Belyael waited for his training to begin. He was laying in a small grove that was within another complex. Some lattice work with vines running through them lined the outside of the circular area. He was resting in the center of a small circle of tall grass. He has pulled one of the stocks and stuck it in his mouth, currently chewing on it as he waited. Belyael hadn't brought his guns with him, only his sword and coat rested on a small concrete slab near him.

Rev's pace was slow and smooth, the posture of a Jedi could clearly be seen as he walked. Each step had the same leverage, push, and landing as the last and never missed a beat. Spotting his new Padawan he smiled, ready to train the young Belyael. Walking over to the lad he removed his own cloak and hung it on the nearest slab just as the boy had. Speaking out in his well known, friendly, and near-roaring voice he addressed his newest Padawan learner.

"Belyael is it? I have heard much about you... destined to be a great Jedi I am almost positive."

Sitting down next to him he pulled a stalk of the grass out as well and did just what his Padawan was, chewing on the stem.

"I'm sure you know the Tenets..?"

"Any Padawan the same age as me who does not know the tenets would most likely be questioned how he advanced even this far."

Belyael turned his head to his master and bit off a chunk of the stalk while holding it still in his mouth. He sat upright and stretched out his right arm. Changing his sitting stance to a cross legged style.

"It's nice to me you, Rev. Sorry for the informality be Knight Ultor seems kinda corny."

Rev laughed at this the boy was true, the title didn't suit him, nor his character. Relaxing he spit out the stalk as the taste was growing old. Stretching out his back he spoke.

"No offense taken, I would prefer Rev to the cornier name..."

He smiled and sat back up straight and crossed his arms wondering where to start.

"I suppose the question necessary is what of the Force do you already know? I'm sure you have been raised in the ways of it, so I'm sure you've got a better handle on things than most..."

"Well, just the basics. Telekinesis, augmenting my own physical abilities, and some healing techniques."

Belyael scratche dhte back of his head. It wasn't an impressive list, but it was a good start.

He nodded and crossed his arms giving his cleanly shaved chin a few strokes as he began to wonder what a good beginning would be. Then the idea snapped into his mind.

"Well then, I suppose I shall see what it is you are full capable of... The rock over there... leap to it and call upon your cloak though do not stand on your feet on the rock, but use the Force to maintain your balance... upside down."

Sitting back he awaited Belyael to proceed with the task.

"Gotta give you points for originality, Rev."

Belyael sighed as he stood. He stretched his muscles and cracked a few joints. He stood for awhile and gathered the Force around him. Soon after he was leaping to the rock. He planted right away onto his arms and tried to find his center of balance. Slowly he raised his right arm and once again began the process of balancing. Giving a few more breaths he slowly raised the arm outwards to the coat and flicked his wrist, drawing the coat towards him. It jerked slightly a few times, but then it finally flew to his waiting hand.

Rev gave him a nod at the landing, the boy knew what he was doing that was a fact. Crossing his arms he watched as Belyael went to work, his balance was nearly perfect, he would not fall. It was then that Rev's eyes fell to the cloak that was now sailing towards his padawan's waiting and open hand. Adding a greater challenge to the task Rev called upon one of the stones that littered the ground. Sending it with enough force to catch his Padawan's eye but to only knock off his balance should he not react he awaited Belyael's next move.

Belyael caught it out of the corner of his eye. It was a fast moving object and he had no time to think about it too much. He hadn't expected for Rev to throw in a curve ball during the first session, let alone the first exercise. Belyael shifted his position on his shoulder and bent his neck backward. He curved his spine slightly and bent his legs to offer some more balance. Just after he assumed this artful position he had felt a jet of air brush by his chin.

Rev smirked, the boy could think on his toes, good he would make for a fantastic Jedi then.

"Good, it would not be a test if it were so... basic?"

Crossing his arms he motioned for the boy to get down from the rock.

"That's all for that exercise... tell me what is it you know of Lightsaber combat?"

He would learn what it is his Padawan wished to become of the three Jedi 'professions.'

Belyael's muscles relaxed and he let gravity do most od the dismounting on him. Though it had only been under a minute or two his muscles were a little sore from the combined upside downess and having to dodge the rock. It wasn't bad and Belyael had learned to ignore this kind of pain long ago. Still, he preferred to lean against the rock instead of stand up at the moment. He pointed over to his zweilhander.

"I prefer to use my sword. Granted the lightsaber has recently become one of the Jedi trademarks but there is something about a sword that just feels better. It's reassuring heft in your hands. I've haerd of ways that you can reflect blaster bolts with the force and that there are certain metals still resitant to the lightsaber. But, if you will have me learn of its use then I will be listening."

