Apex Mission - Aeten II

Click for BRIEFING

This is going to be a very profitable job for Apex. The senior ranking members know that Blackwell had contracted Apex for this mission. This was going to be a false-flag attack the government of Aeten II that aims to force the government off this world. The contractor wants the governor and his forces either pushed off or killed, they aren't too picky as long as they are removed from power entirely. The Governor's forces consist of a private mercenary group called the Ecliptic Mercenary Group. There would also be some security droids supplementing the Ecliptics.

Once the local government is removed from power, then someone has to fill in the power-void. And that someone will be Blackwell.

Around two-dozen soldiers have been accolated for ground combat, they will set themselves stealthily. Once the fighting begins, they will surprise the governor's mercenary forces and defenses, while a small starfighter squadron will lend air support. While that is happening, that will be the perfect opportunity while they are distracted for infiltrators or assassins to sneak in.

This is not expected to be a difficult job, but the client is offering a big reward.

Not only is this a high paying job in terms of raw credits, Blackwell is also promising a batch of Stygium crystals and some starship cloaking drives as payment in addition to the credits.

Click for OBJECTIVES

There are two primary objectives that need to be completed

1) Ecliptic Mercenary Group forced into retreat or eliminated.
2) Governor defeated, either by his retreat, death, or capture

The skies are twilight on the volcanic world, even the sun sets, veins and rivers of molten lava are still readily visible. About two dozen Apex ground troops, wearing unmarked uniforms have set themselves up along the outskirts of the governor's compound; using the cover of the approaching darkness and rocky terrain, waiting for the signal for an ambush.

It was time, while the ground troops were on stand-by, waiting for the order to strike quickly at the governor's compound, Aden would be taking flight right now with his small starfighter squadron that will be providing support. Aden would be flying a non-descript Cutlass-9 Patrol Fighter, loading with high explosive missiles. Not as good as his usual ships, but for a false-flag operation like this, he couldn't take any of his normal starships because they would be recognized. Also flying with Aden are 4 other Cutlass starfighters with the same payload of high yield missiles as well. Aden would be leading the squadron of starfighters, and overall the ground forces await the Senior Contractor's order to strike.

Soon everything will be ready. Aden and his squadron are flying to the outpost right now. Once they arrive, then the operation will commence.

Once again Nakoa seemed to find himself on some spirits-forsaken world that was just too damn hot. The Wrean wore the full cooling suit intended for dry desert and volcanic regions, along with his usual belt and weaponry beneath the outer cloak. A laser-targeting rangefinder/electrobinoculars was also hooked to the belt for calling in air strikes. While he preferred keeping his distance to observe the bigger picture for large operations, small strikes worked better if he was near the front to monitor ongoing changes. Apex's strategist would be directly present and taking command.

With two Apex officers he relied on present along with other ground forces, he knew his orders would be followed with great competence- even if they were sometimes unusual. The Apex ground forces would be coming in from the flanks above, to scatter defending forces farther toward the facility grounds' front area. With Aden running air support and assault, Nakoa wasn't worried about hostile fighters. Assuming there even were any.

"In position," Singh confirmed with Aden and the other contractors from concealment, eyes sharp behind his protective visor as they counted enemy forces wherever he could see them through his very expensive electrobiniculars. He hit a button to determine the grid position of two anti-air laser cannons at the edges of the compound, then reported the coordinates to Aden for targeting in the near future. The client could build more, they were a budget model anyway.

Concealing an army was no easy feat but the Apex strategists were doing well to not blow their location before the time was right. N4-X4 however was not immediately near the front lines waiting to strike. Instead the BX commando droid had maintained radio silence and used a combination of its own nature as a droid, not showing lifesigns, having a scatterweave coated exterior, and a personal cloaking device to infiltrate numerous locations. However, on this mission it went for a different tactic.

The compound was sealed tight and the droid had not been given enough notice to infiltrate the day before and remain hidden. Naxa's design allowed the BX commando droid to wear trooper armor the likes of which matched members of the Ecliptic Mercenary Group. It was a simple design the likes of which Naxa did not benefit from since they were a warmachine and superior to organics. It would need to wait until they could doff the armor before being able to benefit from their integrated droid functions.

On this mission Naxa replaced their sonic rifle and instead chose to equip themselves with an antique micro missile gun. The droid was able to reload each of their weapons four times thanks to the carrying capacity of the armor webbing. That was perhaps one of the beneficial features to the disguise.

