Hishamori looked towards the two padawans that she had been asked to watch over by their master, the young Jedi Knight Taruna. While her face no longer showed her earlier embarrassment of have going off on a monologue with one of those said padawans, she was still scratching her cheek out of a slight nervous habit, before remembering the other padawan, who had just find her way out of the crowd and towards them, asking where her master was.

"Your Master went to try and talk to Jedi Master Renelo, as she left the hangar. She asked me to watch over you two till she get's back, so it's nice to meet you. I'm Jedi knight Hishamori Hashama." Hish said with a slight nod of her head "Soo, what exactly do you two and your master do and learn together exactly?" Hish asked with a curious tone of voice looking at both padawans.

"Honestly," Aeryun would say as she looked around hoping Leah might be able to chime in with some good advice. "We haven't really trained yet..." Her face flushed as she said this. "We kind of just got to this ship a few days ago. Taruna asked us to be her Padawan and well, she's been busy."

She wasn't saying it to be mean. Taruna had a lot of responsibilities it seemed as a Knight. And, Aeryun was also partly to blame because she had a mini freakout upon hearing the news. Hishamori likely heard about the blind girl who spilled her food over herself in the cafeteria. Well there weren't a whole lot of blind Padawan in the New Jedi Order, none she'd ever met at least. It was kind obvious who the rumor was about. She didn't like to talk about it.

Hishamori let out a small 'hmm' at the statement, and in return she shrugged. She could understand after she first came to the Jedi temple, all those years ago, she didn't train really at all until after the first or so week after said fact, and that was due to her Master wanting her to get used to living in such a large place. Though the circumstances were obviously different, they were still similar enough that Hish could understand.

"That's fine. If it's only been 4 days since you two got here, then I have to say your rather lucky to have a someone training you at this point, and I doubt you guys are quite used to such a lively ship. My Master way back when I came to the temple, thought it would be best for me to get settled in for about a week and half before training." Hish did a small shrug. "This isn't the temple, but it's still pretty close to how it was when I first came to the Jedi order. Of course the War hadn't been going on back then, but still the feeling was about the same." Hish said with a sympathetic smile towards the young padawan.

Hish had been rather confused by the nervous demeanor displayed by Aeryun, and raised in eyebrow in a rather questioning manner towards her fellow padawan, but looked back at the padawan. She thought about it a little bit, but came up with nothing. She looked at the blind padawan with a rather confused look before her thoughts screeched to a halt... blind.. 'oh' Hish felt like a total idiot, Aeryun might be nervous about that fact, that Hish might have a problem with her or such, and she sighed mentally at herself for being insensitive. "Don't worry Aeryun, you being blind does not bother me. Nor should it really bother you either, while you are unable to see things as everyone else does, you are able to see things in a different way compared to everyone else, I have no doubt it is a rather unique experience, and the fact you don't let it hinder you is something to be proud of." Hish said with a amused tone of voice, her face turned into a small smile and she giggled a bit quietly to herself, though not quietly enough since the two padawans could hear her plain as day. "Just try not to let the pride make your head swell. I can't imagine a young padawan of your age and stature having a rather large head." The utter amount of humor in Hishamori's voice was so obvious you could feel it almost infest the air around her.

Aeryun would not really catch the smile that Hishamori would offer, but she could feel the bond between them and would end up smiling anyway. She liked that the Knight was trying to calm her and be friendly. This went a long way in her book, since she mainly dealt with emotions when dealing with people or difficult situations. But then Hishamori started to get a little preoccupied and Aeryun could sense this. Her own anxiety was still floating around her like a dark raincloud and she hoped that it wasn't terribly obvious.

"Don't worry Aeryun, you being blind does not bother me. As she pointed out the blatantly obvious fact that Aeryun was blind, she couldnt help herself from audibly sighing. She didn't like it when people tried to be sympathetic towards her or when they treated her differently. Yes she may have still been a teenager, but she was far from a child. But then Hishamori said something that Aeryun didn't expect. She hadn't been talking her blindness down, she was actually saying that Aeryun should be proud of her gift. This was probably the first time she'd ever had someone say that to her (upon first meeting her that is). She was kind of shocked by the sudden compliment that Aeryun had trouble coming up with a response. Awkwardly, she laughed in response to the Knight's joke but the annoyance that would have normally come up from a conversation such as this was long gone.

