THE GALLOWS: ORBITING RYLOTH
0200 Hours
[/fancybox2]

Her pray had been caught. After hours and hours of perfecting her experimental technique, The Confessor was ready to now try her work on a Jedi. With the help of her church, the Sith Sacellum were able to apprehend a Knight of the Order and bring her to the Contemptous-class dungeon ship known as The Gallows. The prison ship was made to house and transport criminals of the Empire, but once it was in the hands of The Confessor it was turned into something much more sinister. The blind Sith had taken the ship as her own and turned it into a playground for her experiments. The gallows was an excellent name for its new mission.

The Jedi's name was Kae'Leigh Tameris, though the number on her restraining jacket took that from her. Replaced by the identification "G-109," the Jedi's conversion over to the Sith was already in motion. The Confessor had plans to strip everything out of the blue skinned Twi'lek and turn her into a loyal and willing tool of the Dark side, but mostly to her of course. What good was molding a tool when it didn't work for you?

After being rescued from her ways of Ryloth, the Twi'lek was carried in Force-binding shackles by The Confessor's personal Fox troopers. She'd been knocked out by a fellow Sith and didn't show any signs of waking anytime soon. But that would change before long. The Fox troopers took the woman down to the lower floors of The Gallows which were reserved for ten of The Confessor's personal subjects. The rest of the ship could house over two hundred other criminals or prisoners. But down below, that's where the fun was.

The inmates down on the lower floor were given three rooms that they'd only ever see. The first was where they'd spend the majority of their times. Enclosed on all eight sides the white octagon room was where the transformation really took place. The walls were painted white, so white it almost strained the eyes looking at it. On the floor painted in red was the Sith Empire insignia, to remind the inmate who they were serving. There were seemingly no doors, for one would open up in the wall when the guards needed to interact with the prisoner. Likewise, there were no windows. So the only source of light came from above with yet even more blinding light which was enough to give anyone a headache.

And if the lights weren't bad enough, there was the pitch. Randomly, with no warning, a loud screeching tone would blare through speakers into the room. The alarm was never the same amount of time, nor were the breaks in between them. This helped disorient the new arrival and allow for the mind to unravel. A thing after all, much be broken before it can be fixed. This is how Kae'Leigh woke up to her new home that night after surrendering to the Sith planetside. The screaming echo in the room jolted her awake and caused her to start thrashing around in her jacket which held her arms wrapped in front of her for her own protection.

Unable to cover her ears, the girl did her best to curl into herself while the tone pulsed and blared in her ears. Finally it stopped to give the girl a chance to breathe. She attempted to call upon the Force, but found there was distinct lack in her senses. Kae'Leigh had never had the Force blocked from her, so she'd never known what it was like not having that intimate connection to the world. She felt like something was missing in her very soul. It unnerved her. It was very wrong and the more she tried the more of a headache she ended up giving herself.

The reason for this was because the cells were each made with Force dampening barriers. So long as the doors were closed, the Force would not reach them. This is how the guards protected themselves, as well as the inmates who were locked up at The Confessor's will. Kae'Leigh would try to stand, feeling weak and disoriented. She had trouble looking around; the lights and the walls were just too much to look at. She tried finding a wall, or a door, or something she could use to escape. No help. She tried calling for help, for someone to come and explain what she was doing here. No such luck.

And then the alarm came again. The blue skinned Jedi dropped to her knees and screamed. She curled up into a tight ball once more. Were the alarms louder than before? It felt like it. She screamed in pain and begged whomever was doing this to make it stop. They hadn't even asked her any questions. What was she doing wrong? How could she make it stop if she didn't know what it was that she was supposed to be doing?

Kae'Leigh had never been tortured before. This was apparently worth mentioning for occasionally those in the military or similar venues went through interrogation courses. The Twi'lek had never really been in pain and had never really thought what it would like to be tortured, coming out of a jail cell bloodied and bruised, but having not surrendered some precious information. Kae'Leigh would have liked to think she could endure it. Through sheer force of will. But this...this was something else. Her head felt like it was exploding. There was no relief.

The hours went by. Each tone more random in length and time. Kae'Leigh found no relief. And no more knowledge of her predicament. She had no idea what time it was or how long she'd even been in that room. And it was only the first day. She tried meditating. The Light side of the Force taught her to use patience and to calm one's mind. But here, she couldn't feel the Force and that felt even more disorienting than the pitch burning a hole into her head. Try as she might, when the alarms started ringing they pulled her out of her calming meditation each time.

