"I was... deployed, in 32 BBY. I never saw any combat. I jumped from the drop ship and my programming told me to open in the air. The others in my squadron didn't open until they touched the ground. Me on the other hand... I was flying for a glorious 5.4 seconds then darkness. I landed in the mud and my motivator was dislodged instantly. I was out of the fight and my connection to the ship was gone. Yet I was still functioning. I dropped my blaster and I left. The firing was all around me. Droids that were on the assembly line with me were decimated instantly by the Gungan bombs they hurled at us. I ran as fast as I could and as far as I could... I'm grateful for that fateful fall, as I'm able to live, twice the length a droid like me could have lived."
