"They're coming across the plaza!"

"Brace yourselves!"
"Weapons ready!"

"They've breached the building!"
The frantic cries could be heard across the Coruscant Capital Building, from the lobby below, to executive offices, to the Rotunda itself. Within the domed building sat hundreds, if not thousands, of beings ready to stand at Coruscant's defense. The call had been sent out, frantic and in the heat of battle, "Coruscant is under attack from the Sith! Need immediate help!" Both surprised and caught off guard by the ferocity and quick attack by the Sith the Republic was ill prepared to defend its crown jewel. GAR, Jedi, and any others who had heard the desperate call now found themselves crammed inside the majestic building, as well as in other places across the planet, desperately trying to hold their line - to defend Coruscant no matter the cost. Sitting at the very heart of the core, Coruscant was vital to the ailing Republic. Home to trillions, and the seat of economic power, if Coruscant fell it would seal the grim fate of the Republic's future in blood.

Meanwhile, as well intentioned defenders crowded the opulent buildings preparing for the oncoming attack, hordes of Sith, and SBZ packed into troop transports, fighters, and any other craft that they could find. Narrowly breaching the Republic fleet, these troopers were the best that the brotherhood had to throw at Coruscant. Each individual aboard knew the dangers, they knew the price, and they were willing to pay it. Each had their own cause to fight for, and each was willing to lay down their lives for it. The Sith & SBZ had suffered at the hands of the Jedi too long, suffering genocide like the galaxy had never seen, and the Republic had enabled them. Having landed now, in front of the Capital, and now the legions of evil were pouring across the plaza that lay beautifully in front of the Senate Building, some having already breached the doors. Blood would be spilled on these grounds, as two opposing forces warred for the fate of Coruscant, and the Galaxy.

"That one! Fire!"

With an all too satisfying hiss, the rocket erupted from the launcher. Besides Skahl, the soldier who had fired remained knelt on one knee, both following with their eyes the thin trail of quickly depleting smoke as it soared towards its intended target. The Lieutenant's arm remained raised, still pointing towards the descending dropship, mimicking the rocket's flight. It was one transport among far too many, but at a glance had been flying on the straightest path towards the Capital Building. Only in the last moment did the pilot attempt a sudden banking maneuver and far too late at that, the vessel erupting in a violent explosion that tore through and engulfed the transport in moments. With all control lost, it barreled straight towards the ground, wreathed utterly in flames.

Skahl might have even admired the sight, had so many not already landed and began to deploy the Sithspawn and their ilk. "Reload! Now!" Every dropship that they took down denied them valuable reinforcements. The capitol building - indeed, the Core Worlds as a whole - were so pathetically unprepared for such an attack that the Lieutenant had already resigned the battle as a delaying action. Every minute that they held some semblance of a resistance against the would-be conquerers was another for the true military strength of the Republic to get their arses into gear, organise and bring about a counter-attack.

Despite the complete and total surprise that the attack had been, some resemblance of resistance had quickly been scraped together and reacted according. The capital building at least maintained a well-manned, if untested, security force and since the outbreak of war, GAR personnel were not an especially uncommon sight in the area, nor the building itself. Few of them had come prepared - or rather, equipped - for combat, however. It was all that they could do to hastily raid the security armoury in the minutes after the first explosions, and scavenge what gear they could from the first friendly dropships that had responded.

The sheer size of the structure at least afforded its defenders numerous firing positions. "I need a mag here!" On several floors, the defenders dug in around the windows and balconies overlooking the plaza. "Keep fire on 'em!" The invaders had already breached the main entrance, but surprise and speed had afforded them that inevitably. "Helmsley, launcher at two o' clock!" They lacked the sheer numbers, momentum and firepower to seal the breach now, but they could at least attempt to stem the flow of Sithspawn that would seek to flood through the building. "I got 'im, I got 'im..." An unceasing tide of blaster fire shrieked through the air like a storm of neon, punctuated by the occasional explosion or the groan of a descending, doomed aircraft.

The only words that the Lieutenant could properly hear were those being sent through his ill-fitting headset, but then, such was the norm on a battlefield. "Backu-" Skahl pressed his back against the wall, raising his free hand to his headset to push it further against his ear. "Entra-" A short and frustrated growl escaping from between his lips whilst he twisted his head to watch the chaos unfold in the plaza below. "Being overrun-" Uttering a barely-heard string of profanities under his breath, he rose the blaster rifle up to clasp the grip with his left hand. Once again, he rose his voice above the crescendo of battle. "You four, you're with me. We're reinforcing the front."

Track 1.

Ray sat asleep behind the leg of his shut-down AT-PT walker amidst the 33rd Engineer's QRF motor pool. An unlit cigarette barely clung onto the corner of his lips, dangling aimlessly as he heavily slept behind the walker's leg. An oil-stained white tank-top covered his chest, a pair of goggles hanging from his neck. The QRF bay was as still as ever within the heart of Coruscant. Republic Troopers sat ontop of ammo crates playing Sabaac and cards, smoking cigarettes and talking as much shit as they could as the Coruscanti skies blazed with traffic overhead. Ray rolled over slightly, dropping his cigarette from his lips. He groaned slightly, raising a hand to rub his prickly, unshaven face. His hazel eyes lazily opened, looking over to his cigarette. He slowly leaned forward, reaching a hand towards it-

To then find a boot step onto his cigarette.

