Being the capital of the galaxy, Coruscant had its fair share of dangers but was equally one of the most culturally diverse places in the galaxy. Reuben had come to Coruscant expecting to aid the protection a senator but by the time he arrived he had been dismissed and since his transport back wasn't due until tomorrow and it wasn't late enough to justify going to sleep yet, he figured he would spend a couple of hours doing something until then and since Coruscant was a planet-wide city there was nightlife everywhere, always. Before long, Reuben was in a busy bar on one of the less reputable levels but not quite as dangerous as the lower levels which seemed to be a different world entirely.

Since the Jedi were still gaining traction in the galaxy, he hoped no one would pay him much attention, it wasn't like he stood out anyway but it was harder to hide being a padawan than a higher ranking Jedi. He sat at the bar and ordered a drink, assuming the Jedi didn't have anything against it, obviously unless it got too out of hand, because it had never been mentioned to him but a couple wouldn't hurt and who would know anyway?

Naadlia looked around feeling uneasy, Coruscant…why did his ship have to have engine failure here! He knew he wasn’t the best or really the most competent pilot or the luckiest…but this was just to much…he could almost hear the force chuckle as his ship approached the planet. He leaned back in the pilots seat not daring to touch anything less the ship decides to blow itself up, force! sometimes he was sure the thing had a mind of its own, and its own goals…it was just a ship but still…this was just ludicrous…

He changed into something less menacing looking than his usual armor, and put on a pair of pants and shirt, and clipping his lighsabers to his belt. He looked down at ‘Alex’ sighing come on rusty…let's get out of here he said as the two of them left the ship and walked out onto the landing pad, smiling at the people slowly walking over to the transport…just a day…that was all the time it would take for them to repair his ship…one day on a republic world…what could go wrong.

Naadlia fiddled a bit with one of his lekku’s before walking into the bar and looking around. He puffed himself up as he walked over and sat down on one of the barstools ordering a drink, he looked over at the guy next to him eyeing his drink and appearance…he looked…a bit out of place…and he also felt…different… so what is someone like you doing drinking? he said not meeting the guy's eyes as his own was placed in front of him.

Reuben didn't expect anyone to talk to him so it took him a moment to realise he was being spoken to. He looked to where the voice had come from, thinking it was the person next to him, a Twi'lek man, but he wasn't looking back at him so he was hesitant to respond. Hearing someone like you made him double check that his lightsaber was concealed because it was generally not a wise idea to have a lightsaber on display, though it wasn't as though many people in the bar would be paying attention to something like that, that is if they could pay attention at all.

"What's it to you?"
He hit back at the question with another question before realising that the man next to him was also force sensitive and a user of the dark side of the force at that, though that didn't change Reuben's attitude much, it was Coruscant after all and frankly he didn't care that much right now, he didn't feel in danger, the Sith must've been desperate if they were following Jedi into bars, though he couldn't be certain who this person was yet, all Reuben knew was to be weary of him for now.

The Twi’lek chuckled shaking his head as he took a sip finally turning to look the other guy up and down, shrugging at his question. Not much just curios…didn’t think your kind was allowed to have fun thats all he muttered into his glass, smirking the whole time. It was just…not what he would expect…weren’t Jedi or most lightsiders….i don’t know boring and law abiding? Didn’t know how to have a good time and mostly just sat around meditating and thinking about the grand scheme of things? So what was one doing on a bar…In the lower levels of Coruscant? Well not the complete bottom…but still…wasn’t his kind to noble to sully themselves in places like this?

But a part from that its not much to me…but you know what they say curiosity killed the cat…and well im intrigued…so he said moving a bit closer im Naadlia…who are you? asked the Sith as he extended his hand, a smirk playing on his lips the whole time, and here he thought the next 24 hours would be uneventful…he knew that most of his ‘friends’ would have killed the Jedi, but he well was more interested in the why and the learning…maybe that was why they all said he was ‘the worst Sith’…funny…

Reuben almost scoffed at the twi'lek but just turned to meet his eyes before speaking. "Yeah, well..." He trailed off, "A life of servitude does seem that way." He replied, realising that it was odd for him to be here without a purpose but not caring because it wasn't like a higher ranking Jedi would find out.

Narrowing his eyes towards the other person, Reuben hesitantly shook his hand. "I'm Reuben." He replied, aware that Naadlia was likely a Sith if he associated himself with the dark side but he didn't seem threatening at the moment so the pair seemed to let the other be for now. Reuben would only act out in self-defence as conflict was always a last resort, one of the Jedi values which resonated with him.

"Are you a... Sith?" He asked quietly, not that the answer would affect him much, as long as the Sith didn't try anything and minded his own business then Reuben wouldn't be too bothered by him.

Naadlia snorted looking at the Jedi more directly what aren’t you a modle Jedi? You look like one… He trailed off, you even have the braid! Such an interesting decoration…so not a fully fledged Jedi then? he asked knowing that he wasn’t anywhere near most other Sith…he was still an Acolyte…not that the Jedi needed to know that.

So when the Jedi hesitantly shook his hand. Naadlia sent him a toothy smirk nice to meet you Reuben, but I must say it was very rude of youhe said taking a sip of his drink you never did say why you were here?he really was having more fun than he should what if someone showed up and he would have to fight…

I am is that a problem? he asked quietly, not that the answer would affect him much, if the boy had a problem then there was an easy answer to that, but he would prefer to just sit and talk…it wasn’t often he had the chance to talk to a Jedi and not have to fight.

