OF HUNGER
There are so many beings in the universe, of every ilk. Some hunger aloud, clamoring for a place in the world by devouring their enemy face-to-face. They rend and slaughter and bathe in the blood of the fallen. These men and women rocket through the ranks of the Sith and bathe in the glory of their ranks.

Ban is not one of these.

Some wear their hunger in action alone, but wear this brooding anger on their sleeves. They live the lives of quiet beasts, but beasts nontheless. They, too, slaughter their enemies and wear their emotions on their sleeves as a good Sith does. This anger feeds their hate and guides them to greatness.

Yet, still, Ban si not one of these.

Ban is not a monster at all. No, she is far further gone. She has not been a monster for a very long time; she is something else, and what she is is yet to be named and only whispered in hushed questions and assumption. She is of the rare few who feed a hate hidden from the world around them, bury it beneath the surface to be reflected on and fanned, and channeled into terrible and unpredictable ends. The same anger boils in her veins, kept from the world to leave those beside her, above her, below her in question of what it is that stands before them.

Ban does not rend and slaughter. She does not bathe in the blood of her enemies. Ban relishes in it. A quiet woman, a woman of vision, of the world beyond and to come. There is purity to her demeanor, one that leaves her enemies wondering and unsure until the moment is upon them.

BIRTH & BEING
i: ORIGIN
Ban has never talked of her history. Much like the rest of her life, it lay sewn into her skin, hidden beneath robes and flesh and sinew. None, not the closest of confidants or most insignificant of nobodies, know of her origins and from where she has hailed. Her story to those of the Brotherhood begins the day she was reborn in the flames of battle, fished from the ilk of nameless slavery aboard a derelict ship in the furthest corners of the Outer Rim.

The soldiers who found Ban that day conjecture upon what happened. The stories are of curious sorts, but all agree on one thing: Ban was alone surrounded by the dead Hutt cartel who had carried her that day. The men that found her found her solemn, silent, scarred and unclothed; they described a hushed fury in her eyes and a near-catatonic state consuming her. They described a scene painted with the blood and torn limbs and ligaments of the bodies around her. There was no grace in their deaths, they say. There were no blaster wounds or clean cuts of a blade. These men described a scene in which all twelve of the men aboard that ship died and died slow. Fingers pulled from sockets, arms twisted and contorted, legs bent back and ripped at the bone.

Unfamiliar terror had gripped her saviors that day, and tempted to leave her in the wind, they counted their graces in her uneventful delivery to Moraband where these men collected a healthy bounty for what could only be a force sensitive.

ii: the ACADEMY
To describe Ban as a prodigy would be a understatement of her character.

The academy is a fire from which greatness is forged. Weakness is culled, violently. Tempers are fever-pitched. Failure is paid for with blood and pain. These flames, those which define the men and women borne from them, promote ferocious competition between acolytes. While killing a fellow acolyte is expressly forbidden, few ever observe these limits with purity. And those who choose not to kill find many other ways to devastate the competition. Through this process, children are broken, figuratively and literally. These games are not the trivial games of the youth of the galaxy, but a game that acolytes must learn to play with precision.

Few played the game so well; Ban was said to have somehow propelled herself to the very top without so much as the slightest tell of her process. Her demeanor was described as unassuming. She was never once observed lashing out at her classmates or propelling herself foolhardy into battle. These same traits saw those of her class shuffled to the back, dismissed as weak; for Ban, it was said that her silence and demeanor was but a vehicle of the machinations she put into play. The few acolytes who sought to challenge her failed, and quickly, others learned that to challenge her was to invite the destruction of all prospects moving forward.

By the time the twilight years of her role as an acolyte approached, challenges to her position at the top became unheard of.

Though never proven, whispers suggest that it was here that Ban took focus on the masters themselves, seeking to hone her skills with higher game. No evidence to this was ever unveiled, and all that ever persisted were rumors and mysterious circumstances, but it is without question that Ban established herself as a force to be reckoned within the Brotherhood.

iii: the BROTHERHOOD

Today is the day she emerged from the pits of Korriban: a Sith.

ARSENAL
i: LIGHTSABER
Ban's lightsaber is new; the symbol of her arrival as a Sith. The blade itself glows a fiery reddish-orange, a product of the synthetic crystal Ban, herslef, forged through the dark arts of the Force. As a result, the crystal channels a piece of her and is more suited as an extension of her will.

FORM V, SHIEN:

FORM VI, NIMAN:

ii: ARMOR
Ban wears full traditional Sith garb, dark black robes that cover her head to toe. Beneath, she is typically fully clad in durasteel plates. The armor is more than capable of warding off small arms munition. Sustained fire or heavy munitions are less effectively dealt with; however, the armor is thickest at vital points in order to optimize protection without obstructing movement.

Additionally, as a gift of her prowess as an acolyte, she was awarded a right gauntlet constructed from cortosis alloy.

iii: GEAR
Holomessenger
Datapad
Rebreather
Fully-loaded utility belt

iv: FORCE ABILITIES
HEAL/HARM: Ban's strength with the healer arts stems from her knowledge of alien anatomy. While she does not possess a great deal of strength, much like many Sith of her kin, she can achieve some influence using other tools at her disposal.
██████████
ENERGY MANIPULATION: Every bit a master of the Force, her attacks tend to tap into the elements as a transmission for other effects. While she does possess the more obvious Force Lightning, Ban is presently experimenting with other types of manipulation by which she can play the field.
█████████
MENTAL MANIPULATION: The subtle manipulation of those around her is a particularly volatile tool in her arsenal. The precise angle of attack is not always so obvious, and it helps that she is patient.
██████████
SENSE: Her senses are a strong point, scouring and absorbing battlefields for the sake of tactics and strategy.
██████████
ACROBATICS: While power is not her forte, Ban's mastery and manipulation of the force as an art greatly enhances her physical capabilities making up for what she is lacking in physical strength.
██████████
STATUS EFFECTS: Utilizing the force to influence those around her, strengthen and invigorate herself, or weaken others against her, can be done both by direct manipulation and by proxy of her other force abilities
██████████
TELEKINESIS: Used with incredible precision, Ban is not one to use telekinesis for brute shoes of force, but rather in tandem with her knowledge of physiology.
██████████
TRANCE: Trance as an art of battle is rarely a deeply-tapped Sith ability. Though this art is a cornerstone to harnessing her anger and hatred and fear and is frequently tapped outside of combat.

I believe the image originated with Michelle Pfeiffer from Ladyhawke. I used to have it.

Love the character! I think she and Rosalin would get along, though they might not have much to say to each other. XD

The Sith academy is on Korriban, did you know that? : )

In all fairness, it's a stoic fury, not necessarily stoic personality. Though it bleeds over a little bit, she won't exactly be a wall flower.
Also, I knew that. Criss-crossed current SW canon and the forum canon and plugged in Moraband out of habit.

Very nice character man, it's not often I read Sith that I legitimately like. Spurring me to start working on my second Sith a little.

We should do a thing eventually. PM me at some point, maybe? :D