He rose an annoyed brow, looking up to his Squad Leader - G. SGT Mowell. The man's bald head glistened slightly off the Coruscanti sky, his vetted gaze bearing down onto the napping Engineer. <"This what you joined to do in the Corps, boy? Smoke cigs, beat off and get paid?"> Ray stretched his arms out by his side,
"Well, it's that or drink, beat off and get paid. So, yeah." Mowell's face twisted, <"You Engineers make me bloody sick. You do nothing, you sit in here all day in some shit bay, and you get paid the same as the boys in the line. Back in my day, you sons a bitches'd-">

This shit again.

Ray's ears tuned out slightly as another verbal asschewing found its way to him. Ray looked away, glancing towards the Coruscant sky. He looked back at his Squ-

"Wait, what in the god damn-"

His heartbeat quickened, turning his gaze back towards the sky...And seeing a Sith Fleet. He froze, feeling his blood thin slightly. Mowell took a step forward, staring up at the sky.

<"Ho. ly. Shit.">
Ray continued to stare up at the sky, taking a glance over to his right and seeing the boys playing cards doing the same. Everyone seemed dumbfounded, momentarily in shock. Suddenly, a colossal green bolt rained from the sky, piercing through a nearby skyscraper and detonating along the side of a road. The explosion shook the entire motor pool, stirring the hornet's nest. Mowell's lungs screamed,

<"WE'RE LIVE BOYS, 33RD MOUNT UP, LET'S GO RAPTORS!">

Track 2.

Sirens and pandemonium broke out in the small motor pool, the nearby Senate building in clear view. Ray swore, pulling a shaking cigarette from his droid and tucking it into his mouth as he ran to the front of his AT-PT Light Walker, quickly scaling the yellow ladder towards the cockpit. He pulled his goggles up to his face, taking a heavy drag of his cigarette as he climbed inside the cockpit.

ovBHxnt.png

He rapidly activated the walker's power, fastening his seat-belt as he pulled down the pilot hatch.
Left servos, check, right servos, check. He glanced forward, leaning and toggling the safety switch for the front turbolasers. Weapons, on. He reached behind his seat, pulling a headseat and throwing it onto his head. Chatter erupted through the 33rd's comms, as voices and orders erupted from every radio frequency aboard the planet. Sith're everywhere. With a hefty step, the AT-PT took its first steps onto the streets of Coruscant, Mowell's voice ringing in Ray's headset.

<"Alright boys, listen up! We're the closest mounted unit to the Senate building, it's our job to keep that shit locked down! Let's-">

An explosion erupted upfront, as Mowell's Walker was suddenly struck by an incoming rocket, toppling it to the side.

3160284-gameplay_swtorknightsoftheeternalthrone_walker_20161121site.jpg

Ray's Walker froze in the center of the street before the motor pool entrance, gazing towards the fallen Walker. From the left emerged a Platoon of Sith troopers, emerging from a drop-ship in the center of the Coruscanti street. Ray's finger-less gloves wrapped around his walker's control sticks,
"Oooh, y'all gonna get it. Y'all done did it. Y'all done-" his Walker's head turned towards the street, aiming at the Sith platoon as they rapidly took cover along some nearby catwalks. Ray's thumbs pressed down on the pilot sticks, his Walker's forward cannons coming to life. Bright beams of scarlet shot through the air, colliding with a small cluster of Soldiers and blasting them to pieces.

He reared his Walker's sticks backwards, tilting the tank's gaze upward as an alert popped along his HUD. Incoming! A Sith cruiser was enroute towards the Senate building, jetting through the sky. He reached above his head, pulling his targeting computer down from overhead. Lights flashed as the computer's lines aligned with the incoming cruiser, displaying it amidst the center of the screen.

ea8617fd597a769b4b0464fcbffb2672.png

His eyes narrowed from behind his goggles, "G'night."

The top of his Walker's head turned, opening and revealing a Missile Battery - promptly firing a small barrage of 4 through the sky towards the Cruiser. They swirled through the sky, blazing in helix-like swirls, until impacting the Sith cruiser and blowing it out of the sky.

Ray's walker turned back towards the Platoon of Sith troops, seeing the ground forces from the 33rd's Motor Pool arrive on site. Infantrymen poured through the streets, lighting it ablaze in light-blue blaster fire. Ray's ears rang as a voice spoke through his headset,

<"You that Walker Pilot? Get your ass to the Senate building, they're getting overrun!">
"Roger, Raptor 3 enroute."

The Walker turned, beginning its March towards the Senate building. He took a deep breath, hearing the Sounds of battle raging outside. His heart was pounding, his hands sweating as he continued down the Coruscanti streets. Civilians ran for cover as his War Machine walked past. He reached to his left, toggling the Walker's speakers and tightly shutting his eyes. Hell, what was the protocol for this kind of crap. His eyes opened, memory returning to him,

"Attention Republic Civillians - report to your nearest Starport immediately! Evacuation shuttles are being prepared, grab your families and get the hell out of dodge!"

He frowned, turning off the speaker, Probably could've said that a bit better, but, screw it.

Finally the Senate began to come into view. He took a deep drag of his cigarette, exhaling a tuft of smoke within the cockpit. "Here goes."

The Walker's heavy durasteel feet rose, smashing a totaled speeder as it ascended the steps towards the Senate building's main entrance.

