[Omnis Waszylla]

Another day, another chance to make the Galaxy a better place. Omnis gave a small smile as he flew his bomber the "Magnum" towards the asteroid that had the slavers' base. The Zyggerians had taken innocents for their despicable slave trade. The Jedi would have wanted to end their threat just for the principle of it all, not just because this was a big way to bring Sullust into the GA's fold. He'd promised Commander Ion, now a close friend of his, that he'd always do his best to make the galaxy a better place. Missions like these were good ways to pay the man back for bringing him in all those years ago.

As he got close to the target, Omnis turned to look at his companions for this operation. "Right, so the idea I had was to land out of view and have us space walk to sneak in. We take out any opposition we find, secure the civilians, then find a ship for you guys to fly out on while I cover you in mine. Sound good? I'm open for other ideas, if you got 'em." He gave them a reassuring smile, fully confident they would be successful. They had to be, people's lives and freedom were on the line.

[Zex Vric]

Slavers, the worst scum of the galaxy, Zex knew very well how they were, having lived on Nar Shaddaa for a long time, it wasn't difficult to find a slave mistreated every week, and the Nautolan himself, while not a slave in the strongest sense of the work, was a kid that was forced to steal for a very corrupt orphanage once, he could relate to them. That's why he volunteered to take part of the mission, he would make sure those slavers paid dearly, one way or another.

Wearing his usual armored suit and carrying his blaster and wrench with him, Zex listened to Omnis' plan, a simple one, but that didn't mean it was a bad one "No, I am fine with your plan" The Nautolan said, preparing his blaster for what was about to go down "So, I am ready whenever you guys are, lets give these guys a reason to stop toying with other people's lifes!" Zex raised his fist, the smile that was characteristic of Nautolans forming on his face, he was confident, he had dealt with far worse stuff, by the end of the day, this cold, dark galaxy would be a little bit more happy.

[Kyi Wavestrider]

When the Jedi Order set Kyi on this assignment, he was quick to accept. The Knight wasn't well versed in politics but he knew that the abolishing of slavery hadn't reached every planet in the Outer Rim, or if they even cared, but the very concept of slavery disgusted Kyi and he knew it was his duty as a Jedi and a person to put a stop to this, so he was more than ready to liberate the captured Sullustans and detain the Zygerrian slavers.

Kyi was equipped with his Jedi armour and his lightsaber, the Jedi Knight sat in the cockpit with his allies Omnis and Zex as they prepared to dock on the asteroid mininig facility. Kyi listened intently as the Padawan and recent addition to the Jedi Order relayed his plan to the group, the plan seemed efficient enough and Kyi had no objections, so in-turn he nodded in agreement with Omnis "No objections here." he responded, he trusted in the Force, in its guidance, and the mission and plan itself was simple enough but in his experience, he knew that these things don't always go as to plan.

Before Omnis landed the ship, Kyi put on his enviro-suit in preparation for their upcoming spacewalk across the asteroid's surface, he waited for the ship to land wearing it and with the breather helmet held against his waist.

[Omnis Waszylla]

Omnis was glad that their plan was set, even if it was still a risky one despite being simple. He had his own EVA suit, just enough to keep him alive if in space, and when they had landed and were sure they hadn't been detected he opened the canopy to start the infiltration. The Jedi wasn't sure how many foes awaited them, as the facility had enough space to hold a sizeable force, but they didn't have the time to do a full recon and prepare for an in-depth operation. The terrain from the ship to the side of the base, built into a small rise on the asteroid, was thankfully easy to navigate with no problems or surprises. Omnis DID think he saw a Star Weird dressed like a clown dancing in the distance, yet with a blink the sight was gone, probably just a hallucination. The old stories of Nicklesage passed down in his family must have stuck with him more than he thought.

When he reached the maintenance door to the facility, Omnis couldn't believe his luck. Worried that there were sensors for detecting invaders from outside, he was pleased to see that there was nothing of the sort. In fact, the computer to open the airlock didn't even have a code or pass needed. The slavers must not have considered a remote place like this worthy of advanced protection, or just didn't consider anyone crazy enough to try coming in from the outside. With a quick message on his commlink to the others he told them of the development, waiting for them to join him to start the actual infiltration. This could have been one of the most dangerous parts, now it was just a brief jaunt in the vacuum of space. Good, that left more energy to expend on the mission itself.

