Vandreen's Folly Cantina - Upper Cloud City - Bespin

Mission 3: Everyone Has A Price

The Baron Administrator, to put it simply, is a jerk and this has rubbed certain members of the Bespin Wing Guard the wrong way. One in particular is a human male Lieutenant by the name of Gasus Rend. A meeting place has been established. He is willing to tell us anything we want to know and is willing to get some of his other corrupt buddies to help out when the time comes... for a price. He’s going to be a difficult one. Secure his cooperation by any means. Meaning via meeting his demands, convincing him via silver tongue, or intimidation, and if the meeting is discovered by security, deal with them and escape with the contact in one piece.
At the Vandreen's Folly Cantina on the top of Cloud City on the gas giant Bespin. At an empty bar booth large enough for four people, Gasus Rend sits alone cautious and paranoid. There he waited, drinking some ale imported from offworld waiting to meet some body, or rather some people. He was constantly looking every each other direction. Because he is expecting some contacts soon, and because the goons working at the Bespin Security might be watching him. He is sure he wasn't followed, but he can't help but wonder, because the Baron Administrator of Cloud City doesn't let anything get past him. He has security cameras in most places, but he is positive that there are none in this bar.

So the reason he is here, because he was contacted by someone. This someone being Ademaro Di Gino. Leader of some pirate group. They somehow figured out that he was tired of getting bossed around and jerked around by the Baron. So, in the Vandreen's Folly, Gasus will meet with some of his Di Gino's 'friends' and then Gasus will see about getting some of his Bespin Wing Guard 'friends' to help with the pirate leaders 'friends' at a later date and giving him some inside info, but he isn't going to risk his lively hood and station if he isn't going to get anything in return. Quite actually, he wants to retire and live a life of luxury for the rest of his life. Maybe have an estate on Chandrila.

So now Di Gino's people should be arriving any minute now. When they do, he is going to see what he can get out of them for his services. Pirate's moving in on Bespin is a rather bold move, he must say.

Sucking in a nervous breath of air, Ellié takes a moment to assess herself within the deeply tented window just outside the Vandreen's Folly Cantina, wanting to make sure nothing appeared out of place before entering inside to meet with the man named Gasus Rend.

Her hair is styled into a loose updo, with lace braiding along the sides, and a short, strapless, black dress and black thigh-high lace stockings. Adding onto her height, a pair of black and red stilettos help to push her well over six feet tall, and the only accessory she wears is a simple, yet elegant, ruby necklace ending just above her collarbone. In her right hand, a red clutch purse just big enough to carry her DP-09 is supported. The blaster was something she'd debated back and forth with herself over bringing, but the need to protect herself had eventually outweighed any possibilities of trouble that could follow in carrying it. The fun had been finding a purse big enough, yet discreet enough, to carry it and an extra reload of ammunition within, but she'd eventually managed.

Finally finished assessing herself, she takes note of the Cantina itself. Located within the upper levels of Cloud City, it's a place she's never personally been inside, having only once seen it from a very far off distance while taking pictures. And, unable to help herself, a feeling of wariness sneaks along her spin. It wasn't often that she willingly met with someone that wasn't a friend, and having the bounty placed on her head a few weeks back had only increased her paranoia when it came to public meetings, especially within Cloud City itself.

Once inside, a faint whiff of cool air rolls over her exposed shoulders, carrying with it the exquisite scent of sweet alcoholic drinks and, very faintly, coffee; the smell of the coffee was something she loved, almost as much as the taste.

Thankfully, from her position at the Cantina's entrance, it only takes a moment for her to scope out the inside of the Cantina and spot a man resembling Gasus Rend within a far off booth. With delicate steps, her heels making only the faintest of tapping noises, she quickly makes her way to the man. Once at the booth, it only takes moment to confirmed that it is, in fact, Gasus, as she lowers herself into the plush seat across from him, folding her short dress underneath her thighs; making sure to keep her legs together, angled slightly to the right, with her ankles crossed.