Finally, she came up with the words she wanted to say, "I don't think my pride will ever be a problem." She was speaking now with a rather enlightened tone, but also a sad one at the same time. "I've been in enough battles to know that my skills are not as great as they can be. I've got some badass skill-" she would laugh as she flexed her right arm, "-Don't get me wrong, but it's nowhere near as great as Taruna's. Or any of my other Padawan friends, for that matter."

Hishamori had a rather humorous smile as she looked down towards the young padawan as she flexed her arm, Hish wasn't sure how much longer she'd be able to not laugh at the display and merely shook her head slightly with the smile, and hmmed as she just had a thought.

"Well while we wait for your master and such padawan. Tell me, what particular lightsaber form are you interested in and how well do you believe you've got the hang of it?" Hish asked curiously towards Aeryun.

Aeryun would tilt her head to the side as she thought about the question. She reached behind her and brought out the double staff from her back, igniting both green blades.

"Aside from my own style of fighting, Taruna has taught me Soresu. I've gotten the gang of that one, but Idk how it translates to using a double. I just built this one, you see, and well....I've played with it some. I just don't have a certain style or form. It's harsh. Um......unstructured?"

Hishamori nodded as she listened to Aeryun tell her what she actually learned so far. It wasn't much, but to be honest Hish wasn't expecting to be talking to a padawan that was somehow a Jedi master in disguise... weird train of thought.

"I see. From what I understand from you telling me, you sound like you don't have a proper foundation for your martial arts. And that also translate into not being able to really use that saber staff either." Hish said with some confusion, Hish wasn't sure who had been training the padawan before her current master, but who ever had failed to give the young girl a proper foundation for her martial skills, and because Aeryun was somewhat jumping head first into learning how to use a saber staff, without at least some before hand knowledge or training in a form that allowed use of one, it was even more difficult and more apparent that Aeryun was struggling to get it right. Looking at the saber staff, it didn't look that bad to be honest and Hish could see some potential but she had to be sure first before anything else. "Okay, do you mind showing me what exactly it is that you can do? Actually before that let's move to a training room where you don't have to worry about hitting anyone with that staff of yours." Hish said as she quickly realized they were still in the middle of the hallway and the leaded Aeryun to a training room that wasn't far. "Alright this is better. Now show me what you can do okay?" Hish said with warmth in her voice as she watched.

"I see. From what I understand from you telling me, you sound like you don't have a proper foundation for your martial arts. And that also translate into not being able to really use that saber staff either."

Aeryun wanted to argue with the Knight, explaining that she knew the basics and enough to defend herself. It was a perfectly viable 'foundation' so she felt a little annoyed that Hishamori was looking down on her. But she kept her mouth shut. Even if she could handle her old saber, she would be lying if she said she knew what she was doing with the double.

"Okay, do you mind showing me what exactly it is that you can do? Actually before that let's move to a training room where you don't have to worry about hitting anyone with that staff of yours."

Aeryun nodded, feeling around the people around her. Every now and then someone would come crossing by them. She hadn't thought anything of it since she felt safe on this ship. But it was still no place for a saber drill.

Together they walked to a training room that was much more suited to their needs. They were alone since a lot of people were still having discussions from the meeting.

"Alright this is better. Now show me what you can do okay?"

Feeling that now was the time to show off her skill, Aeryun readied herself. She grabbed her saber and held it out in front of her. Feeling with her mind and using the Force, she switched on the saber by the internal switch. She'd cleverly made her saber so that only a Force user could handle it.

Rather than using both blades, Aeryun only activated the first beam. The primary one that would point upward. She brought her off hand to the hilt and then brought the saber up, and then behind her back. She beam was parallel with her spine, and she would turn sideways; her left ear was pointed to Hishamori. This is how Aeryun liked to fight.

Aeryun would then begin the dance that was her saber form. She struck at invisible enemies and blocked incoming laser blasts. She'd rehearsed the drills and forms countless times. For Hishamori, it would be no different than her watching a youngling going through their basic training.

But then Aeryun got better. She activated the secondary beam and her speed increased. She began to drift off of the normal style and 'go with the flow' as it were. She began to spin the saber towards fake opponents. She spun and jumped over the saber like a well trained Jedi. Her arms and legs stayed clear of the beams, which was good, there was just one problem. There was no form. Hishamori would be able to see blind spots, openings. Her back was wide open. But aside from that, the girl was quite skilled for someone who'd only had the saber for a week or two. It was something to be impressed by. Aeryun was a strong Jedi. That much was true. Her use of the Force gave her a great power, especially for one with such a crippling handicap.

