Alright. As of this post most of Alsakan Navy is engaged with the Republic Navy in four different threaters of operations. Ruan, Metellos, Bessimir, and Coruscant. It is very likely that Republic will use it's larger navy to also strike directly at Alsakan. Even though the battles themselves are still young. The deciding battles will be at Coruscant and Metellos as that is where 75% of our navy is located. Should we lose at those locations with heavy casualties the Alsakan Union will most likely be crippled. I have no doubt the Republic will only increase the number of ships at Coruscant should the battle sour for them.

This massive offensive against worthless worlds has stretched our navy to thin and allowed the Republic to launch a focused counter attack without having to mount much of a defense to our offense. If any of you have wondered why I whated you to burn the worlds you were attacking instead of invading it is because we cannot stretch our fleet more by guarding worlds that we gain nothing from by taking.

The following are orders in the event of defeat:

In the event Coruscant falls. All fleets to break off everything and anything they are is doing and pull back to Alsakan.

Should Alsakan fall. All fleets are to break off and regroup in deep space. We will then launch a series of running battles against high value Republic worlds. Fonder, Kuat, Brentaal IV, Alderaan. CDR-382 will lead an armed uprising on Alsakan in an attempt to repel any Republic presence on the world. The Alsakan Navy will assist only if Republic naval forces are involved

Questions? Concerns? Thoughts? Ideas? Suggestions?

I really hate space battles... Brings horrible memories to me mind...

Coruscant and Metellos are the most populated worlds, like you said, and one is already in out control. I don't know about Ruan and Bessimir, but if they got nothing there or just a few colonies or whatever, then they don't seem worth while taking, but that's just me. Regardless, I would say if things go well on Metellos and we get rid of the Republic forces there, then half of that fleet should go to either Coruscant or Alsakan to reinforce it.

I know of your distaste for space combat. That is why I tasked you with leading an armed revolt on the ground or rather the floating stations of Alsakan.

As for moving the our forces from Coruscant to Metellos or vice visa. My main concern is the Republic will simply bring in more ships to attack the weakened forces we leave behind. They have the ships to spare, we do not.

If you prefer Mulluns instead of leading a revolt. Would you like leading a black-ops mission to steal warships from the Republic?

Hmmmm.... Stealing there warships could prove useful. Though it's not like one squad would be able to capture half a dozen with no sweat. The revolt might be easier for me and whoever I'm leading. Not saying I don't want a challenge.

Given that OOC time has translated into RP time in the months before I arrived, would it be possible to convince the others that the battle of Metellos started about 2 weeks before the Coruscant one? That would then mean that we would be able to move the majority of the fleet to Coruscant once the battle of Metellos was done and it would be a week or two before the Coruscant battle which would enable refitting of the Metellos fleet and the use of any captured vessels.

Also, do you think we could get anything like those orbital platforms for Coruscant like they had for a far less important world relative to the rest of their land?

I find that unlikely as the Republic offensive against Coruscant is a counterthrust to our own offensive. The battles are happening at the same time RP-wise.

As for Orbital Stations I'am sure we have some around Alsakan, but I'm not sure about Coruscant as we only recently took that.

Do you think it might be possible that there were some ones that were inactive at the time of the invasion that we could rework to our purposes. Perhaps they had some storage facilities or something like that.

I doubt it. Orbital Defense Platforms are not something you can put in a warehouse. Besides to add them after the battle has started would be a bit cheap.

That's good. I'd prefer to shift our strategy away from large scale space and ground battles to more hit-n-run, black ops operations to cripple the Republic war machine.

In that case, do you think I should try to make peace with the Republic in order to reduce the chance of big battles in the future and then use any proxy groups that we might have to wage war against the Republic?

I didn't say I would surrender, it's just that war might not always be a good idea

Why wouldn't you approve of taking a break if it gets too bad? And who else would be for constant war?
