Ben Kamich vs. Cade Varr

(OOC: This is almost a free match, but light sabers are restricted, as it makes the match unfair by a great amount.)

The area which the match will take place will be in Corellia, in the putrid streets. On the left side, are a various number of buildings, and on the right side lays a sidewalk, and past that is a lake of water. Dumpsters can be seen in the distance, and it is almost pitch black except for the two circle of lights glimmering from the metallic street lamps.

Ben stands in the middle of the street, his body seen as a glimmer of light. He kindles in the light as his white cloak shines through out the street light. As he stands there, he has his DL-22 blaster pistol in his left hand, and his wrist rocket is hidden under the worn sleeve of his right arm.

He stands there, patiently, and then forms a small grin, as he holds his DL-22 by his side. Ben then waits for his opponent to draw his weapons. While he waits, he plans through out his mind what might happen through out the whole match, and thinks it out.

Cade stood just ten yards from his opponent. He had no lightsaber with him today, it was not allowed for their sparring match. Instead, he had a single sword hanging at his belt, under his long brown cloak. In a flourish he threw his cloak off, revealing his sleeveless tunic and the sword. More noticeably, perhaps, was the fact that he wore a blindfold. He may have been without his lightsaber, but he was still armed with the Force. He feels the Force flow through him and he lets it show him his opponent. Every subtly move, any quiver, even any slight emotion he felt. He slowly drew his sword and held it by his side with his right arm. He waited for his opponent to move and waited for the Force to guide him.

What his opponent does not know was their disadvantage. Ben had a hidden dagger in his left sleeve, hidden from peering eyes. Ben was not aware that his opponent had been a force user, until he had seen the blindfold wrapped around his head.

Ben scanned the rest of his body, noticing the sword hung by a belt. If I want to get a hit on this guy, i'd better keep a distance away from him and rely on range attacks. As he said this, he knocked it out of his mind and looked into the blindfold, as if he was staring straight into his eyes. "Hmph." As he muttered this he put on a small grin towards his opponent.

As Ben got ready to attack, he had noticed a change in the wind. It had begun to grow stronger, which could possibly be a factor in their spar. Ben then held up his DL-22 blaster pistol in a grimacing manner. As he did this, the small gleam of light grew into a small red dot that had been coming from his DL-22.

He then peered at his laser, and took aim at the mans head in quick manner. He then quickly pulled back the trigger unleashing a powerful bolt of energy attempting to crisp his head into ashes.

Cade felt the man look straight at his blindfold, as if to look in his eyes. But the truth was he had no eyes; he was a Miraluka. Although what should have been his curse, was his blessing. He then saw him raise the pistol, and he bent his legs a fraction. The blaster bolt whizzed at him as if in slow motion. He felt it coming and leapt up, well over the bolt, somersaulting in the air, his leap aided by the Force, coming down on top of his opponent. In the air he raised his sword and swung it around for an attack at his opponenent's head, hoping to cleave a hole in the side of his skull.

As the man leaped from my shot, Ben had suspected it from the moment he saw the blindfold. Then, as his opponent jumped at him for a strike at his head, Ben swiftly dropped to the ground and rolled out of sight from the attack that could have done severe injuries, or worse.

As Ben rolls out of the swords way, Ben jumps to his feet and quickly rolls up his right sleeve and slams his gun onto the button which activates his wrist rocket. A quick clank of the button and the rocket blasted off at the mans body, this time for a quick death.

While he fires it, he begins to devise a new method in which his opponent will react to his attacks.

Cade's blade passes through the air and he rolls into a landing. As he hits the floor he feels a nudge in the Force and he follows it, spinning to the left and narrowly avoiding a rocket, whizzing past him and smashing into a building, creating a great deal of debris on the floor. Acting now completely on instinct, Cade raised his left hand and felt the bits of broken buildin, stone and metal in a heap. He picks them up in the Force and propels them hard, and fast at his opponent. A vast heap of substance, some small, thin sharp pieces of metal, able to sever skin, and others heavy bricks and stones, all hurtling toward his opponent. Dodging all of them would require Jedi reflexes and a leap of around ten meters, which would be nigh on impossible. But Cade doubted this would be enough to kill him.

As the debris, a result from the rocket hitting the building, flew at him, he brought back his next thought in which he had previously devised the last attack. Since there is no other way without getting atleast a minor injury, I must duck the large debris, and take in the small debris. But of course, unless my cloak takes it for me. Heh.

Ben quickly thought this through out his mind, and then put his strategy into action. As the debris flew at him, he scanned the area and which debris will go where. His best option was to move several steps backwards, since the larger pieces would obviously fall faster, and a shorter distance than the smaller pieces would. He then quickly shuffled several steps backwards, unaware that he may have dodged the large debris, there was still one large hunk of brick still hurtling towards him. The larger debris stood in pieces against the street.