She'd continue to move around for a good minute until the Knight told her to stop.

Hishamori watched on at the display feeling impressed with some areas and not so much with others. While Aeryun had started out doing basic form stances and strikes like a normal youngling would, it did change, but what replaced it wasn't that much better. For sure Aeryun had skill as she was successfully wielding the staff without harming herself, but then She had no style, and the amount of openings that could be seen made so that even if the padawan was at least skilled with the staff, that didn't mean she knew how to properly use it.

"Alright, you can stop now Padawan Aeryun" Hish said as she thought about how best to summarize what she saw. "First, you did a rather good job, you definitely have skill with a saber staff and effectively wielded it without hurting yourself or worse. But you have no form, and while you do know how to wield a saber staff, that does not mean you know how to use it properly, but I digress most padawans at your age aren't very good at using a staff either let alone wielding it correctly, you at least can wield it correctly. Now all you need is to practice more with the staff, find a form that helps you take advantage of what a staff is capable of, and from there learn how to properly use it" Hish said honestly. "I can teach you how to properly use the staff if you want, as the form I took had me training in the use of saber staffs as well as duel blades." Hish gave off a slight warm feeling as she seemed to get a bit excited at teaching the young padawan before her, "But before we get into that, tell me. How did it feel wielding the staff?" Hish asked curiously as she did wonder how the young padawan had felt as she used the staff.

"Alright, you can stop now Padawan Aeryun"

Aeryun came to a stop and looked relatively toward the Knight. She wasn't exactly feeling a whole lot of confidence or rather approval in her statement so a small frown started to creep over her lips. She then deactivated her sabers and walked over to Hishamori so they could talk properly; she left the hilt in her hands.

How did it feel wielding the staff?"

Hearing the Knight compliment her a little made Aeryun feel a little better. She didn't horribly suck, so that was good. But there was still so much to learn. There was always something for the young Padawan. She felt like she'd always be the student to someone in one way or another. Then again, wasn't that part of the Jedi code? Live and learn and all that?

"Thanks," she would say at certain intervals. She didn't want to totally interrupt Hishamori as she talked, so she waited politely. When it was finally time to speak, she did so with a small smile.

"When I went on my first mission with Taruna, this was before she was my master by the way, we went on a security mission in disguise. I got to use a staff much like mine, though it wasn't a light saber it was one of those vibro ones...you know...the electric ones? Anyway, I loved using it. I felt so awesome and free. Using my saber, I often felt vulnerable. But with this weapon I could block and attack all at the same time. I loved it. I told myself if I ever got the chance I'd make my saber the sake way. So here I am."

She would then take a breath and start again, "I want to be able to save my friends, but also be a sword to fight for them. That was always my goal as a Jedi. This was the mission I gave myself when I officially became a Padawan. I want my saber to be both of those things for me. Does that make sense?"

Hish nodded in answer to Aeryun's question. "Yes it makes sense, and I can understand how you would feel that way." Hish said with a smile "It's rather admirable actually, and I'm more than happy to try and help you achieve that goal you've set for yourself... If your master doesn't mind that is." Hish said towards the end with some humor.

"So, your demonstration wasn't bad, and while it does have holes and could be better. We all have to start from somewhere, and so don't let it bother you too much if people say it wasn't all that good. Your still learning, so you don't need be the best or the greatest at anything quite yet." Hish said with encouraging smile and voice, "Now do you mind if I take a look at your saber staff for a moment?" Hish asked curiously.

Aeryun smiled at first. She believed she was finding a new friend in this chaotic times. And it was good to feel someone looking out for her again and showing her the next step. But when Hishamori mentioned Aeryun's master, Aeryun's smile left and it turned more into a scowl.

"Unfortunately," she'd say with a little disapproval, "My master's been too busy to really care what I've been doing."

It wasn't fair of her to blame her master. Taruna was a Knight. She had a lot of important duties to attend to and then there was the whole war thing going on. Training would have to wait.

