Hutts will not enter another large battle for a bit, as we have something else planned.
And that something else planned is little under the radar terrorist attacks against the Republic.

I'm waiting on Ols to start one...

An under the radar terrorist attack sounds all nice and dandy, but what does it do to get people engaged and keep the plot moving along? Very little. When everyone was sitting on their hands last timeline saying "I'm waiting for ____ to start a battle," I had Kurt launch an under the radar terrorist attack against the Republic. The Republic did nothing, and the Alsakans also did nothing to follow up on it.

And Ols has nothing to do with it. He's not a faction leader.

Ols isn't the Republic leader, Muffins.

Ols is going to commit an act of terrorism against the Republic for The Hutts.

Just to clarrify.

That still doesn't change the fact that it's completely and utterly useless.

Not really. We're not going to jump right back into a battle after what happened at Corellia.

Hutts are going to do acts of terrorism against the Republic. After several of those, we're going to attack.

Those were the plans Matt, Tom and me planned. Republic wants to attack us first though? Then let them. We'll meet them in battle.

Kupo and mrun, do that.

We're not going to let this RP get stalled because of "several" terrorist attacks for awhile.

The story is not going to get stalled. These terrorist attacks you think so little of are the misisons you wanted me to think up for the Hutts. To name a few, Releasing chemical warfare on Republic worlds and abducting a Republic senator(Actual member, not a NPC) and sending him back to his people with a bomb or contagious virus in him sound pretty serious if you ask me.

Conventional warfare needs to play a greater role in this RP. There's way too many covert stuff going on.

And yet it does nothing to keep the majority of the Republic military and Hutt military involved, which battles do. Serious =/= effective in keeping as many people as possible active in the main story, which is what people want. Battles cannot be pushed aside in favor of missions. Missions always need to happen, and battles need to happen often. The Corellia battle was no where near enough to satisfy people's desire to participate in a battle.

The only way these missions of yours could be effective in satisfying people is if your forces had to fight to carry out these terrorist attacks, as in the Republic is able to defend against it and it becomes a struggle. That would keep numerous people involved, but a few posts that basically equate to "I run into a building, plant a bomb, and watch it go BOOM" are not going to do that. They never, ever have.

Me and Storm have a plan in motion, the terrorist attacks will take place to be replaced by a large scale assault on the Republic.

By this time in September the first actions of the war should be taking shape.

If there not then pull me up on this comment but that;s the deal I've set and the plan of action.

As long as Mulluns is cool with that timeline.

I'm holding you to that, because by this time in September two months will have gone by without a battle. Even the last timeline, as un-Godly slow as it was, had a battle immediately.

There was a small battle...

Anyway, things are happening but it's a proxy war ATM before the big shit hits.

We did have a plan for attack but we will move it along a bit more, might start when September does depending on how Storm gets on and how Mulluns feels.

'Small' is the operative word there, considering barely anyone was involved and it did next to nothing in regards to the plot.

We're discussing the plans now, or about too in the Hutt fourms.

Though I'd like to hear what the Republic has planned. It might be me, but I have not seen or heard much from either Unoriginal or Kupo's Republic leaders since Corellia.

Me and mrun have been planning our retaliation for quite some time, truth be told. But what with holidays, results and sorting out all of our stuff for University, I'll admit that we've been a little pre-occupied.

That being said, we do intend to start a battle very soon. Think hours/days, depending on when I can get a reply off of mrun.

That do ya?

Ok, minor update; thanks to Mrun's timely disappearance, I'm loathe to rush into anything and pull a cailst. So, I'm currently waiting on S13 to do their job and find me something comparatively squishy to hurt.

EDIT: Good news everybody! There are now motions being made to start a number of battles and offensives. This all being said though, when it comes to starting battles (or taking part in them) I'm not exactly well equipped.

There are only two people in my faction who have characters that can legitimately run battles, and one of them is away... So you'll forgive my reluctance to charge full on into massive battles when I would have to do most of the running of them myself.
