DESCRIPTION​

Badger One and Little Badger are the names given to the first two Dodonna class armed transports added to Rancor Squadron's fleet assets. The vessels share many commonalities with the "standard" dodonna transports and the GR-75s in turn. They primarily serve to provide supplies for the Squadron and are greatly valued for their carrying capacity.

Not intended to be used as a combat vessel, Badger One and Little Badger are both dangerous capital sized vessels and considered bulk cruisers. Most often they are joined by a starfighter escort or traveling with a larger fleet to compensate for weaknesses enemies might try to otherwise exploit.

Badger One is usually a title reserved for the Alor of House Solus but this particular naming is to honor Raz Solus. Similarly Little Badger was the name of Leandros Solus. Both fought against the Sith and were married to one another millennia ago. Each of them led the Mandalorian people as Mand'alor and made huge contributions to the galaxy Hauron did not want to soon forget.

The two ships were first acquired in a battle against pirates. The then GR-75 transports were stopped and the pirate crew captured to be later turned into authorities for their crimes. The pair of ships were taken to dry dock in the Ploo system where they would later be retrofitted, up armed and armored for their new purposes. Badger One and Little Badger are the first two ships to be captured during an active engagement by Rancor Squadron.

LEGALITY​

Restricted. Dodonna-class armed transports are classified as capital ships under Galactic law, and possess heavy weapons. As such, civilian owners will require extra licensing to operate one legally, and will receive increased scrutiny by authorities.

INTENT​

To have a custom and modified Dodonna-class Armed Transport for Rancor Squadron. Acquired here. Also to add some history and flavor for Mandalorain characters. These will be used as faction assets for players to use in an official capacity or make for thread settings. I'll update this writeup as mods are added or changes are made as well as threads these ships participate in.

RESTRICTIONS​

Dodonna-class armed transports are capital ships with heavy weapons, and thus cannot be owned or operated by individual characters. They may be acquired as faction assets, however, or by a group of at least 3 individual characters who work together regularly.