When comfortable seated, she extends a hand across the table, offering a faint smile, "Gasus Rend, I presume? It's a pleasure to meet you, my name is Ellié, and I'm here on behalf of Di Gino. I'm sure my other associate will be here momentarily for our meeting. Would you like for me to order us some more drinks, or food, while we wait?" Her voice is soft, airy, and just loud enough for him to hear, not wanting to attract any attention; all the while making sure to keep eye-contact while speaking, wanting to assess any emotions that may come over his features from her introduction.

Garmak finally arrived in the cloud city, it was the first time he was in there, and to be honest, he found the city too fancy, so white, so peaceful, full of greedy rich pricks who didn't have any problems at all, but he didn't worry about that at all, problems would come to them united under a big, orange flag with a bird. Garmak understood why the boss wanted the planet for themselves, it had one of the most important resources for a pirate, Tibanna Gas, what kept their ships up and running, what made some of their blasters work and what could blow up the house or building of some idiot that opposed them.

But of course, taking a planet was a big deal, and many tasks had to be done, the boss gave Garmak a simple task, he had to convince someone of helping them when the time was right, what Garmak knew about him wasn't much, his name was Gasus Rend and his boss was a prick, but he didn't need much more to convince someone, he would initially offer him something in exchange of his help, and if that didn't work, he would scare the kriff outta him so he thinks it twice, not the brightest plan, but it was what worked better for a 3 meter tall guy like him.

Garmak was wearing is usual Vagabond armor like always, but since they didn't want to draw much attention, he wanted to look less pirate like and more "civil", a Esoomian would always draw some attention, but if he doesn't look that dangerous, people around him won't fear him as much. That is why he was wearing his best piece of clothing, his leather duster jacket, made of the finest rancor hide, made by one of his mates after they found a dead rancor on a big transport ship. the Jacket didn't only cover his armor, blaster and make him look fancy, but it also covered his big chainsaw arm, making him look like some kind of war veteran instead of a big psycho with a chainsaw instead of an arm.

So, he walked into the cantina, which he didnt like as much as good old Mos Eisley's one, there, he found out his target, Gasus Rend, and his partner, who was that cute girl from the last meeting, from his point of view, they were the best team for this task, they could play good cop, bad cop, she would do better at convincing the lieutenant and he would do better at intimidating him in case it didnt work out.

He approached them, sitting with them calmly, he didnt want neither to draw too much attention ir to scare the lieutenant with his behavior, yet. "So, you must be Gasus Rend, right? Nice to meet you, did I keep ya both waitin' for too long?" He said, trying hard to sound smooth and friendly for now, trying to have some manners, which was something he didnt have on his entire life, he was in the Cloud City after all, he has to look less like a thug and more like a...gentleman?

Wow. When Gasus Rend he agreed with the pirate leader Di Gino to meet with some of his people, he thought he would be sending some crude-looking thugs like stereotypical space pirates, but he sent a rather nice young lady for him to make contact with. He then replies to her offer of a drink. "I got mine, my dear. I don't need another one just yet either." He then holds up his glass of off-world ale slightly with his right hand as he smiled. Then shortly an Esoomian appears. Wearing a leather duster. Gasus Rend thought... or rather was hoping that it would be a one-on-one meeting with the female Blackbird, but sadly he guesses he can't get anything you want. The Esoomian sat down the things can get started. He looked shady, but in Gasus' eyes there wasn't much that could have been done about that with his species.