"So, your demonstration wasn't bad, and while it does have holes and could be better. Aeryun shrugged, holding her staff in her hand for a moment. It was a great deal for a Jedi to hand their saber over. Their saber was their life. But Aeryun felt safe with Hishamori. So she held out her saber, offering it with generosity, and waited for her to look it over. She would see the staff was made with great care and love. The handle was smooth, the grip was strong. Yet there were no buttons on the outside, not terribly common for a lightsaber. The buttons were on the inside and it would need careful inspection to find them.

Hishamori inspected the saber staff and was impressed it was an obviously well cared for saber staff and it was unique in it's own way. Even more so when She found the buttons to be on the inside, that was a good way of keeping from other force sensitives or just people in general from turning it on by accident or on purpose for reasons.

Looking back at the young padawan, Hish smiled and handed the saber staff back to it's rightful owner "It's a good staff. Continue with how your taking care of it now and I'm sure that staff will see you through a lot of trials and hardships" Hishamori said honestly as she then looked around for the master who had yet to turn up yet. Getting out her comm she decided to send a message to the master letting her know that she'd go train/instruct the padawan until she came back. Sending the recorded message and pocketing her comm Hish turned her attention back to the padawan "Alright padawan Aeryun, how do you feel about me teaching you some stances and techniques you can use with your staff? It's completely up to you and I will be happy to answer any questions that you have," Hish said with a somewhat cheerful air about her, and smiled when the padawan looked interested.

(This ending is pretty much a anything can happen ending. Your padawan could be said to have declined and gone to go find her master instead, or taken up the offer and got some training in to better help her fight and wield her saber staff more effectively even learning some new techniques. What those are is completely up to you, I will put in my own version of how I'd like this to end mainly since sour notes leave a bitter taste in my mouth. :p )

Hishamori smiled and congratulated the padawan on her remarkable progress and had no doubt that Aeryun would grow to be a fine Jedi, the padawan somewhat blushed under the praise and looked embarrassed but also thankful. Hearing a beeping from her comm Hish pulled it out to read the message before nodding and saying it's about time to get the young padawan back to her master. Leading the padawan back to her awaiting master Hish stopped a moment to turn and look at the young padawan "If you ever need any help from training, to tips, to advice. Don't be afraid to contact me, and I'll be glad to help. Okay young one?" Hish smiled as the padawan smiled somewhat back and thanked her and watched as she joined her master and then left. Hish sighed a bit glad to have helped the young padawan, even if it was only for a little while.

Boarding her ship Hish, left the Jedi starship with a smile on her face she jumped away into the cosmos looking forward to hopefully brighter days.

(Probably sounds a bit silly, but I'm kind of a sucker for happy endings or at least ones that end on a positive note. again you can accept the ending if you want and add your own perspective on it and how somethings should be different, like say the smiling thing towards the end never happened or not being embarrased. It's up to you, I do apologize for this not being more and hope you still have ((and are)) a wonderful time rping. Also hope to see you in the new Timeline! :D)

"It's a good staff. Continue with how your taking care of it now and I'm sure that staff will see you through a lot of trials and hardships"

"Thank you," the Padawan would reply as she took her saber back.

She humbly smiled and would return the saber back to her belt behind her back. She would then listen as Hishamori sent a message over to Taruna. Was she nervous about going back? Maybe a little. But it was time for her to clock in, so to speak.

"
Alright padawan Aeryun, how do you feel about me teaching you some stances and techniques you can use with your staff? It's completely up to you and I will be happy to answer any questions that you have,"

Aeryun would smile in response and nod her head, "Yes I would rather like that."

They would train for a good twenty or so minutes as her master finished whatever she was doing elsewhere. Aeryun couldn't very well see the stances Hishamori was demonstrating, but she gave the Knight permission to move and position her body as if she were a doll. It wasn't awkward to the girl, she had to do the same with her own master months ago; that was back when they were just equals. Aeryun smiled at the memory.

When the two received a response from her master, they would leave the room and Hishamori was kind enough to escort the Padawan back. They would find Taruna near one of the corridors where the Grand Master had given his speech. Aeryun already felt stronger as she came in contact with her master's aura. Her worries and fears left her. The Knight would then say one last thing to the Padawan before releasing her.

"If you ever need any help from training, to tips, to advice. Don't be afraid to contact me, and I'll be glad to help. Okay young one?"

Respectfully, the Padawan would bow to her, "Thank you, Master. You have been very kind to give up your time for me. I am forever grateful."

She would then run over to her master and give a friendly wave to her new friend as they returned to their own chambers....