Ray swore, seeing Sith troops fortified near the Senate doors. The walker turned its heavy head and opened fire, blasting an advancing Squad of Sithspawn to cinder as it continued its march towards the building. Ray shouted into his comms,
"Any station this net, any station this net, this is Walker Raptor 3 of the 33rd Engineers, reporting from the front of the Senate capital building - reinforcements're here!"

He took a heavy puff from his cigarette, feeling his blood boil. The Walker rattled and shook as blasterfire bounced its heavy-armored sides, as fire erupted from inside the Senate building. The walker turned its head towards the entrance, blasting away to attempt and clear the entrance for Republic forces to push to the doors. A missile erupted from the far rear of the Sith line, striking the back of the walker's head. It lurched forward, causing Ray to flail forward in his seat. He continued to blast towards the entrance, his back exposed to the landing dropships as more Sith forces ballooned towards the Walker and Senate doors. He shouted into his headset, "We got any friendlies inside?! They're cut off - push, god damn it!"

The young Jedi initiate stood at attention, ready for any orders she may have been given. It seemed like not long ago she stood on the surface of the city filled planet, walking up and down the busy streets. She always kept her guard up on the planet of potential scoundrels and unsavory individuals, but this time it was different. She was in the middle of a war, with tensions peaking her anxiety level. Despite the growing feeling of fear, she had to swallow it down and balance herself with the force as best she could. She had a responsibility to remain composed, and quick on her feet.

She wore her common Jedi robes, boots, and her hair was falling down her shoulders in messy waves and tangles. She was tired, because she had not slept much the previous night. They had been notified of the invasion when she was sleeping. Since then she had been stuck in some sort of a haze. She moved quickly, getting dressed, tying her boots on, and reporting to the Capital Senate Building on one of the wealthy upper levels of Coruscant. All she had to ease her excitement, was the company of her light saber on her side. Despite the ashen expression that tiredness had left on her face, her eyes were still sharp and focused. It was times like these her demeanor changed to fully focus on the objective at hand. The girl asked no questions, and she did not fool around as she typically would if she were in a lighthearted situation. She merely did as she was told, and stepped up whenever the opportunity arose.

Something overhead shook the building, and she lost her footing. Stepping back down, hard, she caught herself. There were explosions overhead, and all around them as a new feature of industrial city seemed to collapse with every ringing spray of bullets. Lanna could hear the chaos ensuing outside the Capital building, as she stood there for a moment, turning around to gape at the soldiers and her allies, running from one point to the other. She had her hand on her light saber, ready to pull it out if ever necessary.

The Sith Brotherhood had reached the grounds of Coruscant.

Taking a much needed breath of air to center herself, she made her way passed a crowd of people all set in a state of speediness and frantic determination to beat back the wave of enemies. Having to sidestep once or twice, almost getting hit in the face by a gun someone happened to be carrying over his shoulder, she finally made it to one of the upper levels of the building. Looking out the lining windows, she gaped at the cascading city. Smoke rose from some distant towering buildings, and people scattered in fear and chaos. Speeders had been abandoned, and here were her own allied soldiers on the grounds, looking to be having a difficult time against the density of the Sith army.

Her attention broke off to an AT-PT walker machine, that was making it's way quite destructively to the capital. How perfect for such a battle.

An emergency broadcast tore through the uproar of battle engulfing the planet,

"Citizens of Coruscant. This is Rosh Stratakar, of the Grand Army of the Republic... For long we have forgotten the distant threat of the Sith. Monsters lingering on the edge of the galaxy, memories of a darker day. Today they have returned to take Coruscant, the jewel of our beautiful Republic. For all civilians we will be issuing a full evacuation alert, to the soldiers of the Grand Army who valiantly fight to defend, I salute you, and rally you to destroy those that would dare try and take our home.

For there to be peace, we must fight. I see that now. We should not be victims for choosing peace! We should not be bystanders, forced to watch our city crumble idly because we have chosen the path of freedom and democracy! We are the Republic! We are not defeated at the loss of an establishment or a fight, for hope is an ideal that cannot be bombarded. Hope is what makes this Republic strong, and it is something that they will never be able to feel. It is what drives mere men and women to become heroes, and fight for something beyond the spoils of war -- for an end!

Fight! Fight and show them that the path to peace has not made us weak. We will tear them from the sky and welcome them on the ground with blaster in-hand, because while they foolishly fight for nothing -- we are fighting for everything. I go now to the Capital, to extend a proper welcome to these intruders. Long live the Republic!"

"Fight! Fight and show them that the path to peace has not-"

"The hell do you think we're trying to do you geriatric shit?!" He snapped from within the cockpit, his mic hot and accidentally broadcasting over the radio. The Republic Lance Walker's durasteel plates were brimming from the consistent barrage of blasterfire it was taking from the landing side, feeling the Sith barrage from the building weaken slightly. He rose a hand to his goggles, adjusting them slightly to his face turning the walker towards the Sith landing zone. His eyes narrowed, seeing more dropships arrive from the sky. His walker's cannons rotated upward-

qoZOgP1.png

To then catch a missile onto the left turbolaser, jerking the walker's head to the right. Ray's body flailed to the side within the cockpit, a painful reminder that he was the only mounted armor in the area. The Walker's left turbolaser made a hasty exit, the cannon barrel flying through the sky and leaving only flames. An alert emerged from within the walker's cockpit, glowing a bright orange from the left side.
"Fire, fire, I know, I know!" He rose a hand overhead, pulling a hefty red lever and activating the War Machine's Fire Suppression Systems. A tuft of white smoke shot from every side of the walker's head, snuffing the flames that had arose from the left side of the walker's head. Ray's left hand pressed the switch along the left pilot stick - getting no response. Left cannon's down, piss. He leaned forward, rerouting controls from the left turbolaser to the center auxiliary gatling repeater.