Adorned in their disguise as an EMP guard, N4-X4 approached the compound on a razorfin swoop they stole. The guard would eventually be found in the following days or weeks potentially but by then this crisis would be over. The droid watched the count down on their internal chrono as they approached the gate and showed the guard a code cylinder as they waited for the gate to be raised. "Can't wait for it to get dark. It means I get to drink you know? Any plans later?"

The droid checked their internal diagnostics and hesitated. Not because they were unsure of what to say but because their vocabulator was faulty and needed to recalibrated. After what sounded like a muffled cough the droid spoke in a typical medium sized organic pitch and tone, losing the artificial tinge that most droids had. "I'm just getting started." The guard relaxed and nodded. "Right. My bad. I'm off in fifteen. Just waiting on my relief but you know how it is. Well good luck with guard duty. Don't slack off." He handed the disguised droid the code cylinder and ushered him through the gate. N4-X4 nodded silently and gently accelerated the vehicle into the compound's motor pool and looked for an ideal parking spot.

"Targets acquired" Aden stated after receiving the coordinates of the anti-air defense emplacements. That is good, he would then push some buttons on his ship's dash and then transmit to the rest of his little squadron. The anti-air batteries would be first and foremost targets to blow up.

"Fly low" Aden stated to his squadron as he and his small flight his squadron zoomed over the volcanic landscape of Aeten II. To be frank, intel about the target's base was really spotty. But now they know to expect anti-air defenses, thanks to the Apex Strategist. And flying low helps get them below elevated weapons, but also helps him avoid sensor detection. It's not full proof but it might help. Now Aden and his squadron switched their their shields, and made sure weapons are warm and ready to fire.

Approach is locked. Well after Naxa got into the gates of the base, the Apex flight now have visual of the base as he would fly over, targets in his sight. While he sets his starfighter's crosshairs on the one turret, the other half the flight is doing the same with the other.

Without waiting for the turret to turn towards him now that he closed in, or waiting for the governor's base to respond, he would commence his attack, opening up with a high explosive missile. He would then bank away before the turret could start firing at him and he would watch from the viewport as the turret was destroyed. "Now.". And in succession, the other turret would be destroyed shortly after.

The base was on alert as alarm klaxons went off. Defenders would scramble as Apex starfighters engines roared overhead. The starfighters would start with firing laser cannon volleys at targets of opportunity while making their first passes over the base; aiming for Ecliptic soldiers/droids on the ground. The onset of the surprise attack has made a decent dent in the enemies defenses and numbers already, as footsoldiers are easy prey for explosions of laser cannon shots.

Now then, Aden would keep an eye on his ships sensors, the attack has started, the governor's forces are sure to respond.

The swoop bike was turned off and left neatly in the motor pool by the disguised droid. N4-X4 walked casually towards the main building where intelligence indicated their target would be. A pair of guards passed him but were each carrying supplies to be moved into a speeder, paying the contractor no mind.

The disguised droid walked into the building and immediately saw a pair of RN-18 droids acting as sentries. Each armed with a blaster rifle, their heads turned to look at the newest arrival. N4-X4 faced forward and continued through the building as if they were an ordinary Ecliptic Mercenary.

Ahead of him N4-X4 saw a larger group of people walking away from him and down the hallway. The photoreceptors behind the helmet of the droid focused on the backs of each person's head. Indeed one of them was the governor and he was joined by two security droids of his own. A high ranking member of the Ecliptic Mercenary Group, an officer of some kind, was listening to the Governor talk with two other civilian types. The civilians had their own suited bodyguards as well which all made their way towards the stairs to walk to the second floor and likely the governor's main office. N4-X4 caught something about a meeting room upstairs and did not slow their even stride.

The droid walked through the building's first floor and up the stairs behind the squad of squabbling head honchos. None of them appeared to be happy with their situation and were trying to discuss methods and consequences. N4-X4 watched them enter a meeting room and close the door behind them. N4-X4 choose a closet on the opposite side of the hall from the meeting room and entered.

Inside the dark storage room, N4-X4 removed their armor starting with their helmet and set it neatly on the floor at the back of the room. The droid was far more limber now and could use their integrated functions. The BX command droid wielded their micromissile gun in both hands and waited near the door. Its devoted ID-21 seeker droid snuck into the airvents and floated silently until it got a view inside the meeting room and reporting a live feed towards N4-X4.