"Nice to meet you too. You are just in time". Rend said with an apathetic tone. Gasus then puts his right elbow on the table with his right hand holding up his forehead. He isn't happy about the reasons he is here. He is tired of being poorly treated by the Baron Adminstrator of Bespin and wants any way out of his current position. "Alright. We all know why we are here." He started speaking with a quiet tone as he quickly glanced in different directions. It wouldn't be a surprise to him if the Baron has undercover security officers watching him at this very moment. "I want off this blasted city. I know a whole lot of people who want to see the Baron get disposed. I know that ya'll are looking to move in on this place. So, I'm willing to help out, but seeing as i'mm putting my job and my life on the line doing this, I would like to be 'well compensated'. I suppose that a couple 24k acres of prime real estate on Chandrilla won't be a problem once ya'll take over this city right?" Gasus then chuckled. In his mind, that's what he thinks he deserves for enduring the Baron all these years and if he helps the pirates. "Do we have a deal?" He'd assume they take it. Of course any sane person would deny this. He then smiles and nods in approval of his own words. Perhaps there is a legitimate reason why even the Baron treats Gasus so poorly. Oh one more thing "And since there's probably going to be a bounty on my head, maybe a facial reconstruction surgery and a new idenity? Starting off with a blank slate ya'know?" He then smiles again.

Tilting her head to the side, Ellié smiles to the Esoomian; her partner for this meeting with the dear Lieutenant Gasus Rend. And, from Gasus Rend's words and requests alone, she's able to tell that he was a rather self-absorbed and egotistical man. The Lieutenants demands were rather outlandish, "a couple", of twenty-four thousand acres of "prime" real estate on a planet such as Chandrilla? No way would Di Gino agree to such a request. If it were some planet within the Outer Rim, still developing, then maybe that would have been doable. But not within a Core World planet, and such a purchase of land would no doubt warrant a few raised eyebrows within the Empire, which would be rather counter-productive to wanting to disappear.

Trying to keep her flirtatious smile in place, she places the clutch purse to her side, still within an easily accessible location to grab if the need were to arise, and, motions towards a waiter, she quickly asks for their three best available drink. Even if Gasus Rend didn't want another beverage, she would still provide a nice drink for him; if anything but to seem courteous to the greedy man. And, with that out of the way, she turns fully towards Gasus, voice calm, a stray strand of golden hair falling from the loose updo and resting on her cheek and exposed collarbone, "Dearest Mr. Rend, your request has been duly... Noted," she licks her bottom lip, leaning forward, causing more hair to fall around her face like a halo, "but I just want to tell you something first. This estate on Chandrilla, being such a large purchase, would no doubt warrant a deep investigation into your personal life by the governing Empiral residing over the planet. Such an investigation would more than likely crush whatever façade we could build for you." Pausing to offer Gasus another smile, she continues. "And, seeing as you wish to disappear... This all seems rather counter productive in all actuality, don't you think?"

Shifting her legs underneath the table, she continues after allowing her words to fermentate, "Now, I can offer you a personal estate I own, gifted to me from my parents, on Commenor, and a residential house on Chandrilla could no doubt be acquired for you. That's two amazing homes on two very beautiful worlds, and I'd even be willing to personally help you in picking out a home on Chandrilla, if you'd like." Ellié winks at this, giving a soft giggle. "As for the facial reconstruction surgery, that's honestly not that bad, so long as we can get it done for the right price... But it would be such a disappointment, never being able to see your handsome face again." Her face takes on a sad expression, looking him in the eyes, "And when it comes to the new identity, I could do that for you with my eyes closed with ease. My knowledge when it comes to slicing is rather... Extensive." Another giggle comes from her lips at the last part.

After saying all this, she turns towards her partner, "What say you, my friend? Is there anything you'd like to add?" Her voice still holds some of the airy flirtation that had been directed towards the Lieutenant, but her eyes shine with friendliness and understanding, not wanting to leave him from their discussion, valuing whatever opinions and points he might be able to offer.

Garmak listened to the man with attention, and he came to one simple conclussion, he was either very stupid, very egocentric, or both. That was just crazy, nothing that man could do was worth that much, while he was needed, they simply couldn't accept that prize, his partner knew that too, giving him another offer, the Esoomian knew what game the girl was playing, with all those insinuations, when a man thinks a girl is interested on him, he is much more easier to manipulate by said woman. And that amused him, that idiot would probably fall on that, after all, he probably thought that he was some kind of handsome rogue that could get all the ladies.

