar, reaching it just in time at the 10 minute mark. When he arrived, he didn't even pay any heed towards his Master. What had gotten most of his attention was the ship.

It's not that he wasn't used to travelling by ship, that is something he has done at least a few times in the past. But ships often operated as makeshift homes, and thus, at least by some measure of technicality, it was his first home away from home.

He looked on in awe for a little longer, before turning towards Liana. He was forgetting himself a little bit, getting too caught up in the moment. He collected his thoughts, before he walked towards her. "Quite the ship you have there." He noted, as he offered a courteous bow once more.

"How long have you had it for?"

She was still busy chatting when she saw movement in the corner of her eyes, and as she turned her head, she realized that he was right on time. Her lips curled into a warm smile as she made out his bag, still actually excited herself to start this first trip together.

"Thank you...I'll stay in contact!", she told the bay worker before she wanted to greet him with a quick nod and gestured towards the ship, however she then realized that he had stopped in his tracks a bit off, marveling at the ship. He was probably excited too, even more than her, and she couldn't blame him.

As he finally approached her, she nodded towards the ship to signal him to come board with her. "Oh thaaat. Well...just a few weeks actually. That's my third flight. It's not...actually mine. Rather an assigned ship", she explained with a slightly sheepish grin, noting that an owned ship would be even cooler...Leon, for example had one, and it was dope! "Alright padawan. Do you have any idea where we're headed?".