As the large brick was hurtling at him, he quickly slammed his DL-22 once again on his wrist, sending a message to the rocket. The rocket then whizzed out my wrist launcher and Ben quickly took aim at the brick as the rocket blasted out of his wrist launcher. The rocket smashed into the large chunk of brick, and resulted in small fragments of the rock, size of peddles.

As the thin slices of metal were zooming at Ben, he quickly rolled down his right sleeve, and huddle so that his cloak would cover his whole body and skin, and would receive the impact of the debris. The debris then pierced the cloak and the thin pieces of metal stuck inside of the cloth, lodged inside the seams of my white cloak. Instead of dodging the attack, he used his mind, and calculated it all in his mind as the debris was hurtled towards him.

As they all pierced his cloak, Ben slowly stood up and shook all of them off. When Ben shook all the pieces off, there were several clanks and clinks as they all dropped to the street.

Ben, struck with anger, then ran at full speed towards his opponent, and once he reached his opponent he feinted to the left, and quickly went back to the right to trick him, and then swiftly slipped his dagger out of his left sleeve and attempted to lodge the dagger into the right side of his body.

Cade fell into his Soresu stance and brought his blade up in a defensive sweep. His opponent charged him, he was not even holding a sword. As he moved to Cade's left, Cade brought his left forearm up to deflect the blow and, holding his blade in one hand, attacked to to his right. As he did so, he saw his opponent switch his side of attack and draw a dagger. Cade barely had to move his sword now to deflect the dagger from his right, his unfinished attack had left the sword covering that side. As he deflected it, he fell into the Force and became the eye of the storm. Waiting for each of his opponent's attacks, feeling for them in the Force, and waiting to make his defense.

As Ben ran past him, his dagger had been deflected, and as he skidded down the street a few feet, Ben again took a firm grasp of his dagger in his perspirated hand. He than swiftly did a one-eighty turn and focused his eyes upon his opponents blindfold. Without hesitation, he quickly devised another plan, that may soon end the spar.

If I can lure him into a state of mind where he is only focused on my primary attack, I may have found a loophole in his defences.

He then grasps this thought in his mind for a few seconds, and then bursts in speed towards his opponent, and then slammed his DL-22 onto the button which casts a signal for the wrist rocket to fire. As Ben runs towards him he unleashes a powerful rocket blast aiming at him, but right before it is unleashed, he raises it to the building next to the man and the rocket zooms into the building creating an explosion of debris which to, had small pieces of metal, and large pieces of brick and stone.

There was more point to hitting the building than falling debris, it was the manner of how Ben attacked. The opponent cannot see both sides at once, since the dagger attack had happened at least a second after he hit the building with the rocket, which should have caused him to either focus on the dagger, or the debris. More than likely, not both. Since they almost happened at the same time, there is a small chance that he had dodged it.

As the debris it about to fall, Ben sprints at full speed at the man with his dagger in his left hand, and his DL-22 in his other hand. He had switched hands for his weapons before he had fired the wrist rocket. He then leaps at the man, and lunges the dagger at his left lung, for a fatal injury.

While Ben had been conjuring up his dagger attack, the debris was still falling towards him and his opponent. Successful or not, Ben would have then dived out of the perimeter in which the debris was falling. Either the dagger, or the falling debris, could prove fatal towards this blindfolded man.

((I'll assume that the debris falling in my direction and your attack are simultaneous))

Cade, now feeling the Force all around him, sat calmly in his Soresu stance. He was a very competant duellist with Soresu; constant defense with a patient mind, allowing the Force to guide him. In the hands of a master, a solid Soresu defense was impregnable, which was why, in fact, Cade had elected to use it. He did not think he had mastered it, but he had great focus and patience. Then he felt the first attack of the man, but it seemed that their lay something beneath that. The rocket this time, strangely, raced past him and into a nearby building. Simultaneously, the man leapt at him, dagger aiming straight for his chest. He heard the rocket detonate and a brace of debris flew from the building towards the two combatents. He felt through the Force and the main danger was his opponent. None of the debris was going to cause any great damage as he spun to one side and brought his sword up in a defensive arc on his left to deflect his opponents dagger. At that moment the debris reached them, pieces of charp metal and jagged stone hitting both of them at random speeds and angles. Cade felt, again, none going to vital areas, although as he remained in his Soresu stance he felt a great number of sharp, short pains on his arms as pieces of metal and glass shot past it, giving glancing blows. On small piece of metal lodged itself about a centimeter deep in his left arm and he quickly pulled it out with gritted teeth as he continued his patient defense to his opponenets next attack.

As the small debris had been stuck onto Bens cloak, and the large ones had hit neither one of us flew down, Bens dagger struck against his sword, and as it struck against his sword, he held his opponents sword with his dagger and aimed with his right hand at the mans body with his DL-22.