However, when his partner asked him about his opinion about the matters that where being discussed, he just tried to play along "I agree with ya, after all that stuff that is going to happen here on Bespin, you don't want to misteriously dissappear here just to get all that on a place like Chandilla, would raise up suspicicions, is not a good idea. On the other side, she has the means to give you a new identity, and I myself have contacts, people that could do that facial reconstruction surgery, if you still want to do it after her opinion about the matter, that's it. So, you should take her offer, she is offering from her own belongings, that is quite a big deal, I guess you understand that" He said. It would be hard to turn down that offer, or at least he thought that, since now it was not only bussiness, it was kind of personal, VERY, personal "Also, if you want, I could bring you on my ship myself and protect you until you reach your new home, for safety purposes, so you dont get much in danger until you reach your new home, I would be your personal bodyguard for that amount of time".

Well shit. Looks like Gasus' dreams of a grandiose retirement life on Chandrilla with all those acres and a brand new identity have been deconstructed quite thoroughly with the two talking. It stung, a lot. But it looks like he has no choice but to lower his expectations and take them both on their offers. Gasus then grits his teeth and then sighs. He then responds to the two. "Well, heh. Looks like I got no other choice. It's either I help ya'll, or I'm never going to get off this crummy station" He isn't happy that he has to settle for (way) less. But it's either he helps them or the Blackbirds will never be able to take Cloud City without his help he thinks. If the latter happens, then he will have to languish under the heel of the corrupt Baron who years to come. "Alright, my dear." He chuckled flirtatiously "I'll just accept the place on Chandrilla. Commenor isn't my cup of tea. And I'd like the new name and identity. That way I can retire and enjoy my time in the sun that I'm more than entitled to at this point without a bounty hanging over my head " and then he turns to the Esoomian. "And I'll take you up on being on your ship after this is over. Thank you very much sir" he smuggly smirked. Although he isn't getting everything he wants, he still getting these people to bend over backwards for him, inflating his ego again.

Outside the Vandreen's Folly Cantina, Bespin Security officers are mobilizing. The cantina has two exits. The north and south entrance. There's now five officers each pointing weapons at each of the entrances (for a total of ten officers). They haven't fired yet, and they haven't made any overt noises, but secretly there is a bug planted in the cantina near where Gasus and the Blackbirds are meeting at. They have evidence of Gasus planning to be a turn coat. The Baron Administrator suspected as such from him.

Now back to Gasus. He tells the two what he plans on his role that he plans on playing when the time comes. "So, now that we are in agreement. I know a lot of people who are tired of the Baron being a total asshole. The Baron still has a lot of people loyal to him. But with the city in chaos, my assistance should be invaluable towards your plans. We'll help you fight his goons, while ya'll go for the Adminstrator." He then puts his elbows on the table and forms a finger pyramid. "Anything else you guys need to know?" He rolls his eyes.

Unable to help herself, the right corner of her mouth perks up in a satisfied smile. They'd been able to turn Gasus' outlandish request into something relatively more manageable. Even if it meant more work would be required, she was proud of both herself and her partner's abilities in persuading the egotistical man from his earlier idiosyncratic desires. Now all that remained was for the three of them to get out of their current rendezvous meeting to somewhere more manageable and safe, and not outside her comfort zone. And, after a moment of thought, she was gratified knowing that she'd be able to keep her parents home on Commenor. Not that she intended to ever return to it.

Shifting her body once more, this time to accept the alcoholic beverage she'd ordered for each of them, she offers the waiter a silky smile and quickly takes the required amount of credits from her purse, paying for their drinks right then and there. The drink was a clear-colored vintage wine, with delicate-looking pink blossoms floating along the wine glasses brim, which quickly turned it from its clear appearance moments before into a now shallow rose-color; a neat trick, she had to admit. Taking a second to swirl and aerate the wine, she couldn't help but enjoy the sweet aroma that drifted from it.