Two days of this went by. She'd gotten almost no sleep. It was hard to find any comfort when one couldn't get comfy. She had to lie on her arms with her head tucked into a corner to even lie down comfortably. The cell wasn't exactly big enough to lie flat. That was probably the worst part of it. If she could roll around some or spread her legs then it might have been a little more tolerable. But that was all part of The Confessor's grand plan. Make the inmate break as quickly as possible so the conversion would be that much easier.

She'd had no food. She'd had no water. Her body was dehydrated from sweating and screaming. And not to mention her crying. She held out for a long time. But having no knowledge of why this was happening to her, and the distinct void of feelings she was dealing with, it all came flooding out somewhere after the first six hours. It wasn't until the third day the lights would dim and a door would open. Kae'Leigh felt a sudden rush of energy from the Force as she could feel something again.

It was about to give her hope when a four man squad of guards wearing Sacellum armor walked in and placed a syringe into her neck. She groaned for a second and tried to fight it, but they were trained for any sort of struggle when it came to the patients. Two of them would lift the Twi'lek up to her feet and begin dragging her out of the cell while the other two stood by with stun poles. The medicine or drug they'd given her started to take affect almost instantly and she felt all of her muscles relax. The connection to the Force was still very much there, but for some reason she couldn't concentrate on talking to it.

From her original cell, she was taken to the second of three rooms that she was moved around in. This room would scare Kae'Leigh the most. Painted red and lit with dim lighting, it looked far more like a dungeon she'd seen in holovids. In the back of the room were a series of bacta tanks that were clearly meant for healing. How bad did someone have to be injured to end up in one though? On one wall were a series of torture devices that didn't look like they'd been cleaned.......ever. And on the other wall were a series of small doors that Kae'Leigh figured were either meant to resemble a morgue, or a coffin like-cell she really didn't want to see the inside of.

But what scared her the most was the chair in the center of the room which the guards took her to. It was an average looking chair by design, but had over a dozen straps that the guards would then use to keep Kae'Leigh seated in. As they did, she began asking questions -to the best of her ability. "What was going on? Where am I? What are you doing? Why are you doing this to me?" The guards were as silent as the dead. Their masks which looked void of all emotion even gave off that vibe in the way they moved. Silent. Frightening. Monstrous.

Beginning to tear up again the Twi'lek would try her best not to show it. She held her chin up high and let them work. Apparently this was the right thing to do. As soon as she was safely secured the four guards would leave and a different one would enter. This guard, clearly a female, was dressed in about the same design as the station guards, only hers was not of armor; she even had the same terrifying mask. Kae'Leigh thought about asking this woman the same questions, but for now stayed quiet. The nurse -if you will- would then bring out a bowl from somewhere behind the Jedi and feed her. Kae'Leigh accepted the meat soup (she hoped it was meat) and drank as much broth as she could. She was then given water, a small cup, and then the woman left.

Then, the four guards came back and took Kae'Leigh back to her octagon cell. The same place where she got no answers, no sleep, and no comfort. The pitch would come back again and again giving Kae'Leigh no relief and no rest. It would be another five days of this until the guards came back and took her back to the second one. Again: given the silent treatment, a bowl of soup, and a small cup of water. Return to the cell.

Four days went by. Second room. Soup. Water. But then, she was not taken back to her main holding stage. Instead, she was taken to the third and final room which was nothing more than a boring circular room. The Jedi was finally relieved of her armbinding jacket and given cuffs around her wrists and ankles. Kae'Leigh couldn't fight back, how could she? She was starved, sick, and sleep deprived. Not to mention the drug during transport was still kicking around in her veins. They must have given her a higher dose this time.

Being helped to the middle of the room the guards would then hold Kae'Leigh up as a blue pillar of energy surrounded her. The bindings on her appendages would respond to the pillar and hold her in place, suspending her right there in the air. The guards would step back and the machine did the rest now. Kae'Leigh could still very much feel the connection to the Force still, though her senses were muddled from the drug. The guards then left and she was alone for several minutes before the door opened once more. A woman with white skin and no hair would enter with such a walk it was quite obvious she owned the place. Her dress was long and black that even without the two curved sabers on her belt, Kae'Leigh would still have known she was a Sith.

Walking to the center of the room the white skinned Sith would stop in front of the Twi'lek, but oddly enough not look up at her. Kae'Leigh was still a little fuzzy right now, so she didn't notice the faded color to her irises that would normally signify blindness. All she could see was the yellowing around the eyes that made her look even more evil.

"Hello, little one," the Sith would say to her; the first ounce of communication the Jedi had heard in over a week.