He narrowed his eyes, looking out towards the landing ships across the large plaza as a fresh wave of Sith reinforcements arrived. The Senate Building's colossal plaza now served as a Sith staging area, a large now-fortified stretch of flattened concrete reinforced by dropships and Sith ground troops.

image-untitled2.png

The Silver, pristine statues lining the Senate building plaza now stood like foreboding invaders, staring across the courtyard back at the defending forces. Ray spoke into his radio, toggling the Speaker system active to broadcast to any who could hear. "To all Republic Forces, this is Lance Walker Raptor 3 - we ain't goin' nowhere 'till we clear this forward plaza, they're just pouring in from the-" his Walker shook, taking a hefty light repeater barrage from an approaching dropship. The Walker turned upward, firing its remaining right cannon and sending the dropship careening out of the sky. "-And stay down! They're pouring in from the Sky - we gotta clear this area and set up some anti-air or they just ain't gonna stop!"

He turned his gaze outward towards the Plaza, narrowing his eyes and spotting 3 large dropships parked onto the furthermost-end of the plaza. Soldiers rapidly moved to and from, fortifying the position with sandbags. A red flare shot upward to the sky - alerting other Sith forces of the Senate landing zone. The Walker turned its head to the left, as Ray narrowed his eyes and saw something he'd certainly hoped would remain in the holovids. A pyramid-shaped drop-pod had struck the center of the plaza.

Ray reached overhead, rapidly adjusting his targeting computer, "Shit, shit, shit-" he fired, striking the metal pyramid with a hefty explosion. Dust erupted from the center plaza, and from out the smoke came a Platoon of Red Saber-wielding Sith, dashing forward towards the Walker and Senate building.

It was here. It was finally here. After countless hours planning and preparing, the Sith had finally come to retake Coruscant, and Ka-Ragt had the honor of fighting in the battle. Even more so, he would have the honor (and fame) of taking the Senate building. Such an accomplishment would surely get him recognition, and with that, power.

Ka-Ragt stood in one of the numerous drop ships that were assaulting the capitol. Inside, it was silent. No man or woman spoke. It wasn't because of their fear, but rather, their anticipation. Even a blind man could see that today's battle would change everything. No longer would the Sith be forced to scavenge in the Outer Rim. After today, Coruscant would be theirs. The rest of the Republic was bound to crumble soon after.

The Zabrak could hear the explosions going off outside the Dropship, a few of which were so close that the ship itself shook. It brought a sick smile to his face. His cocky arrogance assured him that the Republic's defenses would do little to halt the oncoming horde of Sith forces. It would just be a matter of time before The Jedi and Republic ran for their lives, in which case Ka-Ragt would cut the cowards down, like swine in a butchers house.

<~><~><~><~>

The crash of the ship, and the sudden loss of momentum let Ka-Ragt know that they had finally arrived. He heard another explosion as the dropship doors opened to the smoke and dust. Ka-Ragt could hardly see a thing, yet he charged forwards with his comrades, heading straight into the torrent of blaster fire cascading down from the senate building.

With his saber staff ignited and in hand, and his mace still attacked to his belt, Ka-Ragt ran as fast as he could, ducking this way, then leaping another to avoid the storm of projectiles. As the smoke and ash cleared, Ka-Ragt saw the senate building, and its 'valiant protectors.'

The Ship shutter and shook as it entered the Planet, a violent smash followed by shakings of a explosion alerted him that they have arrived. Everyone's Sabers ignited as the door dropped down, exposing them to the dust and war-torn city. Luca walked forward, his foot steps were light and quiet unlike those charging beside him, both of his Crimson blades illuminating himself as the dust erupted around him, His Brothers and Sisters rushed past him with a vengeance, a deep lust to remove the Republic Filth from the Planet, he took a deep, breath before charging forward with his brothers and he wouldn't be far behind. Adopting a Zig-Zag style charge, bounding from one foot to the next towards the Walker and Senate building.

His Advance was met by the sudden volley of Blaster Fire from the defensive garrison of the Republic, his blades swooped through the air like nothing, weightless as they preformed their duty of protecting the Sith. The bolts bounced off the Blades and reflected into opposite directions. His eyes locked onto the Walker, a devilish smile striking across his face beneath the helmet of his.

Inside the darkened dropship, twenty one hooded priests hung their heads. Their bodies swayed and whispers broke into the air. The whispers seemed to mingle together in a void, forming a cacaphony of madness and intensity that roiled through the cramped quarters like a storm. One of them, Cain, their lord and master, Father of the Priesthood of Tund and master of the very world they are named after, was drawing up his own power. Zeal, Love, Devotion, Passion, the words and emotions were as one within his mind. He would utter one and it would surface, he could feel the power within it, an inferno within his chest just waiting to be released.