The chrono inside the droid counted down until they expected their cohorts to strike. Alarms sounded and it became clear that they were under attack. Guards began scrambling towards battle stations. The high ranking EMP officer exited the meeting room with a commlink in hand, issuing orders. N4-X4 did not move and allowed the man to leave. He ran down the stairs to lead their subordinates. It was one less person between them and their target. There were four combatants inside the room and three civilians. It would not be a problem for the lone contractor.

Alarms sang and Nakoa grinned beneath his helmet as Aden's Archers swooped in to target the anti-air turrets. A sharp whistle told the ground forces to move now into position, skulking close to the grounds in anticipation of their ambush. As the first turret went up and enemy ground forces began to scatter and the Naxa machine should be inside the building, Apex closed in.

From one flank came indistinguishable riflemen and infantry, agile in their maneuvers, taking cover and opening fire on local defenders rushing through open spaces for cover. The combined assault from above and behind forced the Ecliptic mercenaries diagonally toward the front of the compound grounds, nearer the main entrance. Away from the building itself, and from any officers still inside.

The other group surreptitiously posted up on the opposite flank, keeping watch on the building and flanks for possible reinforcements. They could have forces in reserve, and so would Apex.

Nakoa looked over it all from above on the hill, eyes sharp as he kept track of live changes to the battlefield. "Captain, withdraw back point three," he said to the actively engaged group. In response that squad lay down covering fire and moved back from one set of buildings to another, closer to the compound.

A group of Ecliptic mercenaries pressed their 'advantage', moving into a more open space between a barracks and a watchtower. "Bravebird, strike one, buzz target-" he followed with coordinates of the area the now exposed mercenaries were in, calling for cannon fire from above.

Nakoa rather appreciated having Apex's own ever-reliable air support. He glanced down at his wrist computer, which allowed him to track the active and diagnostic status of the Naxa machine. Singh pinged a quick check-in, though he suspected the droid was doing just fine. It was literally designed for what it was doing.

Aden confidently smiled beneath his helmet as things were proceeding well at the onset. One flyby and quite a lot of damage was done to the Eclipltic defenders at the onset. Now aerial defenders in sight, so far at least. The Apex Starfighters would blare overhead, Aden leading the pack with the rest following in a very loose formation, as they would start to circle back around for more attacks,

"On it" Bravebird responded. With that Aden would turn his craft to point in the direction, maneuvering so that his line of sight isn't obscured by buildings. "Light 'em up" he ordered to his squadron once he had targets in his cross airs. Now slowing his craft down, he would unleash a light show of laser canon fire on the hapless, exposed mercenearies. Their numbers would quickly be swallowed by detonations of laser cannon fire. As he makes his strafing run, the fighter ace would adjust the nose of his craft for precision targeting. His wingmen in tow would also fire laser cannon shots of their own, adding to the onslaught.

Now content with the destruction of the enemy position, he would pull up his craft. But the astromech droid would then start beeping, prompting Aden to check his sensors. "Bogeys in the air." he warned the Apex Strategist. coming from the north, about a squadrons worth of blips on the radar. Aden would maneuver his craft to engage them. Before too long, he would see that they are Kihraxz Light Starfighters. They have the numbers advantage and their ships are faster. This will be annoying, but Aden's squadron does need to destroy the hostile fighters to keep them from from attacking the Apex ground troops.

The droid exited the storage close and in a few precise steps it was standing on the other side of the door in the meeting room. Before the door fully closed from the officer leaving, the droid was already at the threshold. The machine leveled its micromissile pistol and fired first at the two droid guards on either side of the governor.

+Two rounds discharged. Two combatants dispatched.+

Someone screamed but the killing machine ignored the and fired another two times. Dragging the barrel of his micromissile with ease, the droid blew away the two personal organic guards of the civilians. The rounds from the droids gun exploded on impact and detonated partially inside the bodies of N4-X4's targets leading to a bloody uncivilized splattering on anything too close.

+Four additional round discharged. Two additional combatants dispatched.+

One of the politicians continued to wail and another bolted for the door. The one trying to run away was batted with a backhand that sent them flying into a desk and leading to a head wound, incapacitating them for the time being. The governor stood with his hands raised and tried to use the screaming bystander as a shield.