Holding the glass by its stem, she raises it the other two men in sort-of congratulations. To onlookers, they might as well of been business partners that had just signed away some important sort of deal, and not planning a coup to take control of Cloud City from the Baron Administrator. All they needed to complete the display was a document and dotted line to sign.

"I have nothing left to ask, save that it will be such a pleasure to work with you. May this new friendship be profitable to all of us." At this, she throws the wine glass back, drinking deeply from it.

Once finished, she sets the glass down, her cheeks displaying a soft-pink blush, and fishes inside her seemingly magical clutch purse once more, pulling out a comlink; which she quickly leans over the table to give to Gasus Rend, "It's protected and untraceable. If you need assistance with anything, I'll be on the other line to help in any way I can." Once finished and having handed the comlink over, she goes silent, relishing in the hushed buzz and chatter of the occupants around them within the Vandreen's Folly Cantina; no doubt her Esoomian partner would like to get a few words in as well.

Me trying to figure out how Ellié will survive this PvP engagement:

At least her stilettos could be classified as dangerous weapons if need be...

Garmak smiled after hearing what he wanted to hear from the Lieutenant's mouth, they managed to make the man take their offer without even making him feel bad at all, he may think that they were bowing to him, knowing how egotistical the man was. However, he was actually being played like a damn fiddle. Now he was happy, didn't have a reason to turn against them and accepted their offer with ease.

The Esoomian drank the liquor quickly, the Esoomians needed big drinks to satisfy their thirst, and alcoholic drinks like this one weren't hard enough to make them feel anything, drinks strong enough for Garmak were the ones that would make a human get into a coma, however, he drank it just because the girl had the courtesy of buying it, and he didn't want to be rude.

"I think this is enough for today, we shouldn't make this reunion any longer, we don't want to catch unwanted attention, do we?" The fact that the lieutenant was having a meeting with two strangers, one of them a Esoomian, was suspicious, and which every second that passed, they would gain more unwanted attention

@Versok All good. It happens

"Ah yes. We should go. I look forward to our next meeting. When ya'll are ready to move in on Bespin, let me know and I'll hold up my end of the deal as long as ya'll hold up ya'lls."
Rend said as he got out of seat, smirking in confidence as he will soon get everything he wanted. He will exact some revenge for his mistreatment from the Baron Adminstrator and he will look forward to retiring on Chandrilla. As soon he turned his back as he confidently waved to the two Blackbird contacts, three blaster shots then suddenly broke through the windows and broke some more windows, with them narrowly missing Rend and missing the Blackbirds. This was enough to send the other patrons and the cantina staff in a panic as they lower themselves on the ground, then an authoritative voice was heard via a voice amplifier device.

"Attention Gasus Rend and pirate scum. Ya'll are under arrest under the authority of the Baron Administrator for threatening the stability of Cloud City. Come out peacefully and you will live. Resist us, and we will not hesitate to shoot. This is your first and only warning."

The ten Bespin Security guards remains at their positions. Five aiming their blasters at the north entrances and the same with the south entrances. Also a Bespin Wing Guard Cloud Pod then passes over the Cantina, flying low, but not enough to hit the building and then veering upwards after passing it. Gasus heard the sounds of the replusorlift engines as the craft passed overhead. The Bespin Security forces are not playing around. If the pirates and that traitor don't come out quietly, they will storm the place. The Bespin guards, with their blue uniforms and blaster pistols, are ready and willing.

Immediately upon hearing the shattering of glass, Ellié dropped to the ground, covering her head with her arms as a shard of glass cut deeply into her right forearm, narrowly missing her radial artery. Licking her lips, she allowed a deep breath to exhale from her lungs, listening to the pompous idiot outside calling for their immediate surrender. How could the Bespin Security guards be so idiotically stupid as to shoot up a Cantina full of innocent pedestrians? These acts of unproved aggression towards a crowd of people would no doubt reflect poorly onto the Baron Administrator and law enforcement of Cloud City as a whole. Already, some people around them that had gotten over the shock of being shot at and were taking out their datapads and camera's, snapping pictures that would no doubt be hitting the main HoloNet news within Cloud City soon.

