Before I forget to tag you @Notorious

Hey mate, I figured I'd toss this up here for transparency and in the event we decide it needs a report (though I doubt it will go that far). I want to apologize in advance if I misread your posts or come across as overly aggressive, I've been fighting the flu since Sunday and have been as doped up on cold/flu medicine as one can get without getting put on a list.

To begin, I'm going to argue that your attack (using your own repulsorlift glove thingy) in such a fashion is both a breach of the auto-hit rules and of the rules regarding interrupted time and such outlined here. I'm also going to argue that I did not state I was in the corner, nor that I was running. Regarding the auto-hit thing: You have already written the post as if Damien has been flung helplessly into the stun-field and I, having reread my post, can see that my own post can be construed the same in parts, though I would have gladly clarified that I meant that as my attack's intent as opposed to being anything akin to an auto-hit.

In addition, just as you stated that "Damien was committed to running up to the edge," I'm going to argue that you're committed to the actions listed in the last paragraph of your previous post and cannot simply adjust all of these actions quickly while you're in midair. Damien moves forward and to the left and uses his glove just before Crom lands. Damien has the entirety of the time that Crom is in the air: "he did have an idea as soon as the man leapt into the air" while Crom is already mid-air when he reacts to Damien and only has half of the time to act/react: "Crom was mid-way through his jump."

Plus, I think walking and watching your opponent is easily done but I'll admit that I did not type as such in my post so that'd be my bad. Stealthily prepping your gauntlet is getting one hand ready to press the button and opening your palm, not quite stealthy when you're midair IMO. Also, I have a slight issue with: "Crom's reflexes and advantage of being in mid-jump were the deciding factors." I would argue that your reflexes are no better/worse than Damien's and that being mid-jump is actually a major disadvantage because you cannot adjust course, etc.

I'm having trouble focusing 100% on this right now so if anything else comes to mind, I'll either edit it in here or post again but I wanted to get some discussion going before we time out in less than probably a day lol

Hey buddy, sorry for the late response! For those who happen to peak at this topic your post right there is a prime example how OOC should be done. I wanna say that you didn't seem aggressive at all but very mature and chill with your argument and have been super respectful just how it should be. I'll be doing the same, Rick! Get ready to read a long ass post.

Also doing this entire fight and this OOC as someone fighting the flu? I said it on Discord already but you're a tank brother!

Haha, here's my counter-argument to all of that. If we do have to bring the staff in to come to a decision since the time limit is technically up now we'll just do that and see what they think. Otherwise we can PROBABLY come to an agreement on our own but if we for whatever reason can't let's not sweat getting them involved if we gotta, they're there for a reason and you reporting my post and having them review everything is something I encourage if we simply don't agree. It happens and it's an option and getting the staff involved would in no way make this a bad thing.

As for the auto-hitting we both did phrase things in a way that could be construed in a way that those hits already happened. I don't think we should focus TOO much on that sort of wording as I see people all the time phrase things as something happening against the other player's will but really that not end up happening sort of thing. Does that make sense? I didn't intend for it to sound like an auto hit, my bad on that! More the intent of the hit and when and how it would occur.

Focusing on Crom being committed to those actions in my original post I argue that by having Damien move forward and to his left to the edge of the platform (https://gyazo.com/54626b7984d42aee865cafbc70d5616b) would break Crom's intent of landing on the platform and taking up a defensive position (https://gyazo.com/d59734ce43b52048be5c1cc8fb0ea96f). Seeing as how that was impossible with Damien firing before Crom landed (https://gyazo.com/187e6b64e47a4eef6931fdb979cb1444). Him performing those actions before Crom landed when his intent was to land and defend himself was with the idea that Damien would be unable to cross the distance and strike at him with the repulsor gloves. With that intent countered by you that leaves Crom simply jumping, otherwise if he landed like I said he intended that means you'd get an auto-hit in with your repulsor gloves.

So I was stuck in between getting hit by your repulsor gloves due to the range OR I could control him during those short seconds of him jumping as that's all you left me. In order for Damien to cross over to the edge of the platform (or whatever near the edge means, in order to be in range of Crom I don't see how he could be anywhere else on that platform but the edge. Again: https://gyazo.com/54626b7984d42aee865cafbc70d5616b) and get in range of Crom he would have to dash / run towards that corner. A jump is fast, him being able to get into position he'd have to make a mad dash for that corner especially with your intent of having Crom knocked off in a way where no platforms would be there to catch him.

With that being said, a jump is fast, that means this would all be reflex. For competition sake yes, Crom's and Damien's reflexes are the same but we have to think down to the millisecond here. Crom is already jumping, he has a start on Damien as Damien is reacting to the jump. Damien would have to move FAST (faster than Crom is moving) to the corner in order to actually catch Crom before he landed (https://gyazo.com/e523e522830b6c92848053c5cbb5746b) so that means he is rushing over to the corner of the 4x4 m platform. The distance inbetween platforms is 2m, with Damien being in the center of the 4x4m platform they would have to travel roughly the same distance unless I'm distancing wrong lol. Since Crom would have a moment of him jumping then Damien reacting that means Damien theoretically has to move faster than Crom lands in order to strike before he lands. Crom is going to notice this action and react accordingly, seeing as how his original intention is impossible and with Damien moving forward and to his left the way he is.

Now I don't know how long an average 7 foot jump takes, it's too early for me to be getting THAT anal about it but with Damien moving forward Crom's reflexes kicked in because in those intense seconds that corner edge = push him off NOW. They have the same load out so not only would Crom's first instinct would be push but being moving through the air he could react within that time properly. By stealthy readying his glove that's basically my way of saying he's readying it during his jump once he seen Damien move. In reality it probably wouldn't be stealthy just because this is all happening with in such a short amount of time so really he's probably just readying it. So my bad, I probably should have kept it simpler and said he readied it for simplicity sake. Though Crom going through the air, him opening his palm and getting ready to hit the button isn't unbelievable. Swiftly would have probably been a better word to use again my bad LOL.

Walking and watching is one thing, in order to get the angle Damien is intending he couldn't possibly be walking. It might not even be necessary to run but there'd have to be some FAST movements in order to do what he intended. "Also, I have a slight issue with: 'Crom's reflexes and advantage of being in mid-jump were the deciding factors.' I would argue that your reflexes are no better/worse than Damien's and that being mid-jump is actually a major disadvantage because you cannot adjust course, etc." I already mentioned their reflexes being even for combat reasons but yes, being mid-jump is actually a major disadvantage because I can't adjust course. YOU PUT ME THERE BRO YOU DID THIS TO US! LOL But with that being said, I did what I did with what I was left with and I don't see Crom reacting the way he did was a stretch whatsoever.

Being mid-jump, opening his palm while readying the button and hitting the button when Damien was finishing his run/dash/crab walk whatever to the corner fits in time with whats possible here I think. Crom would be leaping, Damien would have to be dashing to catch up so Crom would have a few millisecond advantage seeing what Damien was doing and reacting accordingly to it. He doesn't have to stop doing anything he is simply jumping through the air and raising his arm, Damien has to race to the corner by any means after Crom has started his jump, raise his arm and fire.

It's past 8am and I haven't went to sleep yet so I hope this makes sense! I'd be happy to keep discussing why or why not this would all work but like I said I tried to work with what I was given but I truly think my post is valid. If you don't I'll be around in the PM tomorrow sometime to reply again as I gotta pass out, wake up in 4 hours and work. Today is gonna SUCK haha.

But yeah my dude, let me know if any of this doesn't make sense or if you still disagree with parts of it and we'll see what we can do!