The droid reached for the human shield with an open palm, sparking with electricity. Their cries were quickly silenced and led to convulsions on the floor at the feet of the Governor. The droid leveled its micromissile pistol at the governor and watched the whites of their eyes grow larger in terror. A silent trigger pull and firing of the weapon was followed with a half delay of the rocket round exploding killing the governor instantly.

The droid had one round remaining in the weapon. It turned from the two halves that used to be one body and headed for the exit. It reloaded its weapon but retained the singular round magazine in case it needed it later. There was no need for them to kill the two remaining politicians. There also needed to be survivors to sell this false flag operations. They should consider themselves lucky.

Fear and panic spread echoed the Force from the defenders as their manufactured moment of hope became a slaughter. The aerial attack from Aden's Archers killed many and scattered their formation. Sharpshooters picked off stragglers as they scrambled for cover. It was chaos.

"Captain, you have command. Copy, Bravebird," he sent to the ground forces and Aden respectively. Nakoa needed full concentration for what came next.

Irirangi pulled greedily from these waves of emotion that he so naturally detected, drawing them into himself as his eyes rose to the sky. Bravebird reported incoming fighters. He was perfectly competent and could handle it, but that didn't mean Nakoa wasn't going to tweak things in Apex's favor.

Kihraxz were faster and slightly more well-armed than the Archers' Cutlass-9s, their numbers giving them an advantage for formation fighting. But that was only if they could stay in formation.

On the hillside where none could hear he sat and intoned in rhythmic measure. Fingertips curled with power and eyes behind his mask shadowed to matte and endless dark. Where many with empathic talents hid from the horrors around them, Irirangi had learned to embrace it all. They gorged on the terror from below and directed it according to their will, sinking into the Black Current to sense the presence of those beings battling in the sky. The influence they enacted was a subtle, surreptitious thing.

Doubt and fear were suppressed among Aden's Archers while in the enemy fighter pilots would feel the creeping, many-fingered hands of dread clawing up their spines. Hesitation and uncertainty stalled orders and reaction time as some esoteric instinct told them the fight was increasingly hopeless. Where Aden and his fighters would have increased coordination and reaction, the enemy would have less.

Every battlefield was a canvas, action and reaction the pigment. Irirangi would paint their opponents all in arterial reds and melancholy black.

"Copy that" he responderd to the Apex Strategist. Aden felt a sensation as he was about to engage the enemy fighters. A good one however. The normally cool and calm Aden unusually good as he smirks beneath his helmet. He feels also feels like he is really in sync with his wingmen, who are good in their own right.

Two two squadrons would meet and already laser cannon shots are being fired. Aden did see however the enemy fighters are moving sluggishly, their formation is sloppy as their fighters, and their laser cannon fire aim is less than accurate as many shots hit the ground harmlessly or continue to streak in the air. Aden, not knowing what was going on, thought the Ecliptic fighters had poorly trained or poorly motivated pilots - or maybe both.

"Pick your targets, lock on with missiles.... Fire" When the missile lock was achieved, missiles were fired from the Apex fighters as well as laser cannon fire shots, and then the Apex fighters would then maneuver away. Five out of a dozen of the enemy fighters took laser cannon hits to their light shields, and then high explosive missiles next, which would be a killing blow for the fighters it touched.

Aden wasn't done just yet, he would point his craft to another of the Ecliptic fighters and he would fire a laser cannon barrage it. The Ecliptic fighter would attempt to manuever and then fire, but the shots would miss it's mark and the fighter would be shot down out of the sky. Other bogeys would attempt to shoot Aden but he would pull up for a immelmann manuever, only taking a couple light hits to his shields, to which Aden was far from concerned about.

Now only half of the enemy squadron remains, which should be easy pickings. Looking down at the viewport, it looks like the Apex ground forces are doing well indeed. If the fighting and the ground and in the air are going swell, he wonders if the infiltration of the complex is going just as clean.

The droid finally acknowledged the ping from earlier. +Targets terminated. Standing by for further instructions.+ The Apex Strategist would receive the alert immediately. N4-X4 left the hysterical and injured witnesses behind as they made for the door with cold yet purposeful steps. While it said it was going to 'stand by' it was hardly going to be inactive.

Amid the canvas of chaos the droid was absent any sensation. Perhaps they gave off a presence of death and darkness from years of hunting, killing and subterfuge. But the scatterweave coated infiltrator felt nothing as it murdered one mercenary after the other who came up the stairs to check on the commotion.