Crawling on the ground, causing the cut to her forearm to ooze out more deeply-colored blood, towards Gasus, she grabs ahold of his arm, dragging him back towards the Esoomian and their table. "Listen," her voice is hushed, bearly above a whisper, "we can use this to our advantage." Saying this, reaches for her purse, taking the DP-09 blaster out and begins to apply direct pressure to the wound by gripping the cut area firmly with her left hand and elevating her right arm upwards. Within moments, the steady oozing of blood slows, a few droplets splattering to the tiling below.

"There are two exits. The northern and southern doors." Speaking, she points to both doors and then glances to the Esoomian's chainsawed appendage which she knew was hidden beneath the jacket, "Both doors will be guarded by who knows how many imbeciles, and then we have that Pod too worry about." With another look to where she knew the chainsaw was, she looks the Esoomian in the eyes, "Which means we'll need to make our own exit... Just how good can that thing cut through a wall? A Cantina one, at that? Or did you happen to bring any explosives that we could use to blast through the wall with? I'm sure that would case a nice distraction, provided to us by our fellow patrons as they rush to get outside." Then, turning back towards the cowering Gasus Rend she says, "Whatever happens, we cannot give ourselves up to these bumbling simpletons, so, stay close to us."

"Oh, man, I jinxed it, didn't I?" He thought as soon as blasters was fired, aiming at the lieutenant and the cantina in general, shard glass fell from the windows, falling all over the hulking alien, luckily, the rancor hide was one of the toughest hides in the galaxy, it wouldn't protect you from a blaster shot or a vibrosword, but it certainly could protect you from falling glass, however, his face wasn't protected and therefore, it wasn't a surprise that he ended with a shard nailed in his cheek, a bit higher and he would have lost an eye. However, the Esoomian just sighed, without showing any symptoms of pain, he simply stood up and took the shard out "These kriffin' idiots have to be the worst security guards I've ever met, they could have killed a bystander, bloody morons..." He heard her fellow partner idea and got closer to the wall examining it "This wall ain't kriff., some kind of cheap concrete...I can go through that easily" Garmak said, raising the sleeve and revealing his chainsaw arm, the intimidating appearance of the chainsaw probably striked fear into the bystanders, however, he wasn't aiming for them.

Before getting to work,he took out his heavy blaster, pulling it out of his jacket, and looked at the lieutenant "I guess you have brought your own blaster with ya, right, Rend? If you haven't you can take mine" The Esoomian said, he wasn't afraid of fighting a couple security guards, he had worse fights, however, if anything ever happened to the lieutenant, all that would have been for nothing, and the boss would probably get angry. He started to pierce the wall, trying to make a hole big enough so they can all leave through it, it would take a minute or two.

"I got my own blaster. I'll cover that door"
Gasus Rend pulled a blaster pistol out of his holster as he aimed his weapon towards the north entrance. He saw that that the two pirates took some glass wounds, but Gasus was able to duck down quickly and only got some cuts piercing some of his clothing. He was a little hurt but adrenaline and him determined to live another day is what is keeping him going. As the alien with the chainsaw arm started to get to work on the wall. The leading Bespin officer on the outside then said on the coms "Send some men in. On each of the entrance, some Bespin Wing Guardsmen are sent in. There is two Bespin officers immediately storming through the door with more coming behind them. As soon as the the two go through the door, they would fire at the pirate group. Gasus Rend fires his weapon three times at goons on the north side, leaving Rook to handle the ones at the south door.

Uncertainty rushed through her for only a millisecond as the Bespin Wing Guardsmen and Officers shattered their way through the Cantina's northern and southern doorways, blaster fire deafening her as plasma bolts soared towards her head. Shifting her body, ever-so-slightly, as to not be hit, she lifted her blaster. Trigger finger squeezing down, she discharged deadly plasma bolts towards the first Bespin Officer in her sight; hitting him squarely in his right shoulder.

