Orbit of Kessel, The Getaway.

War, quite the strange concept. People went to war over many reasons, differences in opinion and morals, fights over land, credits or resources, hell, sometimes people went to war only to fight and nothing else! But the fact is, many people went to war for their own purposes, but not many realized what was generated by the war itself. Because which every plasma bolt shot, every drop of blood shed and every soul becoming part of the force...Someone gained money, war created rich people, simple as that. You just have to be smart enough to be part of those that gained something from wars and not one of the corpses, at least Gareth saw it that way.

Making use of his new luxury yatch which he had named the Getaway, Gareth Gin, the White Lion of Zaa Fenn, waited for his esteemed guest right after his ship docked with his, a very expensive bottle of Gin placed on the table as the enforcer sat down comfortably, dressed in a business casual manner but still wearing his trusty Matukai gloves, waiting for none other than Emryc Thorne.

Gareth needed to reach quite deep into his contact network in order to arrange that meeting, the president of the ISC was a busy man, and truth is, the enforcer was taking quite a gamble trying such a bold thing. Even if Kessel was property of the Pykes until not too long ago, it was enemy territory right now. But Gareth was a Zaa Fenn, known for their high risk, high rewards heists and ballsy moves in general, so it was a risk he was more than willing to make.

After all, as far as he could tell, Emryc was definitely a businessman as well. After all, out of all the places he "liberated" from the 5S influence, Kessel was probably one of the, if not the most, profitable planets controlled by the 5S. He could've gone instead for one of the planets deeply affected by the AMS virus that could get some use out of the ISC's vaccines...yet those people kept dying.

But that was not something Gareth would bring up, for now he would just wait for Emryc, the ship crew armed but not on guard and just doing his usual things...Save for one of them ready to greet Emryc and his guards and escort them to the White Lion.

It didn’t matter if the man was a 'legend', the enforcer was not getting President Thorne aboard his vessel. These days, Emryc seldom sought anyone anyone out. They came to him, and today would be no different. Gareth would be informed of the change of plans and asked to board the President’s yacht instead, forced to relinquish all weapons and guards.

Inside the meeting chamber, the Miralukan would see the broad framed figure of the President through Force Sight. Emryc stepped forth to extend his hand to shake the man's before offering him a glass of aged Outer Rim whiskey from Ryloth.

“I assume your fellow Syndicates don’t know you are here,” He said with his usual frosty tone before taking a sip from his drink. Emryc was not a model citizen by any means. War with the 5S didn’t mean he wouldn’t cut deals here and there. Very few knew about this meeting and it would be off the record for both him and Gareth. Even if Gareth piped up about it, it was his word against Emryc’s and the galaxy loved Emryc.

After being told about the change of plans, Gareth downed the drink he had poured for himself, grabbed the bottle of Gin and headed towards the other ship, not a single weapon on him, not even his matukai gauntlets...But then again, was he truly unarmed when he still had the force by his side? If the security forces tried anything funny he would find ways to fight back, chances are Emryc knew that as well, but that was fine, he didn't set all of this up for a fight.

Once inside Emryc's ship, the Miralukan would indeed spot the towering Half Sephi, giving him a firm handshake with his trademark smile before grabbing the glass Emryc had offered and then leaving his own bottle on the nearest table "Opened it before the change of plans, take as much as you like, got it for this special ocassion after all." The White Lion of Zaa Fenn took a sip from the drink he had been offered, it was certainly some good whiskey, Emryc had good taste.

"Got enough enemies within the Syndicates as it is, letting them know about my reunion with the person behind most of their headaches nowadays wouldn't do me any favours." The bloodstained history of the Crymorrah Syndicate and the Zaa Fenn related to other syndicates was not exactly unknown, specially recent events such as their war with the Hutts and the execution of Durr the Hutt, something Gareth had taken part of personally, didn't need to give the other syndicates they weren't at war with more reasons to want his head "So, let's talk business, shall we?"

Emryc studied the other man in silence, sipping from his own bottle’s drink for now. His mind briefly wandered to his own use of Force Sight in the past. There was a time not too long ago where he relied on it exclusively similar to how Gareth had. While it certainly made him appreciate how they lived, he would never trade his sight for anything.

“Let’s talk,” He repeated as he walked over to take a seat and motioned for Gareth to do the same. The Miraukan would notice the half Sephi used a lot of hand gestures and more active body language, suggesting that the President was respectfully adapting to Gareth's medium of sight. The inflection of his voice was also purposely toned and varied to completely fill in all the gaps. The enforcer would know how Emryc was expressing himself or what mood he displayed at all times.

“As someone that leads a governing body that borders Hutt space, I understand that the syndicates do not all fit under the same umbrella,” Emryc explained, “But even then, I’m not naïve enough to pretend that there isn’t a single Syndicate that has been creeping into power over the rest. Pyke is all but erased after Kessel was relinquished to the ISC,” The President paused to take a sip from his drink, eyeing the man curiously. This was expressed with the fixated lack of movement just for that brief moment, “You are effectively leading what may amount to be the biggest threat to me. So tell me, why would I be so inclined to do business with you?”