He then fired the DL-22 at the mans body as he held his dagger up against the mans blade. The DL-22 unleashed a bolt of energy towards his left lung.

A small piece of metal had been caught in one of his hands, only a small cut, but it could have been worse.

((Have they been invented yet?))

The flash seemed huge in the Force to Cade as he dived out of the way, dropping his sword, the blaster bolt so close to his arm that his left a light burn on his arm. He rolled on to his feet and leapt up, raising his arm and calling his sword, hilt first to him. He caught it and stood before raising his left hand and sending a great push at his opponent in the Force, strong enough to send him flying back into the wall of the building.

(This era, and the Rebellion era. Besides, id have to finish the match with it anyway... and btw, tell me if the dagger part is too unrealistic).

As Ben had been pushed back with great velocity, Ben slid out his dagger from his wrist rocket hand, and it fell into his palm. He then grabbed it with both hands, one with a gun, and one with the dagger, and held it behind him, so that maybe if he was to hit the wall, the dagger would break his velocity by hitting the wall and sticking into it, therefore dropping Bens velocity from the force push to point blank zero.

It had worked, and the dagger had been wedged inside the wall of the building. Ben felt as if he was just in a trance, but nothing was wrong with him, he had came up with a good strategy.

He had then tried to pull his dagger out... it was wedged in to deep for the shaft of the blade to slide out. He then ignored it and he then held his pistol up high, standing there.

Ben pulled the trigger several times, and as he did this he aimed around the mans body. There was a barrage of shots in several areas, most of them aiming for his body.

As he shot them, it seemed as if he was chasing after the lasers. While he had been running he prepared to get in a defensive stance.

A nudge in the Force told Cade of the lasers and quick as a flash he leapt up, covering the ground between him an his opponent in a high arc, before landing near to him and unleashing a vicious attack with his sword, cutting across where his opponents stomach would be.

It had begun to rain down upon the streets of Corellia, as was the wind. To the sparrers, this could have been an advantage or a disadvantage. The rain came down hard, and what once was a dry atmosphere, was a wet one.

As he did before, Ben did a bent down skid, such as a skid while crouching from the velocity in which he ran, and he then slid under the sword as it had only had been a few millimeters above his head.

Ben could feel the rough blade against the top of his hood, and had been struck with fear for a small moment. When he had passed the sword he had realized he had not been struck by it. He had bent down far enough where the sword would have hit his stomach, but it had gone just above his head. His agility took a great part in this evasion.

He had been sliding a few meters uncontrollably, and then finally slowed down to a stop. He then raised back up to his feet, and waited for his opponents attack. He had devised the next phase in his mind slowly.

Cade saw his opponent pause and he frowned. He had been on the attack almost constantly, yet now he swtiched to defense. The Force urged Cade to be wary, so he checked his stance and brought his sword up in a beckoning gesture, ready to once again be a wall of defense.

Ben thinks to him self, assuring his thoughts.

There is no point to go in offensive, with his little Soresu stance, Its almost as if I can get no where near him. Some of my attacks have been effective...but now, I will have to rely on counter attacks.

Ben then comes back to reality gesturing him to attack with his finger.

Cade saw his gesture. His strength and his form was Soresu. He would not be drawn into attacking, that was the exact opposite of Soresu. But when his opponent gestured him forward,he could not simply ignore the gesture. He raised his left arm and felt his now abandoned dagger in the wall, far away in the Force. He yanked it toward him with a pull of the Force, and with the power of the Force he managed to yank it free, it rocketing into his waiting hand. He caught the hilt, raised his arm and threw it at his opponent. But it was not just a thoughtless lob. He guided his aim towards the man's neck with the Force, and he pushed the dagger forward with the speed of the Force, it was as fast as the man's own blaster bolt, a mere blur of silver hurtling towards his opponent. He intended to get a hit, even if he missed his target on the first pass, he would yank it back and make sure it struck somewhere.

As the silver blur emerged from the scene, as Ben had planned, he dropped his left hand to the ground and bent his back down so that the dagger would have gone straight past him. Training in the academy, this was one of many skills he learned as a warrior.

The dagger speeded straight infront of his eyes, passing him, and he was filled with relief. If he had used the force on it like that, he would not just have tossed it at me and left it lieing on the ground, he would have obviously yanked it back.

Ben had then rolled up his cloak from his legs, up to his knees.

((Oh I didn't see your edit earlier...but a dagger in a wall of stone? It would have bent before piercing it, but it doesn't matter. That inch of the wall can be soft.))

As the blade span over his opponentd head, still under Cade's control, just as if he was throwing his lightsaber, he rotated it in the air, so now it was spinning vertically end over end and rocketing at the back of his opponent, on a lower trajectory too. If he was standing upright it would be heading for his behind, but as it was, the blade looked sure to hit his head.