Adrenaline coursed throughout her body, her heartbeat sounding as if it were hammering and thundering and striking against her rib cage hard enough to shatter bones to her ears. Blood rushed to her head; causing her to go light-headed as another bolt escaped from her blasters' barrel, striking a man who'd swept through the southern door, blaster raised and ready to fire.

An exasperated breath escaped her lips as she looked back, listening to the chainsaw cut away at the Cantina's wall, "Almost done? I'm afraid if we prolong this firefight, innocent civilians are going to end up dead." With this said, she couldn't help but show revulsion at the incompetence of the security forces. The desperation in this assault was evident, the inadequacy of the Baron Administrator illuminating tenfold for all of Bespin to see, only highlighting how unfit he was to govern over Cloud City.

Garmak kept working on that wall, he was humming some kind of song while doing that, not worrying about that blaster fire that he heard behind him, he was working fairly fast with the chainsaw, being as precise as he could, it wouldn't take him much more time. "Yup, this new exit will be finished in no time" After a few seconds, he finished his job, that part of the wall was cut, and ready to be taken down "All right, ill go first" He kicked that part of the wall, falling outside the cantina "Follow my lead" He said, getting out of the cantina, he had the blaster in his hand and he didn't even turn the chainsaw off, in case he needed to hurt someone really badly, he thought that the guards would be surprised, not expecting that, but in case someone was waiting them outside, because they heard the chainsaw or something, he would take them down in no time

The four guards who were the first to go inside the cantina have fallen to the combined firepoer of Room and Rend. "Nice shooting there. Didn't know a lady could be so good with a blaster while wearing a dress" he flirtatiously smiled towards Rook's way, having been impressed with her aim and evasion skills. After the Esoomian managed to create and escape route in the building and got out of the cantina, Gasus had no desire what so ever to stay so he went along with him. By this time, the rest of the Bespin Security Guards then stormed inside the cantina as fast as they could after the initial wave failed. Once inside, they found nothing but frightened civilians who were in the middle of a shoot out between the Bespin Guards and the Blackbird Pirates. Then they saw that there was a hole cut into the wall of the cantina, it was a crude one. It wasn't one created by a fusion cutter, yet there were still burn marks from the friction of the chain saw, then they look out and see the pirates. They then attempt to pursue.

In the airspace above Cloud City, the Cloud Pod then flies above where the Blackbirds are, with it's repulsorlift engines being able to be heard from the ground team. Gasus looks at it after it passes overhead and disappears across the tall buildings. "That Cloud Car Pod. that's going to be a problem." He then asks his pirate contacts. "Any one of ya'll have a ship off this blasted station?" he asked, not holding back his tone. As those Cloud Cars have starfighter grade weapons, even the Bespin Wing Guard can't fire into the streets, but they will pose a problem for one they have to get a ride off the station.

Ace had been circling, his YG-300 Series Frieghter almost becoming part of the scenery as he passed back and forth through the various traffic lanes above Bespin. On more than one occasion since he had dropped the two pirates off, his Co-Pilot - a Droid by the name of Why-Gee - had taken over, such was the monotony of the task at hand. However, once the Cloud Car had shot passed him toward the location of his clients, he had taken back the controls, his Gibbious Flight Suit alerting him to the pace at which the Cloud Car was moving.

"No such thing as easy money Why-Gee." he remarked, turning the ship into a steep banking turn and following the Cloud Car. By the time he had caught up the ship was already swooping low over-the-counter destination of his clients, and Ace rolled his eyes. This is gunna get nasty, he thought, firing a single burst of his ships blasters across the nose of the Cloud Car. "I'll take out that Bird for you fellas. You just mop up those punks in snazzy uniforms yeah?" he commed to the team on the ground as the Cloud Car looped around to attach l him.

Bring it on, he snarled, during the shields and hammering a few more shots at the approaching Car.

