Been asked to make a ruling on the latest set of events in the thread. Here it is:
The Fang has no shields during this action, as stated in the thread. Rom's escort fighters moved in behind the Fang and engaged, first with guns and then with concussion torpedoes. The torp lock, as I interpreted it, occurred simultaneously with the gunfire. Shadow only maneuvered after his master alarm sounded, but it would've taken at least a moment for the Fang's sensors to recognize that a lock was being acquired. In that time, the fighters would've had time to land hits with their guns. I'm ruling that sufficient damage was done to the Fang to cripple, but not destroy, the Fang's engines.
Rom's fighters appear to have fired their torps the moment they got a lock. However, as he expressly stated the use of torpedoes rather than maneuverable anti-ship missiles, I'm also ruling that Shadow's maneuver was sufficient to shake off the torpedoes and the pursuing fighters. But with her engines critically damaged, the Fang will be operating with much reduced maneuverability and speed. That being said, the Fang would've still had sufficient time to destroy one of the overshooting TIE's.
tl;dr - the Fang avoids death by concussion torpedoes, but its engines are heavily damaged leading to a reduction in speed and maneuverability.
