Location: Grendsho's Place, Botajef
Time: Late afternoon
Participants: @Darasuum as @Hakon Tenau , @Faster Than Light as @Spencer Ward
Theme: Walk In The Wild <> RIVVRS

Botajef was a planet that Hakon had never visited. He had never even heard of it before this mission. Supposedly a great place for ship building. There was a Mon Calamari group that wanted the land that belonged to some businessman. He was no mere businessman apparently, he was a step above that. When the mission briefing said 'tycoon' he was thinking the intelligence were just testing out their thesaurus. However it seemed appropriate as he read further. nearly nine hundred square kilometers of land was owned by the man. For the moment it seemed mostly absent of any sort of activity and there was no details in the briefing of why the Mon Calamari wanted the land themselves. It seemed like it was little more than a military testing site.

The Sith flew a 820 light freighter he had named Paw. Far from elegant or anything of significant class it still did the job. Its two laser cannons were enough to intimidate some and got the Mandalorian Sith around the galaxy well enough. Pragmatic tendencies resided within the man while balancing out the yerning for high quality lifestyle that came with being Onderon nobility, even if he had forsaken his lineage and entire planet.

The ship approached the grounded hulk of an outrigger mass interstellar transport. It was massive enough to be its own city center. From a distance it seemed to have been half gutted while the other half was heavily converted into being a stationary structure. Hakon had seen it before, many times, the hulls of ships transformed into habitations, never to move from their final place ever again. It was actually probably cheaper than building something from the ground up.

Along with his cohort, Hakon was here to convince the man who owned the land to forfeit all surface, subterranean and air space that he owned within the nine hundred square kilometer area. It was not going to be easy, that much he was certain. However the cyberneticist would be disconsolate if it were a trivial affair. Life was about experiences and progress after all and if this was just a forgetful event he would be more annoyed than anything.

This sounds like it won't be too difficult of a mission, all things considered. After all, they are here to convince a tycoon to give up land for the Head Warden's own designs. Sure it's a large swath of territory, but there are many many ways to approach this mission. They could intimidate the guy, or handle it in a more diplomatic manner, or 'make the problem disappear' to use the same words from the mission briefing. When you are a powerful force user and you hold a lightsaber in your hand and not afraid to use either one, people tend to see things your way when pressed. Although then again there was that one idiot on Lothal who dared deny Darth Evandrus the whole planet Lothal, and he took it by force. Sure he could have mind-tricked that weak-minded fool, but maybe that would have been too easy. In regards to the present situation however; in the end, it doesn't matter how, just as long as it's done.

The Sith Master and Judgement Warden himself was in the freighters co-pilot seat. It was his partner's ship he is riding on. He doesn't know much about his partner Hakon Tenau, this would be his first time meeting him. Spencer is more concerned with getting things done rather than befriending other people though. Spencer has never heard of this planet either, but the planet does have shipyards which the Empire is always looking for. So their course is clear.

Spencer, wearing a black outfit, having his armor, lightsabers, blaster pistol, and all his other standard equipment could see the grounded mass transport that's it's effectively his own. He would still be in his seat as they draw closer and closer. They have an appointment with the man they are looking for. Spencer is ready to get this done and go home. Spener would then turn his head towards his partner. "Hakon is it? How do you think we should play this out?" Overall the Sith Master is pretty flexible with how this is taken care of. Settling on one gameplan before going in would be prudent however

The ship landed firmly on the dust covered planet. Hakon felt it shudder slightly from the change in inertia before looking over at his companion and superior. He did not move from his seat in the pilot's chair for a moment as he thought over the options. While he had already formulated a plan he did not want his cohort to think his own mind was quickly coming up with half baked ideas. Someone responding too quickly to an inquiry was suspect of faulty cognition which was certainly not an impression he wanted to give to Master Ward. He took the time to not think of anything other than what he had already imagined. Instead he looked at the landscape through the cockpit windows.

The sun was getting low was an hour away from setting. It caste the scene in an ideal golden glow that was often used for photography, film making and other visually stunning presentations. It was only for a few seconds but Hakon took it all in. The planet was beautiful and the Onderon noble savored the view for what it was before answering Spencer. "Let's be as diplomatic as possible to start. That way we can always say we gave them a chance if negotiations degrade." He was well aware that the more sinister and violent options were a certain way of achieving a successful mission ending. However a brute lacking in any specialty could accomplish that task. it took someone with guile as well as prowess to do both. Hakon would be lying if he said his own pride and aspirations were not a factor. He was always trying to be better than he previous had been.

