From her place at the bar Aadya simply stood and watched, her eyes moving from person to person simply taking in what was going on around her. it had been some time since she'd been at a gathering like this, her days more filled with responsibility now than they ever were before. Sometimes she missed the carefree days when she'd first joined the Empire. They seemed like eons ago at this point.
Aadya noticed happily when someone she recognized arrived, her good friend Zandrali. Of course these days she was going by a much more ominous moniker, something Aadya was quite proud of her friend for. Aadya gave her a small wave and a pleasant smile, but for now was still content idling on her own. Seeing a group starting to get a little riled up with what appeared to be a dice game, Aadya strolled over and started watching from the sidelines.
"A thermal det?" She asked inquisitively, hopefully loudly enough @Burkhart Kelborn to hear. "Bet something more interesting than that, Kelborn. Here," She said, pulling out a credit chit worth about fifty thousand. A pittance to any Drast really, especially so for the Empress. Aadya tossed it on the betting table with flippancy. "I'll wager this that the Pureblood here can beat your roll. Gonna need a little more than a couple of big boy grenades to match and make this really interesting." Looking over at @Hask Jen, Aadya flashed him a smile. "Don't let me down, eh? Or doing bitch work for the Kelborn won't be the only thing you'll need to worry about." There was a clear tone of joviality to her words to Hask, though her gaze probably came across as nothing but serious. At the end of the day, Aadya hated losing. It was the absolute worst.
Taking a sip of her drink, the young Empress went back to her previous silence, content to watch the game unfurl - hopefully with a new sense of urgency and drama.
