After his previous, unintentional outing into what is called the `Stygian Reaches` - a whole new galaxy, Blackwell has dispatched fast-moving hyperspace capable surveyor droids into the new galaxy. Going into a new galaxy was unheard of, until the way was open and it was apparent.

As Nye predicted, Newton was very interested in these new findings. He didn't care about the Professor on the station (Nye didn't either for that matter), Father's mind instead went into the ideas and possibilities of the new galaxy. As predicted, Nye knows his father very well. And he was keen not to waste time, it was only a matter of time until news of this is broadcasted on the holonet, and he intends to beat all the other corporations.

The Blackwell CEO has tasked the clone for this scouting operation. Nye would go forth into the rift that goes into the new galaxy, and then he would oversee the progress of the probe droids. Since this goes into a galaxy far-far away, Blackwell is not able to monitor the probe droids from home, hence why they sending an agent is necessary.

Father is very trusting with Nye, letting him run this operation as he sees fit, even being granted the funding needed. Of course, Nye is keen not to waste any of it. Nye Arden has been flying in realspace in awhile, while flying casually at the helm of the Cantonica in a pretty hands-off manner with it's it's Smart Ship AI Suite 'Sirus' doing most of the work. Not content to be alone in this new galaxy while working, he also has an escort of five droid starfighters, who will follow Nye's commands.

Newton hypothesized since the known galaxy has lots of pirates and other space-farrying marauders, it's not outside the question that this other galaxy might have some too since they have 'intelligent' space-faring life, and there were previously hostiles encountered. He could be wrong on that but it's best to be careful going out. It's more wild than Wild Space is.

That's why Nye has elected to contract out to Apex. With a droid escort and well-renown professional mercenaries, Nye is confident he is has adequate protection against unknown variables that may present himself. Sure, Apex has a high-price tag for it's services but it will be worth it he thinks.

Now firmly in the system and his droid escort in tow, Nye would look around his viewport and his ship sensors, looking for @Nakoa Singh. "Mr. Singh, are you in the system?" he sent a hail. At the moment, there is not a lot he can see other than the empty void.

A whole new galaxy beyond the veil of stars at the edge of the map. The news of its discovery had already lit a fire in Nakoa's chest. Getting paid to explore it was even better. And, by the Force, it was a lot of money. Just because they wanted to go didn't mean they'd short on the service costs involved.

"Very Little Gravitas on-site. Stand by for approach." Hidden out of sensor reach from the hyperspace beacon's guided exit point, the infamous Apex gunship and its escort accelerated into Nye's range, pinging friendly on his console.

"Your airspace is clear," came a second message as the Apex vessels entered a spread-out formation around the Cantonica. Z-99s provided standard escort, while a pair of Starblades took wide sensor-scout positions. Droid fighters were useful, sure, but Nakoa considered them fodder as much as any other fighting machine.

The strategist never used them for important work.

"Ready and waiting, Mr. Arden." The Wrean leaned back in his bridge seat, a thin cigar idly smoking between his fangs. Their nonchalant tone betrayed nothing of the sparkle behind their eyes at the idea of boldly going where none have gone before or the impatient tapping of his foot against the floor.

"Excellent" Nye replied back as Mr. Sighn reported in and is on stand-by. Nye saw the friendly ping on the Cantonica's sensors indeed. Through his viewport, he saw the famed Very Little Gravitas and those Z-99 'Ultra sleek' starfighters. Between his droid starfighters and Apex, Nye is well assured going into trek into uncharted territory.

"Alright Mr. Singh. Glad you could make it. Allow me to be the first to welcome you to this far away neck the woods." Nye would have a light chuckle, then have a brief momentary pause before getting serious. "So, right now probe droids are scouting nearby star systems, then going on to the next, and so fourth. They are looking for ideal planets, resources, lifeforms (sentient or otherwise), hazards, or any other variables that stick out in their sweep." he stated "I am monitoring their activity and I am in communications with them from here."

"This may be a bit dull for awhile."
Who knows how long it would take for one of the Hubbles to signal for something important.

Now flying forward, there would be an asteroid field ahead. It wasn't anything dangerous really, Sirus would gently guide the armed freighter through. Nothing eventful.

Some time later

Nye then got alerts on his ship instruments. One of the probes has disappeared from readings. "Mr. Singh. Hubble-75 has went off my network. Can't tell if it lost connection or if it was destroyed. We need to check it out."

Nye would then instruct his ship AI to prep the hyperdrive then the clone would push some buttons on the ship controls. "Transmitting the last coordinates of the probe to everyone present here." That includes the droid starfighters and the Apex pilots. The coordinates take them to a star system in the north-western part of E-11.

While the hyperdrive is prepping and before a jump would be made, he would then ask Nakoa. "So you were with the DECS Pathfinder crew weren't you? This wouldn't be your first outing into unknown space. Any recommendations or insight before we hyperspace jump?" Nye knows Blackwell has dealt with Apex before. Not only are they good at executing missions, but they also are experienced enough they have good insight and wisdom into things.

Nakoa resigned themselves to a dull bit of waiting—nothing unusual in the Wrean's line of work. Patience was key.

"Understood. No trouble." They spent the time with snacks, sensor readouts, and the usual schedule of study and practice. The crew handled the ship systems and alerted the strategist when Nye contacted them again.

"Copy, angling for lightspeed," the warbly voice of a Nemoidian pilot informed Nye at a nod from Nakoa as he walked back onto the bridge. He clicked on his comms. "I was." There was a pause. "Expect to adapt. Our rules mean nothing out here." Many tended to default to the familiar order of what they used to. When scouring the new and unknown, that attitude would only get one killed. It was the sort of challenge Nakoa lived for.

Their convoy of ships launched to lightspeed and, before too long, reached the given coordinates. The Apex escort spread out wide and ahead of Nye's ship, ideal for interception and scouting. Nye would here a curious gutting over comms.

"Don't see seven-five on scopes. Or debris." An immense cloud of subtly luminescent material stretched out ahead, reflecting starlight strangely like a warped and twisted sea. "Scouts are sending you preliminary scans of whatever that is. Could be in there."

Fishers 1 and 2 sent the data after a few minutes. Aside from unrecognizable surface materials, it looked like scans refracted strangely before a few meters inside the cloud.

"Our rules mean nothing out here" It was wisely said, Nye thought. Now having made the jump to light speed and checking sensors, they we re in the clear. But there was no sign of the Hubble droid. Upon hearing confirmation of no visual of the surveyor droid. "This is odd, this is the last known coordinates." Even if the droid was somehow destroyed, there should be at least bits and pieces of it still.

"Acknowledged" Nye said went he would be receiving data. "Not a bad looking sight though." Nye would quickly get out his EZPhone and then snap a picture of the expanse, before turning the camera on himself and taking a picture of himself smirking while Sirus has the ship on autopilot.

So, having received the early scans, there isn't much to go on. But still this should be investigating further. "I'll send a couple of the droids inside first." For all that he knows, the Hubble might have been disabled or destroyed going into the unknown veil. He won't take unnecessary risks himself, lest he be offline as well. He has droids for that.

If he has no objections, he would imput commands on his ship controls, then two of the droid starfighters would fly on in there. They are expendable. They would fly in, Nye would monitor their status on his ship instruments, and the droids are to check in.

Lets see what happens now...