"Who are you?" the Jedi would ask back.

"My name is Lady Confessor. I am your new mistress. It is a pleasure to meet you G-109."

Kae'Leigh was confused, "G-what? What did you...call me?"

"G-109. That is your number now. That is your name, is it not?"

"My name is Kae'Leig-"

The Twi'lek was about to finish her name when The Confessor lifted her finger and the cuffs around the girl would shock her horribly. Her body contorted to the best of its ability and Kae'Leigh screamed from the pain coursing through her. It only lasted for a second or two, but it was enough to emphasize her point. Kae'Leigh's body then hung forward slightly until the cuffs and the field of the blue pillar caught her.

"I wouldn't argue with me," The Confessor would explain to the prisoner. "Your life has been full of lies and false truths. I am here to reeducate you. The sooner you take to the process the easier things will be for you."

Struggling to find her strength, Kae'Leigh would start to argue back, "You're not going to get anything out of me."

The Confessor would smirk and raise her hand up to cup the Twi'lek's face in her hand, "No little one. You have nothing that I want, save for your devotion." The Confessor would then let her go and start to walk around the cell. "It's time you learned a lesson. It's time that you understand. Don't ever count one anybody else, in this or any other land. I once hoped for friendship, to find a place among my kind, but those were the childish wishes of someone who was blind."

Coming around full circle she would stand in front of the woman again and reach up with both hands, pressing her thumbs into the Twi'lek's temples. The Confessor bore her way into the Jedi's mind with little struggle, showing her visions of death, destruction, fires and burning buildings. All things shown to her by the Force, the Dark side specifically. But it wasn't out of the blind Sith's mind, not technically. The Confessor was merely channeling the Dark side directly into the Jedi and it would start to warp her mind and thoughts so even her own memories were not safe. The places she once called home were in flames. People she knew were dead. It was a nightmare.

"Open up your eyes. See the world from where I stand. Me among the mighty, you caged at my command. Open up your eyes, give up your sweet fantasy land. It's time to grow up and get wise; come now, little one, open up your eyes."

Kae'Leigh screamed as the memories twisted in her head. The Confessor would release her then as she pulled back, letting the sights she just witnessed play back in her head. She'd then start walking around again, this time clockwise around the circular cell. "We all start out the same, with simple naïve trust. Shielded from the many ways that life's not fair or just. But then there comes a moment, with simple truth that you must face: if you depend on others, you'll never find your place."

Her hand would trail along the girl's naked back sending a cold chill across Kae'Leigh's back. The room would start to get significantly colder and chill bumps would spread across the Jedi's skin. Her breath formed smoke as she breathed, for the air was now colder than what had been in her own lungs. Kae'Leigh gasped and shivered; she felt her body aching against the sudden freezing temperature of the Sith's making.

"And as you take that first step upon a path that's all your own, you see it all so clearly. The best way to survive is all alone."

Coming around front she would bring her hands up once more and press them into Kae'Leigh's temples. The Dark side rushed out of The Confessor and into the Jedi, tearing down any mental barriers she still had left. Having practiced this craft all her life, there was no way the Jedi Knight ever stood a chance to fight against the blind Sith's mental onslaught. Even if she was at full health and not currently drugged. This was the work of The Confessor. This is who she really was, what she excelled at, and what she loved doing.

"Open up your eyes. See the world from where I stand. Me among the mighty; you caged at my command. Open up your eyes and behold the faded light. It's time to grow up and get wise. Come now, little one, open up your eyes."

Every nightmare the Jedi had ever felt, every doubt, every fear, every shred of anger or hatred, all were being multiplied in the essence of the Dark. Even though the room was literally a freezer right then the Jedi would feel like she was burning up. She screamed, trying to fight it. Tears rushed down her cheeks. She'd never felt so helpless, or so vulnerable. And then, the cruelest part, she heard the screams of her people on Ryloth. They were crying out. It was her fault. All her fault. They died because of her. Because she was weak. If only she had power. If only she fought back. If only she killed the Sith before he ever raised his blade!

Pulling away from the Jedi, The Confessor would smirk and chuckle to herself. The next step was here. Kae'Leigh had a dark thought all her own. This proved her methods were working. Now, she just had to keep it up. But for now, there wasn't much else to do. She would then turn to leave and instruct the guards to return her to the first cell. Left alone with the memories twisting in her head, the cries of loved ones and of the innocents, and then the ever present pitch from the speakers, Kae'Leigh would break. It was just a matter of how long.