[Zex Vric]

The Nautolan, with the EVA suit on, waited for Omnis to tell them what the status was, expecting something to happen before they managed to land safely without problem, hearing nothing outside but some kind of honking, which was strange because there was no sound in the vacuum of space, but it was probably his imagination. So, Zex joined him when he told them of the development and waited for Kyi to join them, blaster in hand just in case, even if they wanted to be sneaky, it never hurt to have it just in case.

Kyi was relieved to hear Omnis give them the okay and that the Padawan had made it with no complications. Kyi and Zex exited the ship in their EVA suits and made the spacewalk, it was strange to say the least, Kyi had always seen space from inside the window of a freighter or a starfighter but this was completely different - the Knight was literally in space, he was physically there. While treading through the asteroid, Kyi observed Sullustan planet in the distance and the light of the sun shining even further away, the stars were so beautiful to see from where he was. Inside his breather helmet, he let out a calming sigh and closed his eyes and began feeling the Force around him...it was much more different than feeling it on a planet, in space it felt like he could feel more of the Force flowing around him, it was invigorating.

Opening his eyes and returning to the moment, to the current mission at hand, he noticed that Zex was already a few feet ahead of him, he continued his spacewalk to catch up to him. Finally meeting up with Omnis and Zex, he found it strange that it was so easy to land so close to the base and get this far without any kind of resistance - but he didn't sense anything wrong in the Force so things must have been fine, turning to the Padawan, letting him lead the mission, seeing it as an opportunity to maybe guide him a little bit, he asked "How do you want to go about this?" in a stitc tone that the comm transmission signal conveyed through his breather helmet.

[Omnis Waszylla]

"Places like these HAVE to have a security room or office of some kind. I say we find it, so we know what we're dealing with and so we can control any alarms or locks we might come across." With a smile and thumbs up to his companions the Padawan keyed open the airlock. Even the process of entering the artificial atmosphere didn't trigger any alarm or investigation, as neither did their trek through the base to find the security room. Were they sleeping? Drunk? Enjoying each other's company? All three?

They found the room empty and without trouble, luck being on their side for the moment. Omnis looked down the hallways outside the room as he gestured for his companions to join him. "Kyi, find out where the captives are and, if you can, where the slavers are hiding in this place. Zex, scope out the hangar and see if there's a ship we can steal to get everyone out of here. I'll keep an eye out for any surprise visitors on the unwelcome kind." He knew he was still fairly inexperienced and of low rank, so if either objected he would back down. This was just what he thought was a good use of their manpower, divide and conquer. The longer they were in this territory with enemies around, the higher the chance for injury or failure. So far everything had gone well, but Omnis didn't trust that such luck would hold.

[Zex Vric]

"Sounds like a good plan to me, I'll go get us a ship" Zex said, not wasting any time and carefully moving towards the hangar, Omnis had the right idea, if they divided the tasks they had ahead, they spent less time there and therefore they could perhaps free the slaves without getting into a fight. Well, that was wishful thinking, the chances of that happening were real low, but then again, the pirates seemed so incompetent they didn't even guard the entrance, so, who knew?

The Nautolan walked through the hallways and towards the hangar stealthily, entering the place carefully and making sure he wasn't seen. At first, Zex wouldn't find anyone in the hangar, just a rusty old gunship and nothing else, the pirates didn't seem to have much, the ex-gangster wondered how the hell did they manage to be such a problem with so little, either they were really good, or very lucky. Either way, Zex hid from sight the moment the gunship's door opened, two pirates getting out of it, one of them zipping his pants "I could've sworn I heard something just now" The first one said, looking around but not spotting the Nautolan hidden behind some boxes "No way, there is no one in this bloody space station that isn't at the big party, quit your paranoia and let's go" The other one said before they started moving, hopefully they wouldn't spot him

[Kyi Wavestrider]

Kyi nodded in agreement with the Padawan, it was a solid plan. He was impressed with Omnis' ability to take charge and his natural charisma, Kyi was the polar opposite when he was a Padawan - Kyi had a deep feeling that Omnis would make a great Jedi Knight one day. Zex had left before him and made his way to hangar but Kyi stayed in the security room for a brief moment, he needed to use the main console to access a map and find the location of the captives. Approaching the console, the Jedi Knight attempted to boot up the console but it required a pass code - this wasn't a problem however, Kyi had been practising his pychometry since being taught it by Sakadi.