The micro missile gun went empty again claiming a new life with each trigger pull. The droid's synthetic open palm grabbed a stun gas grenade and threw it against the stairwell at an angle that would make it begin to roll down the first floor's hallway. The yells of "Grenade!" followed by "Gas!" from various personnel would be made in vain. Some would succumb quickly to the effects as the droid began to walk calmly over the corpses of his victims, reloading more rounds into the weapon with efficiency.

With Irirangi's senses spread out as they were, every fresh kill was another small dose of power to draw from. Battle Meditation for them was a snowball effect, an avalanche. Each kill was closer and more personal, echoes of every fallen soul transmitted through the connections they'd made.

The dead screamed and cried their rage. Every downed pilot prayed moments before they hit the ground, and every soldier begged to be saved. It was all fuel for the Shaman's power. A feast for crows.

To say nothing of the disguised killing machine murdering its way through the compound itself. Nakoa noted the report back but didn't immediately reply, focused as he was. As Aden swept up the compound's aerial defenses the Apex strategist refocused their attention on the ground forces. This machine felt nothing, but those it advanced felt mostly panic and dismay.

Irirangi pressed upon this feeling from afar, laying the real weight of the situation all around upon their meager shoulders. But they left a spark of hope; if they could escape the compound, surely they could fight through the yard! Their appearance would be a surprise!

A wave of Ecliptic mercenaries fled from Naxa as if the machine was an army in and of itself. A wave of Ecliptic mercenaries met with sharpshooters and soldiers waiting for them to rush out from the choke point that was the compound entrance.

Black bled away from Nakoa's eyes with a blink, gaze languidly sweeping over the battlefield. He raised his comm. "Target down. Clean up mercs and back out." All that was left was to reinforce that the Ecliptic mercenaries should be running away.

Aden noticed a shift in the enemy forces, both in the air, and he could see some of it in the ground. They are all in disarray. With enemy numbers now more 'equalized' and still feeling the effects of battle meditation, and now probably hit with the realization that the people signing their checks are now dead. The enemy fighters do not much more fight left in them.

The Apex fighters - who have momentum and bolstered by battle meditation - would continue dealing with the Ecliptic fighters in an effective manner. More bogeys were shot down out of the sky. Aden would right now be tailing the Ecliptic squadron leader. Aden would fire laser cannon shots when his crosshairs were lined up, but being careful just in case the shots miss their mark. But the Ecliptic would evade. Looks like at least one of them can fly decently.

The Ecliptic would then manuever and turn around, but Aden would still be on his tail. Now with a missile lock, Aden would fire and he wouldn't miss. The missile would connect and Aden would light the enemy fighter up with laser cannon shots to send it spiraling to the ground, exploding when it crashes.

Shortly afterwards, Aden would get confirmation from one of his squadmates that all Ecliptic starfighters are down. That was good. Aden would then comm to the Apex Strategist. "The skies are clear. We have total air supremacy." Aden would then turn his fighter around so he can see the situation on the ground.

Elsewhere
Blackwell knew what was going on, they organized it. They have caught wind that the governor and Ecliptic mercs have been killed and nearly wiped out respectively. They organized this whole thing, going by reports, everything is exceeding optimal parameters.

Now that there is no order on the volcanic world, and there being a wide open power vacuum, Blackwell is sending a force under the pretense of restoring order and to protect it's own investments. A single droid cruiser, a part of Blackwell's security fleet, would before too long launch into hyperspace en-route to Aeten II. Apex forces will have plenty of time to finish their work before it arrives to clamp down on the system.

Irirangi's head tilted, ink-black eyes gazing over the battlefield before them. Their ears heard Aden's confirmation of air control. A cruel grin twisted the Wrean's expression beneath their helmet. In no way could Apex be connected to this little act of violent anarchy. That meant collateral damage was expented by contract.

Apex worked as a scalpel. But even a subtle knife could leave deep and bleeding wounds, if only for appearances' sake.

"Naxa. Extract self with extreme prejudice." Which was to say, violently murder and destroy on the way out. This was meant ot be a more amateur job, after all, and Blackwell could easily handle any incident damages. Such was covered by the contract.

"Copy, Bravebird. Allign squadron to two point seven. Burst spread, center run." Apex's strategist was ordering a bombing run of the compound up the center with both missiles and cannons. At this point, it had little tactical value but would make things look more like amateur work, focused on destruction over results.