With those words said he would understand if the Sith Master had his objections. The Mandalorian was fine with also just eliminating all traces of the man they were supposed to meet with. Hakon was confident he could convince the man by less than civilized means to signing over the land. There was a reason he had been nicknamed Demagol by his fellow warriors before joining the Sith Empire.

Standing up from his seat he donned the helmet of his personal armor. It was far from the most diplomatic of outfits but it set the desired visage. Afterwards he would head towards the exit, leaving the ship to his droids until he returned.

Spencer would nod along with Hakon's suggestion to resolve this diplomatically. Even if the tycoon is as stubborn as the mission report says, still shouldn't be impossible. They will just have to be very convincing that this will be in the man's benefit. And failing that, there are more lethal methods. Lethal for the other man that is. If he is smart, he will go along with the Sith. If not, well that would be his problem. Hakon's armor doesn't seem like it would be the greatest for straight-forward diplomacy, but having an intimidating look could still help when it comes to these things.

Hakon is ready to go, Spencer is too. Once they would step off the ship, Spencer would look in the direction of the carrier and glance in different directions at the scenery and environment, the orange skies are clear, there are spires and some mountains in the distance and theres semi-arid terrain. No time for a whole bunch of sightseeing however. Their goal first and foremost lies in the grounded ship-structure. The Sith landed at a designated landing area, this meeting with the Sith was pre-arranged and are expected. When the two step off the landing ramp, there would be a protocol droid waiting for them. "You two are here to see Mr. Grendsho, yes?" the protocol droid asked with a synthetic female voice. "Right this way then, if you would." the droid would turn around and lead the way through the interiors of the grounded Outrigger.

After a decently long walk, the two would then come upon the door leading to Grendsho's office. "Mr. Grendsho is waiting for you two inside.. After that, the protocal droid would then scurry off to complete other tasks. Now that the two Sith would be at the tycoon's door. Spencer would nod towards his partner and then open the door. They woud see Grendsho sitting at a desk at his office. Flanked by him are two GR8 Series Battledroids and one AK-46 Droid standing at attention on the right side of the desk. The traitorous Jedi Shadowmaster can plainly see that Grendsho isn't lacking for security as he is meeting with Sith. "Howdy boys." the old human man said with a smirk before he would contempt, having a tone of contempt. "Now, you Sith guys have been trying to convince me to sell to you guys for a long time. I'm not going to do it unless there is something in it for me that is clearly worth my while. Otherwise it's not going to happen. I'm a very busy guy so you guys better convince me in the next five minutes." he also said with confidence.

The Sith Master can see that the guy clearly isn't that fond of giving up anything. He'd rather live high and mighty like he is now. So might take some extra convincing. And his speech annoyed Spencer. He would speak. "Okay. First of all: It's in your best interests to accept. You know who we are and what we've done right?" Spencer would let the older man think about that as he continues. "We plan on using your lands for Mon Calamari to expand their shipyards, something of which would greatly benefit us. And something that we are willing to pay a good deal of credits for. The Sith Empire has no shortage of money after all, you should already know. You can still have your ship as well, and you could also do business with Mon Cala shipyards if this goes through." The Mon Cal have a lot of cool ships among other things.

"If you accept, we could be your best friend. He accompanied with a light chuckle. "It sure is better having us as an enemy" he would end with a smile, as he ended with a hint of a threat. If Hakon has anything to contribute, he's up. Spencer isn't really a diplomat, he's a ex-Jedi Shadow. Killing is what he does best. And if that old man doesn't see reason then he is prepared to escalate this. Those droids won't stand in Spencer's way.

The man was glad that the master was willing to also be diplomatic on this mission. He was of higher rank than Hakon though he was younger. It did not hurt his pride to be outranked as this was not his first time on a mission being the lowest in standing. In the mandalorian's defense he had joined the Sith Empire more recently than others and most of his life had been under a some organization or other.