Kyi placed his palm on the security panel of the main console, opening his mind up to the Living Force and allowing it to flow through him. Feeling the echoes through the Force that the Zygerrians had left on this security panel. The echo flowed through his mind which allowed the Jedi Knight to see the past actions of the Zygerrians typing out the security code. With the vision ended, the Jedi typed out what he saw in the vision - it worked! A hologram appeared in front of him and showed him the location of the captives which were located in a containment facility north of the station.

The Jedi left the security room and made his way to the containment and managed to successfully sneak his way through the multiple corridors inside the facility which was strange to him, seeing as no Zygerrian guards were on duty - it must have been for a reason but either way, he was glad as it made his job more easier. Finally making his way to the containment facility, the Knight stopped at the end of the corridor and placed his back firmly against the wall before peaking his head out of the corner. Kyi spotted two Zygerrians on duty and equipped with electro-whips. The Knight sighed and unclipped his lightsaber, he'd have his work cut out for him and he was sure a Jedi would fetch a good price on the market - especially after the Mandalorians recent declaration of war against the Jedi Order...

[Omnis Waszylla]

Omnis was watching what both of his teammates were doing from the security monitors on the room they had taken quite easily. He saw both groups of two guards, one almost spotting Zex, and on a different monitor saw the others having a party in the living quarters. That would explain why there wasn't as much security as they would have expected. The Padawan's eyes scanned over the consoles and screens, trying to come up with an idea of how to help his friends. A look at the schematics of the stations and controls available to him gave him an idea. It was risky, yet he figured he could pull it off. He'd need to be quick, though.

First, he triggered an alarm, one for intruders and for a storage room that held the weapons and stolen goods from the captives the Zyggerians had taken. This was something that hit their bottom line, so even those at the party picked up their weapons to respond. All eight of the slavers made their way there, wandering the room looking for the intruders that weren't there. Then the doors slammed shut, sealing them in and leaving his companions safe from their potential discovery and attack. He smiled before noticing one of their number trying to hack the door panel. Damn clever, and annoying. Omnis' hands flew over the keyboard, trying to keep ahead of the hacking attempt, yet he wasn't as skilled as the Zyggerrian he was going against. In the last moments before the slaver would be able to free himself and his companions, Omnis punched the console partly in frustration and partly in acting on a last-ditch idea. It worked, preventing the Zyggerrian from finishing his hacking and sealing them inside, yet it also shorted out all the other controls from that room. Oh well, he'd take this loss if it meant his companions could work in peace.

[Zex Vric]

As the alarms triggered and the pirates left the room, Zex left out a sigh of relief, he didn't know what was exactly happening, but he could only guess that it was done by one of the jedi, anyways, it was good for him, an opportunity to sneak inside the ship. Zex didn't find much inside of it, it was the typical transport gunship except it was very rusty and not in the best shape.

And if it looked like it was in bad shape, it was for a reason, Zex tried to jump-start the ship without the codes, using his wrench and hidden blades to get to the wires and cross them, but the bad state of the ship made it impossible, getting the Nautolan almost electrified in the process "Shit..." Zex muttered to himself, trying to find the codes somewhere around there without any luck "Guys, I've found a ship, but the codes aren't here and getting this pile of scrap working is difficult without them, do you see them somewhere around? Otherwise one of the pirates may have it and we'll be forced to fight" He said through the comms, the idea of shooting scummy pirates wasn't all too bad for him, but fighting a whole base was perhaps a bit too risky for his liking.

[Kyi Wavestrider]

Kyi readied his lightsaber in preparation to face the Zygerrian slavers when relief fell over him as he heard the alarms which caused the slavers to abandon their posts in search of the intruder that triggered it, Kyi figured he'd have a hard time fighting two enemies with electro-whips. When the coast was clear, he exited the corridor and made his way into the detention centre and saw four cells with the prisoner's being held inside them. Kyi saw the captive's faces transition from sorrow to relief when they spotted him, he motioned a finger to his mouth before searching the room for some kind of security panel to unlock the detention cells.

Kyi grinned as he spotted a security panel on the west side of the room. As he approached it, he reached his arm out and placed his palm on the security panel and closed his eyes, after a few short moments he received an echo of the Force that showed him the past slavers typing in the code into the security panel. Opening his eyes, he typed out the code he had seen in the vision and with that the cells were unlocked - before the captives could celebrate however, Kyi motioned for them to stay quiet before whispering "There isn't much time. My ally has a ship, he'll contact me when it's up and running."

