The thread is 1/4 in the Smash and Grab Plot.
Self DM
OOC thread.

Dax Rau truly enjoyed the night life on Nar Shaddaa. It flooded his mind with booze and space, pushing out the sights and smells of war. Since the Mandalorians liberated the planet from the now broken Republic the Watch Captain had made the planet, and more literally the bar they were heading to, his second home.

The "LL" as most simply call it. A cantina and brothel who's owner (@Dread) was perhaps more enticing then the sins she peddled. Tonight it was the final stop for Dax and his best friend Drace (@vamp) on a half day long stumble from club to bar to spice den to the combination of. Dax was not as drunk as he could have been, he wanted to make it back here to his favorite place.

"hikup...mm. Ok mistezzer Filed Marshal, it's your turn to buy the round."

A day on Nar Shaddaa lasted as long as 4 standard days, and Drace was damn surprised the two had even been able to keep the party going for that long. It had been 42 hours so far, and it seemed the fun was slowly drawing to a close, but the Marshal knew they would have to go out with a bang. The neon sign of the Lusty Lekku flickered on and off in front of him, hurting his eyes a little, his alcohol-doused brain protesting having to actually function.

"If you buy a round for everyone in the bar with my money again, I'm going to send you on a mission to pick up where Burk left off on Korriban," he replied, stepping into the cantina. Word of Burkhart and Brianna's shenanigans had long spread through the ranks, resulting in hundreds of jokes and threats at their expense. Drace had generally steered from it to be nice, but his intoxicated brain had let loose, just this once.

"Tion'tuur was te kyr'yc ca'nara ibic di'kut had credits? << When was the last time this idiot had credits? >>"

The Mandalorian redhead had been following both of the men all day for reasons she hadn't quite yet been explained. Sure she was part of the Death Watch troop...but did she really have to follow the commanders around while they were getting drunk? Maybe that was the reason. Was she just a bodyguard to them? They could drink and she was the designated driver. If so, she was thoroughly insulted. She hadn't had a chance to drink since her wedding and the heavens knew she needed a stiff drink after the missions she'd been on recently.

Corrine Solus had joined Death Watch for the wrong reasons, but she stuck it out because of her pride. Her old Solus buddies were off doing their own things. And her husband was home sick with a nasty bug. Against her protests, he kicked her out because he didn't want to get her sick too. And he explained her missions with the Watch were far too important in liberating the verse for her to stay at home sick too.

So, dawned in her Death Watch Beskar'gam, she followed after her commanders like an annoyed child. She was armed like always with her two "Strill" blaster pistols and Westar C1 carbine on her back. Unlike her other set of gear, she now also carried a vibro knife in a sheathe just above her butt. She'd also customized the iron skin with advanced armor functions to have her flamethrower and wrist rocket on her arms, and jett boots on the bottoms of her soles. Her helmet she carried in the crook of her arm. When she first joined the Watch she was afraid of what people might think, and didn't want to ruin her clan's reputation. Things changed though for now she didn't care one way or another. Duty was duty. And lying to her people she felt was just plain wrong.

Dax looked to Drace first, and laughed. The kind of laugh that told both of the Solous that the Rau member knew something neither was aware of. Though it was most likely an empty thread, Drace could not order Dax around. The Watch Captain went were he liked, or where Manda'lor herself pointed. That and he hand managed to copy both of their credit cards to his datapad at some point in the night.

"IF I had gone in the first place, he would not have ended up in wild space for nearly a month." He finally said to his friend. Then looked to his fellow watch member. "No one told you to come in full armor or that you could not drink. Do not get mad and Drace and myself because you mis-read the invite I sent your datapad. Besides, you're lowest rank, your buying." he said over his shoulder to Cory.

Finally the three would enter the bar. As usual the play was a party. Dancers greeted them at the door, in Dax's case they went so far as to greet him by name. Then Lead them to Dax's usual booth.

"Ladies, wonderful to see you as always. Please a round of shots and beers for me and my friends. two for my lady friend she needs to loosen up." waving the other two into the both as he ordered for them. Then looked to Drace, "I'll be right back, need to drain to drain the tank." And off he went toward the rest rooms just off a side door from the bar.

The stuffy heat of the Lusty Lekku hit him first, followed by the sound of the music. Drace tuned it out, instead glancing around the bar as he stood at the entrance, hand absentmindedly feeling the paint on the walls, his senses alert from the alcohol. He stepped forward and inside, none of the guards stopping him from walking in with weapons; they were, after all, in Mandalorian space. Doing so would be a death wish, whether he was drunk or not. Instead, they merely watched and fidgeted as he entered, not wearing any armor besides his helmet, which was covering his head. It was a strange sight, and several people looked at him as he passed by them, but Drace didn't notice or care.

A few of the dancers winked at him as they greeted them, though he was too out of it to reciprocate the greeting. Instead, he followed the group, passing by several tables of gawking patrons. "You never seen one of Kad's warriors before?" he asked one of them confrontationally, the man immediately turning red and looking back down at his meal. The stares stopped after that.

He threw himself down on the couch inside the booth, spreading his arms and legs all over it. Drace took up a good half of the booth, though that was fine considering its spacious size. Dax had left to go to the bathroom, so the Field Marshal was alone with Corrine and the dancers, some of which sat down near him, slowly inching closer. The Mandalorian welcomed the advance, draping his hand around one dancer and using his other hand to inch his helmet up over his face. It rested on the crown of his head, his features now visible. "So," he began. "What does a gentleman have to do for a drink around here?"

Dax would say something to Drace and then turn his attention to her. He thought insulting her intelligence the best thing to do, but she speculated it was just boys being boys. So she didn't take it too seriously. She could throw shade too if that's what he wanted.

"Sa meh Ni Ru'kel cuyir caught dead not wearing ner Beskar'gam, gar di'kut! << As if I would be caught dead not wearing my iron skin, you idiot >>" He then added that she was buying and she shook her head while crossing her arms, " Yeah? Ti meg credits? Ni cuy' su paying off credits teh te wedding << Yeah? With what money? I'm still paying off drinks from the wedding. >>"

Moving into the club, Corrine eyed the establishment. It had been a good while since she set foot in this palor and was surprised to see it had been remodeled. A certain after-war party turned this place into a mosh pit. She remembered it fondly as her to-be husband was thrown from the front window. Thank the gods they were only on the first floor.

She heard Dax then order them some drinks to which she called after one of the girls, "None for me, thanks! Don't listen to this lop!"

They were directed to an empty booth -Corrine would later be surprised to find it was practically reserved for the man. Drace threw himself down into the couch and took up a good half of it. "Charming," she thought to herself as she sat on the other head and as far away from him as she could get. Not that she had anything against the man, she simply didn't want to get caught in the middle when Dax was to return. She would be quick on her feet to make him sit in the middle, or to scoot Drace down so he would be. Corrine wasn't about to be squished by either of their egos. Not tonight.

Dancers would come around their table and sit next to Drace. One came up to Corrine but she shooed them away with a grumpy scowl. She was in such a sour mood and was in no need for a lap dance. The boys would enjoy that show which was exactly why she kept her cool. Maybe if Arturo was here she could loosen up. She'd share a dance with everyone in that club if it meant he was watching her from a far. It wasn't often she liked to act girly. But maybe that was because Arturo was softening her up. He treated her like a warrior, and never looked down on her for her gender.
