Taris

Anyone is welcome to join, keep shenanigans to a minimum.

Loa looked at the scribbles on the paper and then back at the old man who had given her the paper. Her face scrunched up in confusion and doubt as she tried to figure out if this was a joke or not. At first glance, she absolutely thought it was a joke. The old man had so many wrinkles it was hard to tell where his limbs all connected to his torso; he was also so tanned she was certain someone tried using him to make a jacket and not to mention how terrible he smelled, which he seemed to be aware of, insisting it was the natural smell of the galaxy. Loa knew it didn't smell of roses, but it was hard to accept it smelled of dog piss and burnt engine fuel.

The girl looked down at the paper again, the scribble made out to look like a staff as he described and a poorly drawn map of where he thought he had left it. Loa was fairly certain this was some wild goose chase for this old man's amusement, but she needed some credits, since it turns out to be pretty difficult to roam without some credits in your pocket. She didn't have the luxury of saying she was from the Jedi Order or a solider of the Empire to let others gift her with free things. Though she probably could hear her Master give her a lecture about humbling herself to serve others and this was what she wanted when she leaves the orphanage permanently.

Sighing with an internal defeat, Loa agreed to the task and the old man cheered happily, wisps of his oder crashed against the girl and she was more than happy to cut the good-bye's short in order to get away from him. Recalling what she was looking at and the description he gave her, Loa folded the paper and slipped it into her pocket. The trouble now was trying to find this particular building.

Taris reminded her of her time on Coruscant, building stacked upon building until the natural sky was darkened by the shadows of duracrete and steel. She was uncertain if the feeling she had was that of a former comfort or unease as she looked upwards, her senses stretching out like a good calf stretch after sitting for too long. With as much as a pointless search it would be, Loa decided at least she could try.

A few days removed from the events that transpired on Kwenn. Although the job to protect that spice warehouse was a bust, but at least something decent came out of it. That big green pig that demolished the warehouse was a Jedi. Not just any Jedi, it was Grug, a Gamorrean Jedi wanted by the Republic. It's still surprising that the Republic just outlawed the Jedi and placed a bounty on some of their number. Yikes. Wouldn't want to be them. Oh well. Sucks to be those guys, right? Anyways, the important thing was that Barry got some of the bounty money. One million credits split was still a bunch of credits. And the former Judicial Forces trooper is happy with that.

The Cartel Enforcer/Bounty Hunter had been going around shopping through some of the market places on the planet, wondering on how he should spend his share of the rewards money.

Barry Weathers would have his armor on as any 'always prepared for anything'' type of person shoud be. His left arm clutching his helmet. His blaster rifle slung around his right shoulder.

As Barry was strolling around these parts he would spot what looks like a teenager (@GABA) who seemed... lost. Not to worry, like a good neighbor, Barry is there. Despite being a member of the Cartel, he can be a pretty nice guy when he isn't at work. And helping her would be his good deed for the day. Barry would approach. "Hey there. You look a little lost, anything I can help you with?" He doesn't have anything better to do anyway. He would have a nice friendly smile on him as he looked down at the girl. Barry has a good smile.

Loa sensed someone approach her before hearing him speak, but when the girl looked up to address the stranger, her cheeks turned to a hue of red realizing instantly this stranger was not half bad looking. Her teen hormones seemed to take over for a moment as she let out an embarrassed giggle, suddenly forgetting all her training and awkwardly tried to find a comfortable position to stand. She fold her arms, with a cheek grin, "Lost, nah," she quickly disagreed, but recalled that he may be a little correct, "Ok, well, not necessarily lost, more like I am trying to find someplace but the instructions weren't too clear." she begun to explain, but paused as she pulled out the folded paper, looking at it again.

"I think i have been had by an old kook." Loa admitted, feeling herself gain some more self control over her girl giggles. She studied Barry for a moment, but realized a moment was probably too long to not say anything and her cheeks became bright red as she quickly looked at the paper. "But if you can help me, I'm looking for a building that slightly looks like this." she said showing him the crayon scribble of a blue and black outline. Her senses reached out, detecting anything amiss from Barry if he would to look at the paper.

"What do you think? Can you help me find this or should I go get my credits for being had." Loa pursed her lips, trying to find direction from the stranger, who seemed like he knew what he was doing better than she would ever be able to.

Loa's cheeks changing color didn't go unnoticed, and he has a pretty good idea of what that's an indication of. Only a pretty good idea but he can't confirm it because he isn't a mind reader. But still. Well, the giggling had give more credence to his theory. It happens, Barry knows he is quite the looker and a charmer. "Ah, I see.." He nodded his head acknowledging he is listening to Loa's dilemma. When Loa showed Barry the piece of paper, he looked, dimming his eyes inquisitively. He tried seeing if he could make anything out of the buildings form from the crayon scribble, then he would straight up where he stood, and then take a chance in different directions across the city. Really, even if the drawing wasn't just a scribble, that building could be one of thousands and thousands of other buildings (if not more) on an ecumenopolis planet that look vaguely similar to it.

So, an old man put her up to this? That's odd. Barry would respond, his smile would drop as he grits his teeth. "Well.., we could try looking for it. But it could be literally anywhere on the planet" he explained, gesturing to some of the other other buildings off to the sides. "What exactly are you doing looking for this building? You're getting credits for this?" He wondered, out of curiosity. Context always helps. And she did mention there is credits involved right, how much credits are they talking?
