DESCRIPTION
BLX-series general labor droids are a model of unspecialized worker droid manufactured by Serv-O-Droid, Inc. One of the older models of droids still in service, the BLX has been in production since well before the Clone Wars, and is widely used in any number of manual labor applications.

In design, the BLX is not much more than a 1.6-meter-tall metallic humanoid, with standard-spectrum photoreceptors, dual audio receptors and a spotlight built into the side of its head. The BLX's most notable aspects are its durability and stamina; the type has a notably high-capacity power cell, allowing it to work long hours between recharges, plus a heavy-gauge durasteel casing which can resist extreme temperatures and even hits from micro-meteoroids. It also has magnetic grip soles built into its feet, allowing it to adhere to metallic surfaces in zero gravity; in general, the BLX performs well in weightless environments, which makes it an obvious choice for shipyards such as those at Fondor and Kuat.

Notably, BLX droids are designed for easy maintenance, with a double-door plastron granting convenient access to their most vital internal components. As a result, BLX droids are easy to repair and modify, with long-serving examples receiving many upgrades over their commissioned lifespan.

LEGALITY
Legal. Labor droids such as the BLX are permitted in most regions of the Galaxy.