Around them, the airship was bucking and shuddering from the anti-aircraft fire that crackled around it. Several other dropships bearing the markings of the priesthood had formed up alongside. On each of them, twenty more Sith Priests waited to be unleashed upon the unsuspecting republic capital world. Cain looked to each of the men and women in his own ship. They needed no encouragement, their Zeal was powerful as it was. He did not dare allow them to lose focus in an overflow. The ship shuddered once, and he saw a light come on above him. They were landing. His priests did not seem to notice until the instant they touched the ground.

"We are Legion." Cain rasped from behind the off-gray shimmersilk cowl that covered the wrongness that was the upper half of his face. He opened his mouth to say more, but then he felt something in the force. A presence he knew. He turned to the door and smiled wide, all fear burning from his system. Only the lust to make his Dark Lady proud boiled beneath his skin.

"We are yours, Mighty Steward." One priest murmured.

"Steward of the Dark Side, Lead us." Another hissed.

"Let the blood of the Jedi sanctify this world." A third crooned.

They began to stamp their feet, rhytmic, methodical, hypnotic. Cain beamed at them, and then turned to face the door. It began to open just as the boarding ramp began to descend. He could feel it even more clearly now, he knew that presence all too well. He had felt him on Ossus, he had taunted him, he had offered peace to him, he had born his soul to him, and he had been rewarded with the very inspiration that had driven him to Tund. Cain owed the man so much... the least he could do is say hello.

Blasterfire roared overhead as one hundred Sith Priests and Cain strode out from their dropships. Cain raised his hands to the sky and released a small pulse of dark side power, enough to say hello to any force sensitive in the area. The soldiers at the rear watched in awe as one hundred lightsabers, pikes, curved blades and wicked knives were brandished. Cain gestured with his right hand-and the host charged.

"Now... where are you Not-Venator?" Cain said absently to himself as he walked toward the chaos.

"Sith're on-site, I repeat, Sith on-site! They brought a whole god damn Company!"

The Colossal Lance Walker took two heavy steps backwards, backing towards the Senate Entrance. Ray glanced overhead, So much for taking the plaza, damn it. He took a heavy drag of his cigarette, adjusting the grimy goggles onto his face within the lit-up walker cockpit. His eyes narrowed slightly, ensuring a clear eject trajectory and priming the Walker's self destruct sequence. He bit his lip, staring forward as a mounted giant before a small company of red lightsabers, pikes, and edgy Space Wizards. A chill ran down his spine, I'm not actually doing this, am I? He glanced down at the self-destruct panel, taking another drag from his cigarette. He looked down at the large red button, then back towards the approaching Sith company. He narrowed his eyes, noting a purple lightsaber atop one of the departing dropships. We got some Jedi here, eh?

He glanced over at the right of his cockpit, seeing a picture of a woman in red. He smiled to himself, "Never did fancy myself a smart man. Here's to you, babydoll."

4VjSavf.png

His hand veered off the self-destruct switch, rapidly grabbing the picture and tucking it into his black cargo pants' pocket. "Alright, you bastards! You want some? Come and get it!" The Lance Heavy Walker stood its ground before the Senate doorway, its operational right turbolaser brimming a bright red accompanied by the auxiliary repeater cannon in the center of the of the Walker chassis. The right turbolaser beamed a heavy shot, blasting into the mob of approaching pikemen and Infantry, sending their charred corpses flying across the Senate plaza. The repeater gatling in the center of the chassis opened fire, tearing through Infantry with heavy bolts as Ray screamed within the cockpit, never letting go of the trigger.

His eyes watched as the Walker continued to blast through the ranks of his Sith Brothers a scowl formed in place of his smile, his assault did not stop as he continued to charge. The Walker was a problem for the advancing forces and needed to be put down, rushing into a large bit of Cover his backed pressed against the wall. Breathing was steady, though the air filled with the wounds of battle, screams of the wounded and dying, both sabers deactivated with a quiet noise hands rising upwards towards a large piece of debris. The Young Sith had no Anti-Tank weaponry, so he planned to make some. Eyes closed tightly, his hands gripping around the metal hilts in a tight fist as he extended his invisible grip outwards towards the concrete about the size of a small speeder lifting it from the ground. Rising with it, his back turned towards advancing Sea of Crimson as his shoulders shot back and then forward again heaving the chunk of concrete towards the Walker whom valiantly defended the Senate building.

After tossing the rock, Luca took a moment to regain his breath before standing back to his full height. Dropping the cloak around his neck to give him a bit more breathing room as he rejoins his Brothers in the charge.

She sensed it before she saw any of it. Standing alone, just having finished training she felt a sudden unease. Then a cascade of blurry images protruded into her calm mind and quickly flooded her thoughts. Immediately she closed her eyes but it was too much, too abrupt. Her hand darted to her temple as the images physically pained her, a shrill tone alongside the carnage of slaughter and destruction. Then the screams filled her head, the screams of innocents, of civilians, of all those who worked and sought a peaceful life for themselves. Their lives torn apart and thrown into shatters. She saw children dying, mothers and fathers butchered, a myriad of others being crushed from rumble, ripped a part by the shattered glass from the buildings that reached into the sky and stood as the crowning achievement of Coruscant. Tears fell down her face as the suffering of millions came over her, it was too much to bear.
Falling to her knees, her she steadied herself with her free hand against the wooden floor, and then she willed herself to push out the images. And finally they faded away into oblivion, and she was once again alone.
Her breath was harsh, as her chest heaved, feeling exerted from just that encounter alone. Her hand trembled and she struggled to collect herself. Never in her life had such pain been shown to her, it was hideous and it was here.
The ground shuddered vigorously and signaled the beginning. Ikora clenched her fist and stood, feeling an oddly wicked emotion roused in her. It quickened her heart, and made her breath heavy, as if each breath sought to relieve anger and yet only contributed to it more. Her muscles tightened and shuddered in anticipation. Her whole body felt strong, but it also felt vulnerable and her entire existence felt palpably uncertain. The thought that perhaps this was her purpose, this moment in time was what her mother had seen, where she would be trialed and where the darkness would overwhelm everything, maybe even Ikora herself.
Ikora looked into the mirror before her, she wore simple pants and a tight singlet, the only thing recognising her as a Jedi, the lightsaber hooked upon her belt. She looked into her own eyes and saw something she did not wish to see, it was loud and outspoken, it was anger.

