To say Clara was ecstatic when her ship touched down on the landing pad would be an understatement. The Star Guardians leader spent a few solid minutes cheering when the offer to visit the Jedi on Maltha Obex reached their datapads.
Prior to this day, the Star Guardians had only had one proper conversation with the Jedi order. While they made a formal agreement that the Jedi would follow the Star Guardians' rules within medical facilities and other Star Guardians-related businesses, a lot depended on the rebel council. But, following the events of Yavin IV, where many Jedi were displeased to see the former Star Guardians' leader, followed by the leader's disappearance being blamed on the Rebels, there had been radio silence. Partly because the Star Guardians were simply not ready to re-establish their connection with the Jedi order. That was until now.
Clara excitedly ID'ed herself and was escorted to the location where the Jedi Councillor had requested the meeting. She'd heard a lot about Jedi Councillor Hera. The Joyful Jedi. Some stories were good, while others were... less so. Clara had seen that one huttball match that had circulated around the holonet for quite some time. But she decided to go into this conversation without judgment or bias. Even the rumored Rebel strike would have been ignored for the time being.
And so they arrived. After leading Clara to the door, the guards lowered their heads and backed away, leaving her alone. And in that moment of solitude, her brain started wizz into action. Because even though she was excited, she still hadn't gotten all that used to diplomatic meetings. Would she be good enough? Would the Jedi like her? After all, this was a pretty important talk. No, she couldn't let these insecurities get to her. So she paused for a second, taking a deep breath to calm any nerves that were bubbling up, before reaching out and knocking on the door.
