Geonosis.

It was a planet that had seen much bloodshed in its history. From the beginning of the Clone Wars to constructing the Death Star to the extinction of the native Geonosian species, it was a violent planet marked by death, destruction and tragedy. This made it an interesting choice then for two Jedi to make an appearance but there they were. Drow Venn and Byron Ryker strode through the windy desert expanse that their destination lay beyond.

The two of them had recently been part of an ill-fated mission to Kessel where their attempts to free the local slave population had ended briefly, violently, and with the pair of them captured and their weapons stripped away from them. While Drow was personally of the opinion that Jedi's best weapon was their compassion, he also wasn't an idiot and recognized the value of a less metaphorical weapon.

That's why they were here. After their lightsabers had been stolen from them, Drow had perused some old records in various libraries, looking for untapped caches of kyber crystals that the two of them could use to build their next sabers. While they could have used some of the crystals stored at the temple, Drow felt that bringing another cache of crystals back with them could help redeem them for their failure at Kessel.

The two Jedi carried with them all the essential components needed to make the hilt and emitters - all that was left was these crystals. Fortunately, his research had uncovered an old abandoned Geonosis laboratory. Used during the Clone Wars for experimenting on kyber crystals to help prepare the Geonosians for work on the Death Star, this laboratory was long abandoned after the Separatists had been defeated and the Empire had wiped out the Geonosians. But according to Drow's record, there should have still been some kyber crystals here. As they approached the door, Drow looked to Byron. The Ishi Tib carried with him a simple staff that he'd made out of a tree from Yavin to protect himself in case this lab was less than abandoned.

"How much you want to bet, there's a pack of nexus nesting in there?" he asked Byron wryly. "You ready to go in?"