Ikora came outside to meet with the makeshift garrison that had formed, a ragtag group of troopers and Jedi alike, even some civilians seemed to be dutiful in protecting their own. But the sight was what stood out most, buildings burned in the background, rubble filled the streets alongside with masses of bodies, which only piled up more with each passing minute. The screams of blaster fire blared all around them, explosions continually shook the ground now and the screams of the stricken or dying pierced the air. Shouts and orders flew about. It was chaos, and it was the surmise of an attack against one completely unaware. And Ikora could see that the Sith had already won, however as breath still filled her body and those of her companions, they would fight and buy as much time as they could for civilians to leave, and to also fight for their home and make the Sith pay dearly for their gall.

Ikora focused her attention on a lone Walker standing as a pillar of bravery beneath the Senate archway, gallantly firing an endless barrage of fire upon the encroaching Sith. She watched him as she came to stand beside him, lightsaber snapping to life in a blue frenzy, deflecting several plasma fire that came her way. She felt the grip of the force and darted her eyes to find a Sith grab hold of a slab of concrete and hurl it towards the Walker. The instant she saw the sith grab hold of the concrete, Ikora jumped behind the Walker for cover and focused on the force in her palms, building it up tremendously. Then as the concrete mass flew through the air, she unleashed a concussing blast of force energy, smashing the concrete slab into nothing, leaving only mere stones to sprinkle against the metal body of the walker. Igniting her saber once more she came abreast the Walker, cutting down a brazen Sith charging the archway.
Another came soon after and swung his lightsaber like a greatsword, Ikora met it with an equal strength and they battled for supremacy. Quickly she turned off her lightsaber and spun around to duck underneath the now wild swing, jabbing out she activated her saber and stabbed the Sith through the gut. Standing, she looked down upon her enemy as he slumped down, slamming her boot against his face she sent him sprawling down the senate steps.

The Capitol Building's main lobby was a grand, impressive sight. As much designed to indulge the opulence and influence of the senators that presided over their beloved Republic as it was to house the thousands of dignitaries, petitioners and staff that the building would permit daily. What it didn't serve well as was a defensive position. There had been no time to prepare barricades, to establish a perimeter of chokepoints, to do little more than hastily overturn, drag and push furniture - desks, benches, crates and whatever else - to act as imperfect cover. It was better than nothing, but not by much. Security officers and GAR personnel huddled against the mass of ramshackle defences, some further towards the doors than others. Desperate, frantic blaster-fire violated and scarred flesh and structure alike.

Corpses lined the floor, thin wisps of smoke raising from blaster burns, few of them bearing the signs of resistance. Their civilian garb marked them as such. The desperate, fearful cries and the agony-wracked moans of those who yet lived were drowned out by the tide of blaster fire, of thermal detonators slung and exploding around obliterated marble. They threw themselves from side to side, clutching mutilated, burn-wracked or stumped limbs. Most wallowed in their pain, some attempted to crawl or reach out for their would-be saviours. Right now, most were too busy fighting for their lives to intervene. Something, however, had managed to break the first wave's momentum. Reinforcements did not pour through the great, open doors as they had minutes ago. Even as Lieutenant Krusair and his men raced towards the first floor of the lobby, he could make out the unceasing descent of yet more dropships.

Skahl didn't need to order his men down as they reached the ledge that overlooked the lobby itself, instincts taking over as neon red-bolts streaking overhead and around them. Dozens of defenders lined the first floor alone, doing their utmost to rain fire down in support of those caught in closer quarters. The Lieutenant threw himself against the relative protection of the ledge's barrier, raising his knees up and shifting his rear back to take a more 'operational' position. "Status, Sergeant?!" The Zabrak woman visibly flinched as a bolt struck against the banister mere inches from her face, "Damnit! Gah!" Shaking her head, she turned to face the Lieutenant. "We got friendlies right outside the front door, but I dunno how long that walker's gonna last against all this!"

The Lieutenant frantically waved over a pair of men carrying with them a repeater cannon, both of them adorned in little more than a GAR dress uniform and light vests taken from the armouries. "Stairwell, there!" Pointing towards the large stairwell - one of two within the lobby - at his left, the Lieutenant rose his voice once again. "Pour it on 'em! Don't stop!" His intent was to force some of the invaders to ground for those vital moments that the repeater team needed to deploy and begin firing the weapon, Skahl turning back to the Zabrak. "We need to clear this hall and get through to that walker, or else we won't hold here for long." Skahl didn't see it, but the sound of the repeater spooling up was all too satisfying to his senses. It was now over never. "Sergeant, your men are with me." From his crouch he dropped onto his knees, the Lieutenant throwing himself forward and letting momentum do the rest, keeping his body as low beside the balcony's cover as he could "Let's go! With me!"