He nodded the choice to use a lightsaber or a sword were his Padawan's not his. The sword would be his trademark or the lightsaber would be it, it was a decision the boy would have to make.

"I will use the Lightsaber.. it is far easier to manuever and has a speed to it unlike any other weapon I have ever used... Though the choice is your's my Padawan learner, it is you who will be a defender of the Galaxy, and should you defend it with sharpened steel, or a Lightsaber... That is up to you."

"I choose my sword, I will most likely seek out the metal that is resitent to lightsabers once if I ever become a Knight. So what would you have me do now?"

Belayeal slipped on his coat and stood up. All aches in his muscles have fallen away and he was now physically ready.

Looking to the east Rev seen a group of Mynocks moving in a grouped pattern, odd that they were traveling in a herd. His eyes simply narrowed at the sight of them to better focus on what they were going, then it hit him they were headed towards the Gemstone farming units. The field of mechanical ingenuity let off an electrical beacon unlike anything else in the area, anyone with half a brain knew Mynocks flocked to the charge like a Rodian to some Juma Juice. Looking over at Belyael he gave him a simple nod of the head.

"The farmer's of Ossus have a large grouping of extractors behind that tree line.. should the Mynocks steal any power from those units it could not only destroy them, but hinder the already decaying economy of these people. How well off are you with that blade my Padawan?"

Belyael turned off to where Rev was looking and had been looking at the birds with his Master. He didn't know much about the things and had no idea what he was going to be asked to do.

"I have never gone up against an aerial target. But hey, what's life without new experiences?"

Belyael walked over to his sword and retrieved it. Placing the flat end across his righ shoulder he made sure that he turned so the blade wasn't near Rev. He understood basically what he was being told to do, but he wanted to see if any further instructions were necessary or if Rev would be assisting. Would he really put such a task in the hands of a Padawan?

"They are weak creature my Padawan... though I feel that your lack of experience in fighting a nucense such as a Mynock that I should join you... that and it is no small easy task, especially fighting a heard."

Signaling for him to join him in the speeder he had rode in on he jumped into the pilot seat and started up the old hunk of durasteel. It fired up in one turn and was ready to go, once Belyael was in the side seat he took off, racing towards the heard that was moving at a good speed.

"Something must have disturbed them.. it is not often they come out into the light, they're often found in dark dimly lit caves at best..."

His mind raced as they drew nearer and nearer to the flying beasts, as they got closer he could clearly tell there were 13 of the winged bats. It would be no easy task, though also far from challenging...

Belyale had his sword between his legs with the hilt up. Both of his hands rested on the pommel. He spotted the flying beasts at about the same range. Belyael couldn't lie if he was asked, he was nervous. He was sure that he could handle any attack from the over grown creatures but he was more worried about not hitting them and letting the beasts get to their goal. He brought his hands down to the grip and brought his sword up. He raised a little in his seat and waited for his Master's move. If Rev slowed a little, Belyael would immediately be able to use the Force and lunge at the beasties. The Padawan took his time to try and line up for where he should jump in order to most successfully land a hit.

Looking over at his Padawan he could see how he longed to leap from the vehicle. Reducing speed on the throttle it slowed down to an almost perfect speed. Watching as Belyael lept from the vehicle he did the same after pulling the throttle down to nothing. The speeder would drift almost two hundred yards in front of where Rev would land.

As his feet hit the ground his purple blade hissed to life and stared at the heard of creatures that were now distracted by his apprentice. Running in next to Belyael he would assist his Padawan not only physically but hopefully mentally as well.

Belyael's jump trajectory was almost spot on, his only calculation that had been left out was his speed. At first it was exhilirating to race forward at this Force amplified pace, but he had a job to do. The mynock he had targeted was coming into his range. It had just noticed him and was about to change course but cold hard steel and already struck his head and almost crushed the skull. This motion slowed Belyael's momentum and he was grounded soon. Landing on both feet, Belyael drew the now red blade from the mynock's skull and prepared for his next attack.

The purple blade was in constant motion once ignited, the closest Mynock was quickly cut down to nearly nothing by the speed and finesse of the blade. His view graced on what was left of the heap of mucus that was at his feet before targeting a new Mynock and slicing one of its wings off with an ease only a lightsaber could bestill. Catching Belyael's own handywork out of the corner of his eye he dropped back and let his Padawan show what it was he was capable of and what extent his trainings in the Force were.