This really was an opportunity that he couldn’t miss so he slid his chair closer So why did you become a Jedi? Or have always wanted to be one?

Reuben gave Naadlia a sideways glance. "Just because I look like one, doesn't mean I'm a good role model." He said, narrowing his eyes at the Twi'lek when he mentioned him still being a padawan, what did that matter? What good was the information to him except something to be used as a disadvantage? He was hesitant to respond but he knew that even his silence would mean as much as if he had said something. "That doesn't matter." He said coolly.

"Oh right, um, I just have a couple of hours free before my transport leaves so I had nothing better to do." He shrugged, not willing to give much more information about why he was here than that, including why he was on Coruscant in the first place. "Why are you here?" He returned the question.

He thought for a moment, considering all options about how to react to the Twi'lek revealing he was a Sith, though he had expected it from the moment he sensed the presence of the dark side in him so he wasn't too surprised. After a moment of digesting the answer he replied "Not at the minute." It wasn't a no but it wasn't a yes, he could leave the Sith be unless he became a problem.

"My mother is a Sith so I became a Jedi to protect myself." He replied, sipping his drink. "Among other reasons, like believing it to be a noble and worthy cause." Not that he expected the Sith to understand.

Oh really? But aren’t you supposed to be one? he said chuckling slightly, looking at the Jedi as he narrowed his eyes when Naadlia mentioned him still being a padawan, but really it wasn’t hard to hide…not with that braid…they looked so weird! Why would anyone do that to their hair! At least from what he knew Twi'lek’s just got some weird little piece of jewelry… Oh but it does…I must say I don’t know much about your kind…but don’t most padawans have a master running around after them? he asked with a smirk.

ahh…makes more or less sense…but why not go to the temple? Why here? he said the curiosity in his voice not hidden, it wasn’t every day he got this chance and he wasn’t going to mess it up…Naadlia scratched the back of his neck my ship sort of broke down…im not really…the best pilot …more an adventurous one…so yeah this was the closest planet he said looking down at his drink, how was it that he could ride a swoop bike like it was nothing, but put him I ship and he was a safety hazard.

He couldn’t help but wonder what was going through the Jedi’s head, would he fight him? Let him be? Or report him to the other Jedi…there were so many things that he could do, so when he just said it wasn’t a problem at the minute Naadlia was a bit confused to say the least…glad that he didn’t need to fight but confused thanks I think?

Naadlia’s confusion melted away and back to intrigue at the Jedi’s words your mother…why not become one yourself? he asked, but he did laugh at his next words right because serving the republic is so noble…he said under his breath. you have all this power and yet you use it for serving…you and still do ‘good’ but on your own terms where you want…not where someone sends you he said ordering one more drink.

"I am one." He replied with a frown, entertaining this Sith was getting tiresome but there was nothing he could do except put up with it. He had a strong dislike of Sith on a more personal level than a lot of people, admittedly giving him some preconceptions about them. Reuben knew he had to be mindful of what he said, otherwise he might slip up and say something he shouldn't have, giving away information about the Jedi- maybe that was his companion's aim... though from what he could sense, it didn't seem likely. "Maybe, but I don't." He said, trying to be cryptic.

"Because I want to be here and I'm not in the mood to meditate." He said with a sigh. Recently he had been feeling conflicted between what the Jedi expected of him and what he actually believed, he did not agree on the lack of emphasis on emotion because after all a healthy amount of certain emotions leads you to do the right thing and being taught to fear the dark side leads to more problems than it solves, those were some of the issues he had. He never once thought about leaving the Jedi but he definitely desired change within the Order.

Reuben would not act hostile towards the Sith and would not be the one to initiate any hostilities, not now, not today. "Unless I have to." He added as he finished his drink and ordered another.

He scoffed at Naadlia's question. "Join the Sith after what my mother did? That would be condoning her actions. She killed my father." He shook his head before answering. "Democracy is noble, it is a right. The Jedi intend for what's best, using power for the good of others is what everyone who has such power should do."

not in the mood to meditate? First time I ever heard a Jedi…or well a Padawan say something like that…what would your master say he said snickering a bit. Moving a bit closer, he just smiled at the Jedi taking a sip of his drink. He could tease the Jedi all he wanted about what his master would say…but what would Naadlia’s say if he were here…he would not doubt not be pleased and would try and kill or beat up the Twi’lek for his behavior…it was one thing being curios and wanting to learn, but openly sitting here drinking and ‘discussing’ with the ‘ enemy’…yeah that would not end well for him.

Well then lets hope you don’t have to, I really am enjoying my drink and I just bought one more, can’t have my money going to waste. He added as he finished his drink and nodded to the bartender when the next one was put in front of him.

As the Jedi scoffed at Naadlia's question, the Sith could only chuckle and look at the human with interest. Touché…my father sold me but I just killed him he muttered. He busted out into laughed when he heard the Jedi’s next words, democracy? Noble? Since when? Oh is it now, democracy is a dream and the most flawed system any planet can be governed under, the best argument against it is a five minute conversation with you average voter, you can do far more good without a bunch of old men telling you what you can and can't do, and who to help and not to… he said looking the Jedi dead in the eye, and how are you supposed to be compassionate and care about the universe when you aren't allowed to love? Isn’t that a bit hypocritical? i mean no offence, my friend, it just baffles me