Ray's killing spree continued as the Heavy Walker held the Senate entrance, the gatling repeater barrel turning a heated red as it continued to fire without halt. Above the Walker, smoke began to rise, accompanied by the wave-lick heat patterns overhead as the War Machine's turbines and servos were pushed to their limits. The Sith company drew ever-nearer, continuing their suicidal assault against the heavy war machine in the front. The side turbolaser glowed a vibrant red, firing once more into the enemy formation with a hefty blast, sundering a crater into the courtyard plaza - leaving charred and tattered robes around the blast site.

From within the cockpit the pilot began to turn belligerent, feeling a slight blood haze swirl his thoughts as his War Machine reaped the bodies feet-high. His eyes twitched beneath his goggles, an alert tracing his HUD as the suit's motion sensors went off. RIGHT! The Walker began to turn, seeing a colossal boulder flying towards it. He reached overhead, "PISTONS - EMERGENCY HYDRAULI-"

Suddenly, the boulder erupted to cinder, having been shattered by some unseen force. Ray's eyes widened, a sudden revelation reaching his thoughts.

Jedi.
His chest burned with renewed vigor - he wasn't alone. The Sith formation continued to press onward, the death toll continuing to rise as they pushed past the Walker, bleeding into the Senate building. The mighty War Machine reached a heavy leg upward, a mechanical whirr breaking through the air as pistons accelerated and smashed the walker's foot downward with a mighty, earth-shattering step, crushing two infantrymen beneath Durasteel plates.

A red lightsaber-wielding Sith leaped upward towards the Walker, piercing his searing hot blade through the War Machine's durasteel cockpit. Ray swore, the gatling repeater turning a hefty 82 degrees upward and firing point-blank onto the Sith's torso, cleaving him in two. A sudden explosion erupted from the Walker's defunct left turbolaser, sending a nearby control panel flying through the cockpit. Sparks rained along the cockpit interior, singing the Pilot's adrenaline-fueled arms as he continued to man the primary turbolaser and gatling repeater, a red lightsaber piercing through the cockpit.

"I'M STILL HERE, GOD DAMN IT! YOU HEAR ME?!" A Sith dropship flew towards the Central Plaza, preparing an entourage of Sith reinforcements. Ray swung his Targeting Computer to his face, as a sudden explosion rocked the Walker, momentarily sending his TC to the fritz. "COME ON!" He swore, heftily slapping the targeting computer to get it working once more - rapidly gaining a lock on the approaching dropship. His functioning right turbolaser rose - firing a heavy bolt across the sky. The Sith drop-ship erupted into flames, careening out of control towards Sith Plaza and impacting the concrete floor with a slide.

The Walker still yet stood, its pilot on a blood haze, a red saber piercing its cockpit and flames cindering the sides of its durasteel chassis - but it still stood.

"Jedi.." the words hissed through his teeth as he watched his plan literally explode tiny bits of rubble across the battlefield, he watched the Female Jedi take cover behind their Walker. It was a single beacon of light in the battle, he knew it wouldn't last much longer. The Sith were far to many, flooding in from various drop ships and crevices they bled into the Courtyard. Luca pressed forward his sabers reigniting with a loud hissing and crimson light like most of the Light-sabers that flooded the field. The Charge began once more, his eyes locking onto the Jedi that ruined his attempt at taking down the Walker. His charge turned into a full blown sprint, keeping himself at a high speed. It was relatively easy for him to do with his natural speed and the aid of the force. Everything seemed to slow down around him, everyone's body movements seemed to be slower to him as his blades came up in a fury of swings and blocks as Plasma rocked towards him, he reflected it with ease taking down two Republic troopers whom had been firing at him. Toes pushing off the ground he launched himself into the both sabers deactivating as he spun into a ball to land perfectly on his feet atop the stairs, they reactivate as his eyes lock onto the Female Jedi. The Walker clanking above them and without warning he would lash out with a powerful overhead swing, both Crimson blades attempting to come down atop of her as his voice screamed out into a fit of rage "You Pathetic Worm, You will join the bodies of the Republic Defenders as the Sith crush this Planet beneath their heel!"

Cain and his legion stood at the edge of the square, watching the chaos unfold. The sith warriors below whom had charged with the initial wave had been cut through by the Republic firestorm. Cain smiled, crossing his arms behind his back, the wind whipped and groaned around him as one Sith in particular up ahead reached out with the force to lash out with a massive slab of concrete. The concrete was crushed in due order by a young female Jedi who joined the fray outside. The young Sith moved with blistering speed, launching himself at the capital steps and landing on his feet, his target clear. Cain rolled his shoulders, ignoring their battle for now and focusing on the walker.

The last of the first wave of Priesthood dropships opened up, more priests pouring out and forming ranks. A Republic soldier leapt out from behind a pile of rubble and drew his weapon. The Sith's lightsaber flickered to light, carving through the man's weapon and torso. His weapon deactivated just as several crimson robed priests darted past him, their vibroblades humming as they hopped from pile to pile of rubble. One of them landed on a republic trooper and dug his weapon in, twisting it. Cain looked up at the walker, growing closer. He reached out with the force, focusing on the pilot. He wondered for a moment if he could get a grip on the man... yes it was a man's throat.

