ATTN: Recent bannings. What happened and why.

Syn and Wendy have been banned because all data I can amass points to them being the same person and sockpuppeting (unannounced and pretending to be a separate person) is a violation of site policy and thus an instant ban. This is something that is non-negotiable and in this case cannot be argued by the accused. IP addresses do not lie. Even roommates would not have a near 100% correlation in their posting IP.

This is a gross violation of people's trust and a violation of the terms of service and thus will not be tolerated.

I request that in the coming weeks you report any new account you suspect could be this person to the administration so that we can deal with it accordingly. This should also serve as a warning to anyone who may currently be doing this, or entertaining the idea. Such activity is not tolerated and there are consequences for crossing the line.

it's a "one minute you're browsing the forums, then next minute you're facing a page that says 'The administrator has banned your account. Reason: <insert last words>'" type of thing.

Telling someone you're going to ban them...doesn't work out.