As they approached the meeting place he noted the security. The man likely had droid guards because they could not be swayed with simple tricks like mortal men could. Machines did break and malfunction though but for some that was an appropriate trade off for something, or someone, that could be turned at the thought of profit or promises of the flesh. Loyalty was in short supply in this galaxy.

Hakon held in a sigh as he heard Spencer be upfront and heavy handed with his introductory speech with the belligerent merchant. It was harsher than what he had planned. Hakon was ruthless and border line diabolical in his mechincations of interrogation. One had to be in most cases with the Black Hand but even so he was diplomatic and held etiquette in high regard. Spencer showed several cards in just the first few sentences, he was practically a teenage actor unable to contain the spoilers of an upcoming holo-drama. perhaps he has somewhere to be or is just that eager for violence. He thought to himself for a moment before. He really should have probably spoken first.

Hakon was about to open his mouth to try and salvage what little was left. However, the man seemed peeved. He looked at Hakon and then back to Spencer, his blood pressure almost visibly rising on his face. "Now you listen here. I don't know what kind of dung heap or peace of junk house hold you were raised but this is unacceptable. I'm told your interested in proposing a deal but you walk in here like you already own the place. Those Mon Callie bastards can suck an egg for all I care. My price just doub- no quadrupled and that's just to start. Honestly, what a waste of time."

Spencer might have been a little bit too... what''s that word. Upfront and honest, rather than sweet talking the guy. That's what happens when an ex-Jedi Shadow leads negotiations. Spencer has always been someone to talk things out with the burning blade of a lightsaber, rather than mere words. The ex-Jedi Shadowmaster was crossed his shoulders and was visibly annoyed as the old man was outraged. The guy should just go along with whatever the Sith want and make this quick and easy for him and everyone else involve. But alas the old man wants to make this very difficult. Spencer sighed as the guy declared that the price was not just doubled, but quadrupled. Spencer would look to his left and right. There are no other organics besides him, Hakon, and Grendsho. The little allotted time they have is coming down. Better seize the moment while he still can.

Spencer would casually wave his hand. "You will sell to us at the the initial rate" the voice was enveloped in the Force. The old man's expression would change into a confused one, jaw dropped. "What? What do you think you are doing? Droids atta-" and then Grendsho was cut of before he could finish the command as he was grunting, struggling with the command he was given. To this credit he was stubborn enough to resist. But Spencer is as powerful as some of the sitting members of the Jedi Council and some of the Exile Warlords of the old. He will not be denied by some old tycoon.

"Very well. It looks like we have a deal?" Grendsho sat straight and was complaint. "We do." Spencer said on unfolded his arms and nodded his head. "Alright then, lets get the contract all drawn up and we're alright here. Someone on behalf of the Empire will sign it." Spencer would look towards Hakan. Grendsho will have the contract all typed up on the terminal on his desk to be signed at a later date. Their work is done here, right?

While he did not personally approve of Spencer's methods he could not argue with results. Simultaneously he was aware that it was not the time or place for constructive criticism even if it was meant to be delivered in a jesting light hearted manner. Spencer did not seem like the type of person to appreciate such a lesson from someone beneath him in rank and affinity for the force. This was only made more evident when he simply dominated the man with a wave of his hand. Hakon was not one hundred percent sure it had not just been Grendsho realizing he was in a corner and no amount of words or orders to his droids was going to save him or his property from being taken by the Sith Empire. It was better for him to keep his head attached to his neck and his bank account full than the alternative.

Hakon need not say a word to object to the agreement. However he was going to get something out of the deal for his own personal interests. "It is alright for me to take one of your security droids yes?" He waved his own hand in the direction of the business man as his eyes moved to one of the droids. "It is alright for you to take one of my security droids. Yes." Hakon smiled as he heard the programming restrictions removed and essentially transferred ownership of the droid over to Hakon. It was not a great droid but perhaps he would find a use for it later.

There would be no further issue with the business man nor his security measures. The two sith had strolled in, heavy handed and took the man down a peg. While his mind was muddled the bureaucracy could not be denied. Even if it was, there was sure to send someone like Hakon to come back and teach the man a lesson. But if he was smart Grendsho would not have to see another sith soul for the rest of his life. After all, the Empire was generous.