Deciding it would be a waste of energy, he drew in his power and allowed lightning to travel down from his shoulder, his elbow, to his fingertip. A bolt of lightning lanced out from his finger and struck the side of the vehicle. Electricity flickering all over it's metallic surface. Another bolt of lightning left the fingertip of a priest to his left. Single bolts, largely insignificant alone, began to flicker into the air peppering the side of the walker.

His priests continued their march and onslaught, pressing down the causeway. Cain, however, charged his body with the force and performed his own leap, following the Male Sith to the steps. He landed on his feet and crossed his arms behind his back once more-and turned to watch the Sith lash out at his foe.

The Sith pushed forward, one in particular took charge and leaped through the air to land before Ikora. She could feel his cold, hating eyes before he bear down two lightsabers in madness. She deftly glanced her blade against his to avoid the savage strength in the swing whilst stepping back. Ikora hastily threw a volley of force at the Sith before lashing out at him with a deadly flurry of strikes.
And then as she saw the masses of Sith swell behind the figure, advancing further more, and who would no doubt overwhelm their position in a short moment. Her mind raced through to the operator of the Walker besides her, she yelled We need to regroup with the others. Then another Sith appeared and seemed to watch her altercation with enjoyment.
She could think of only one thing to do to buy some time, her mind spoke again to the operator, I'm bringing the archway down. Giving the operator enough time to vacate the area she jumped back from the Sith and raised her hands, focusing on the archway overhead, desperately clawing for a solid grip to tear it down. A stray plasma bolt glanced her shoulder and broke her attention for just a moment before the archway gave loose, crashing down with incredible force.

Luca went flying backwards as the sudden blast of force impacted with him, he tumbled back before landing back on his feet as the dust picked up around him as he came to a sliding stop, his dual blades made it easy for him to clash with her in every blow she attacked him with, his blades swung towards her but alas he was late, slower then he should've been as she jumped backwards. His eyes glared up swiftly as he saw the Archway starting to shake and stir and he took that at his moment to get out of the way. His feet pushed off the ground as he launched himself further up the stairs towards the senate building, keeping himself between the Senate Building and the Republics retreat. Several Republic Troopers appeared from behind the makeshift defenses as they began to fire into the Sith Lord who stood, twisting on his heel his blades bouncing the Plasma off and returning fire, striking two of the attacking Troopers with their own bolts as they fell to the ground lifeless. The Final one he thought on for a moment, his hand shooting out gripping around his throat with a invisible grip once more as he squeezes, a sickening crack is heard as he tosses the lifeless body towards a nearby wall, impaling it on a piece of metal that was sticking out. Turning his blades came up to maintain a defensive position, and it seemed he wasn't going to let this Jedi leave without a fight.

Cain's eyes widened with amusement as the girl engaged the Sith warrior only to immediately change strategies as she took note of him and his legions. The Sith Master looked up when she reached out with curled fingers. He spread his arms, his heart pounding, his eyes on the falling stones. Behind him, his dark legions reached out with the force to deflect the stones as they fell. Not all of them were deflected, the largest slabs of concrete slamming into the ground here and there. He looked around, feeling the gusts of wind as the masses of stone displaced air and sent dust clouding the area. Bodies of sith warriors, soldiers and republic troops alike could be seen beneath the rocks.

"Collateral Damage isn't very Jedi like." Cain laughed, reaching out with the force and attempting to grasp the girl with telekinesis. His eyes flicked toward Luca who had moved away from the falling debris and engaged the republic troops. The Steward of Darth Solum's force grip tugged at the girl, his intention to pull her to him. His teeth bared and gleaming even as his hood flew back, revealing the off-gray cowl decorated with six eyes, two of which glowed with orange light-a force wound.

"Lord Jissard." Cain drawled loudly, "Would you be opposed to taking a few of my priests inside with you?"

Peering out the window, she scanned the battlefield for a potential opponent. As a light saber wielder herself, it made sense to search an opponent that could match her chosen medium.

Somewhere on the chaos, and enemy strewn upper layer of the technologically encrusted planet, cargo vehicles came to a skidding halt. They released swarms of Sith Brotherhood soldiers, and priests. They gripped their red iridescent weapons, pouring into the battle.

Lanna gripped her own saber, and speedily made her way down to one of the designated exit regions of the building, ready to jump into the action. As soon as she stood by the doorway, she had to slip out at the right time to avoid getting sprayed with bullets. The girl ignited her gleaming blue bade, and swiftly spun it to her side, to deflect any oncoming blaster shots. Something inside of her had switched to completely ignore her hesitations. Instead, she suppressed her emotions, and preformed as soon as she had left the safety of the Capital building.

A familiar presence washed over her. Two conflicting sides. One sweet, and the other bitter. The sweetness didn't last long, and the dark presence seemed to drown her in a feeling of disgust. Wake. An old acquaintance she met on Coruscant not long ago. How unfortunate too find him leading an army of Sith Priests. He made her blood boil.

There was an explosion off to the side of her, which she ducked at, feeling her heart leap. She continued to sprint out to where the AT-PT walker that almost seemed to be melting down due to overuse. It was where the battle seemed to be called, so she decided to immerse herself into it. She swung her light saber to block oncoming blaster fire, force pushed people out of her way, and she dodged obstacles with great speed, and swiftness. Thanks to her adrenaline, she would not be running out of energy anytime soon.

As she approached the fray, she saw a familiar face. Ikora.