Irirangi's eyes drained of inky black and a breath was released, slowly and steadily withdrawing from their battle meditation. Sudden retreat from such a state always disrupted the forces it influenced. Next, Nakoa would order a message sent through protected channels to Blackwell's representative.

"Delay arrival by 7 hours. Based on nearby Blackwell assets, this will dispell viable rumors of direct Blackwell involvement."

There was a reason for Apex's high price tags and Blackwell spared no cost for this kind of work.

Nakoa stood from his seated position and stretched, joints crackling and popping. Apex ground forces had forced Ecliptic mercs into full retreat by now. All of then sprinted for safety down the center of the compound.

Between Naxa's ruthless aim and Aden's experienced bombardment, very view would survive. Just enough to spread the word of a truly unfortunate situation that resulted in Blackwell involving themselves to "keep the peace."

As the BX commando droid continued to murderer one Ecliptic Mercenary after another their ammunition began to dwindle. The micro missile gun it weilded had continued to fire relatively silently. The booming impacts of the munitions exploding on contact and the yells of terror were the only sounds that echoed from the mercenary head quarters.

Twenty four rounds meant twenty four kills to the droid. Their bodies littered the interior of the building and directly outside. The R-779 was secured on the machine's back for effecient weight distribution. The BX commando droid did not expect the need to put on its armored disguise on the way out.

With its primary weapon empty despite it having carried in extra munitions the murder machine drew its nightstinger blaster pistol in its left hand. The droid's right arm began to shift and transform. Where once there was a hand there was a blaster emmiter and magnetic accelerator. But if that was not enough, the mounting on N4-X4's shoulder chassis extended some distance away from commando's head and similarly revealed a previously concealed blaster.

+Roger roger+ It responded to the command from the strategist. Most of the soldiers that had bravely stayed to defend against the commando droid were now dead. The rest would more easily flee in fear for their own survival. It began to move to the motor pool calculating the razorfin swoop they arrived on to still be there.

A few moments later it heard the update from Nakoa. +Roger roger+ it repeated, this time picking up the pace unto an almost full tilt run. Bursting from a window beside the front door it spun into the open, landing in a crouched stance and each weapon on its person pointed at a different target. Each of its blasters fired a different caliber of bolt with its own unique sound. The stuccato of varying rates of fire furthermore adding to the seeming chaos firing forth from the calculating killing machine.

The remaining Ecliptic Mercenaries fell back. Those that did not were cut down by blaster bolt or worse if they got too close. It seemed that any who set eyes on the BX commando droid was given to death and the wise ones ran before that happened.

Sure enough, the razorfin swoop was right where they left it. It's left hand holstered its nightstinger pistol and the right blaster arm shifted back to a normal dexterous digit adorned hand. Smoothly mounting the swoop bike amid the chaos, a howl cried out from the bike as N4-X4 gunned its engines. It wasted no time firing the bike's undermounted light laser cannon at any enemy mercenaries as it exfiltrated successfully.

The Blackwell contact sent an affirmative to the Apex strategist through encrypted, protected channel. They will do asked. That is indeed why Blackwell pays top of the line credits for their services.

"Roger that" Aden responded to the wise strategist. With enemy mercenary fighters down and no more anti-air emplacements, the ground below was able to be attacked with impunity. Aden is normally very precise in what he does, he is as much as a weapon as starfighter. But a little ground-pounding and wide spread bombardment is fun every now and then. That's why Aden and his Archers brought high-explosive missiles.

"You heard 'em lads, form up on me" the squadron would then be aligned and would be on the attack run. "Commence the attack run, fire all weapons"

With that, Aden and his squadron would start firing their laser cannons, hitting the volcanic ground until they start hitting the target. Next, dumb-fired high explosive missiles from the squadron were fired. All the firepower that connected would be all spread out and all over the place. Between laser cannon detonations and the power of the high explosive missile, not much was left. Just a mess. A utterly destroyed building, dead mercenaries, destroyed vehicles, the impacts of missiles and laser cannons on the ground.

Bringing his craft around, he would see that there would be some Ecliptic mercs fleeing the area. A small handful. It is fine. They are fortunate. He can see the speeder bike with what appears to be mechanical figure on it. That's more than likely that infiltrator.

The skies are now quiet, fighting has stopped. "Looks like it's mission accomplished" he said on the comms. If there was nothing else, Adne was ready to return to the Galactica and call it a day.