As if right on queue, Kyi received an incoming transmission from Zex explaining that the ship wouldn't start up without the codes and if anyone can find them. One of the captives had overheard Zex' transmission, "Are you talking about the transport gunship in the hangar?" she asked in a sweet tone of voice, turning his attention to her Kyi answered the woman's question "Uh...yeah, I think so?" he said both confirming and asking, as he wasn't sure what ship Zex had found but his eyes lit up with relief when he heard what the captive woman had to say next. "I was on my way to fly that ship to the scrapyard when I was caught by the slavers and they took the ship with them. I-I know the flight codes!" she said, hope restored in her voice, Kyi smiled at her and spoke into his comm to both Omnis and Zex, "Good news! One of the captives has the flight codes to the ship. The captives and I will meet you at the hangar shortly." and with that, Kyi motioned for the captives to follow him toward the hangar.

[Omnis Waszylla]

Everything seemed to unfold just as if they had planned it all. Perhaps luck or the Force was on their side, though whatever it was it meant they had beaten the odds and performed the rescue with no combat at all. That was the best outcome, making Omnis smile as he made his way to the hangar. "Good job, guys. Let's get this shuttle running so we can get out of here. I'm going to head back to my fighter and radio in the local authorities. I think they'll be very happy to take the captured slavers off our hands." After making sure any preparations the two would need were done he ran off to the airlock, a smile on his face and giving them a thumbs up. Putting his suit together for the space walk, he chuckled as he watched again the completely unprotected outside airlock let him back out onto the asteroid's surface.

From what he could gather, the Zyggerrians hadn't been expecting any resistance after their latest raid because of how weak the normal local law was. Their haul was enough to normally pay out several month's wages as a bonus so they'd started to celebrate in the apparent peace of their base. Then Omnis and his friends had come and completely taken them by surprise. He wondered if the cake that had been left in the sleeping quarters was any good, and if any of his friends would take it as an extra bonus for their success. Regardless, as the Jedi jumped into his fighter and keyed to the frequency for the local law enforcement, he knew their days of parties and slavery were over. Justice had truly been served, and it was sweet indeed.

Omnis told Kyi and Zex that he was going to be returning to his own ship and contact the local authorities to detain the Zygerrian slavers, good, he was glad to know that these scumbags would get what was coming to them. The Jedi Knight and the captives rushed through tight hallways of the abandoned mining facility - with the freckle-faced Knight occasionally turning back to make sure he still had everyone following him and that no one had fallen behind.

After about five or ten minutes, Kyi and the freed captives had finally arrived at the hangar where the transport gunship lay dormant, with Zex waiting inside. The Jedi waved to the Nautolan in the cockpit as he and the other captives entered the gunship single-file. Entering first, Kyi waited next to the gunship's loading ramp, directing all of the captives on board while also looking for the woman who had mentioned she knew the flight codes earlier. As the last wave of captives entered through the loading ramp, he spotted the girl and motioned for her to come over.

"Hey, you sure you know the ship's flight codes?" he asked with a bit of concern, his concerns were immediately eased when she let out a confident smile and responded with "Yeah! I made sure I wouldn't forget, just in case we ever got the chance to escape." the Jedi returned a smile before letting out a sigh of relief and with that the two made their way to the cockpit where Zex was located. Standing at the door way, a few inches in front of the girl, he introduced her to the Nautolan "Zex, this is our saviour right here." he jested before signalling to her with his eyes and a head tilt for her to enter the ship's flight codes so they could all get out of here.

[Zex Vric]

Zex waited patiently for the group led by Kyi to come, trusting that they would get there safely, he was a bit concerned, thinking that maybe something could attack them, but, then again, if something bad were to happen to them, Kyi would have probably told him. Didn't seem like he had to worry that much, though, seeing how after ten minutes or so, the jedi was there, leading the captives, Zex waved back at him with a big smile on his face as he watched the captives enter the ship.

After that, Kyi introduced him to the girl that knew the flight codes "Miss, without you, we wouldn't be able to take you and your comrades out of here so easily, great job, you are a hero! Now, lets get you out of here" Zex said, he really meant it, and those words made the girl smile as well. Once she entered the codes, the Nautolan would start the ship and get them out of the pirate hideout, this mission went very smoothly for a change and the Nautolan couldn't be happier about that.
