Battle of Yavin: Bringing Down the Shields

Mandalorian ships dropped out of hyperspace onto the world of Yavin, and with it they brought death and destruction. The War Councilor Narir Solus had identified key positions throughout the temple that would be the first targets in the seizing of another Imperial world.

In the skies above, warriors mounted atop basilisks waited in their carriers for the signal to drop. The shield was the only thing stopping Mandalorian forces from claiming the world with sheer force. Even now, the first of the droid-riding warriors were descending below, striking the ground outside the shield in preparation.

Trixie would have her work cut out for her to bring down the shields and open the door for the rest of the assault. Narir watched the display on his ship as he awaited the signal for the main force to drop. Sometimes all it took was a single duel to change the course of a battle. @Sreeya vs. @Arclight

The sky burned fire as Basilisks rained down on the perimeter of the shield generator compound. Jarek had faced such a foe once before on Corellia, had watched as the Basalisk's deadly pulse cannon had simply wiped a troop of his soldiers from the face of the galaxy.

Fear surged through him. But that fear would be his strength as he awaited his enemies high atop the perimeter wall. His doublebladed lightsaber gripped loosely, inactive but ready to snap to life. His eyes scanned the skies and the perimeter as he opened himself to the darkside.
