Black and White

[Dmitri]

A shuttle landed in a Coruscanti hangar. The Republic shuttle door hissed open. A pink-haired captain disembarked. A Lamia Sergeant named Barrel greeted the captain.

"Welcome to Coruscant, Captain Lockhart," remarked Barrel.

Captain Bianca Lockhart raised up a hand. "Enough with the formalities. Where's the Jedi Padawan?"

The Contessa, Bianca's ship, had been enlisted to temporarily fill for a ship in the boarder patrol that had been damaged during the Battle of Ando Prime. One of the locations Contessa would be visiting was Ossus. The Jedi Order had requested Bianca carry an extra person on her voyage. A Jedi Padawan named Nero.

"Padawan Nero is in the waiting room" informed Barrel.

"I see," said Bianca.

Bianca made her way out of the hangar. She walked into the waiting room where she found Nero.

"Good evening, Nero," greeted Bianca. "I am Captain Bianca Lockhart of the Contessa."

Nero looked up at the woman and stood. "Good evening, Captain." he said, and extended his hand in greeting. "Bianca?" he thought. "Isn't that the Latin word for White?" Nero was the latin word for Black, which was a bit funny if you put the two together.

"Italian," corrected Bianca.

The Republic signed a document enabling Nero passage onto the Contessa. She handed the passport to Nero.

"Nigrum and Album are 'black' and 'white', respectively, in Latin," explained Bianca. She smiled. "Though it is a coincidence, I will give you that." She motioned to the door. "Ready to go?"

"My mistake." he said, and smiled faintly. "Yes, I'm ready." he said, and took the passport from her as he stepped through the door. How long should the trip take?" he asked.

"Three days' journey," informed Bianca.

Bianca led Nero to the shuttle. Once they were secure, the shuttle launched and flew towards the battleship orbiting Coruscant, the Contessa. The shuttle landed inside Bianca's ship. Bianca was the first to disembark.

"Welcome to the Contessa," said Bianca.