Well, they were out of the cantina, but they had to get to the ship and escape from the guards, who were still following them "Well, here is our pilot, he will take care of that damn Cloud car" He prepared his blaster, those who wanted their heads weren't probably far away "All right pal, ya got it, give that piece of flying garbage hell" He commed to the pilot "so, you know the streets better than us, lieutenant, which place is the best for a pickup?" He said, while shooting in the direction they came from, hoping to lucky shot some of the guards who were following them. On one hand, the mission just went downhill and Garmak knew it, on the other hand, Gasus was still alive and well and the Esoomian would have a good time slaughtering those incompetent idiots. So maybe this wasn't that bad, at least not from the point of view of the chainsaw loving maniac

The Cloud Car was especially designed to fly very effectively among the clouds of Bespin. It would fly almost seamlessly, it was faster than the freighter too as well as more maneuverable and also has a smaller profile. Those factors give the cloud car a good advantage of the freighter. When the pilot did a loop to get behind the freighter to evade his initial shots. It seems that the freighter's turret was tracking the cloud car down and was firing from that as well. The Cloud Car pilot fired some more shots while veering port-side to take cover behind some skyscrapers while trying to dodge the freighter's cannon fire. Took quite a lot of damage to the Cloud Car's shield. As he would pass from one skyscraper to the next, there would be a window of exposure. Put after passing three, he would speed up and shoot a sustainned volley of laser canon fire at the freighter.

Now for the ground team... Gasus saw the freighter engaging the Cloud Car right as the pirate contact told him about his pilot partner. Good. With that thing distracted, they can focus on getting out of here. While shooting at the pursing security officers on the ground, he then tries to think of a place to extract which is really hard to do at the heat of battle. He isn't much of a soldier as he is a glorfied police officer. The Bespin guards were dropping quickly from the combined firepower of the Blackbirds, so they are falling back a little bit and using the wall around the hole as cover, while 3 officers fire from there at a time. Now for a place to extract... any of the landing pads will be a bad idea, since there will be more guards at them... he "Uh..." He hasn't had to think under this kind of pressure behind. "Maybe we keep going east. We could try a hot extract at the edge of the city. Sound good?" He said with uncertainty. In Bespin, there's not a lot of open, or wide flat buildings to land on since Bespin has mostly spires and towers. With the Officer's at bay, Gasus looks behind them and then sees an alley way. They could use it to get out of plain view. "Lets go in this alley way. Unless you have any better ideas" he suggested with a snarky tone.

My bad with the late, poor quality post x.x

Well at least we got one hit off, Ace smirked as the Cloud Car picks up speed to evade him. With the Skyline of the City working to shield the Cloud Car, Ace adapting his tactics - and where the Cloud Car could outdo him on agility, he relied on sheer firepower and trickery. Careful to not fall for the simple shoot at it until it dies tactic (as killing Civilians in their homes was not on his to-do list), Ace flew his ship parallel to the Cloud Car as it evaded him behind the towers, and fired up his shields when it opened fire.

Under the hail of gunfire, the YG-Series Shields held up well, dropping by around 30-40% effectiveness and allowing for Ace to drop his own shots back against his assailant. So far, only the ships turreted weapon had been brought to the fore, but as the Cloud Car opened up on him, Ace saw his chance to see if superior firepower could win the day. Opening fire with the YG-300’s two heavy lazer cannons, he fired a short burst and then banked down beneath the Cloud Car, firing the turreted weapon at its underside as he did so.

’’Got you now you little,’’ Ace’s words found themselves interrupted by the sound of his ships shields kicking into gear as they began to recharge. Monitoring the situation on the ground, he called out to his Droid ’’Why-Gee, keep an eye on what's happening with our friends below - as soon as we can, we’ll drop back and help them out.’’

OOC - As the Cloud Car evades, my ship moved parallel to it, and takes a few hits to its shields as the Cloud Car attacks. I return fire with my heavy lazers, and then go underneath it as it approaches, firing at the ships underside with the turret.
