DESCRIPTION
The Assassin Slugthrower Pistol is a new product designed by ACM, far too long they have sat in quiet with others such as Czerka getting the spotlight. The Assassin is designed specifically to deal with the growing threat of QuickDraw blasters in the galaxy. Designed with a slimmer but longer muzzle, it fires a rapid 3 round slug burst towards enemies. Given its light-weight frame and easy ergonomics, it allows for reliability and precision. However, these advantages come at the price of range, as the weapon is effective only at relatively close encounters.

LEGALITY
Restricted to military personnel, being in the possession of one could have authorities glance at you warringly. Some countries and principalities may also have an outlaw ban on slugthrower weapons.

INTENT
I wanted an alternative weapon to combat the growing use of Quickdraws in this timeline. I feel that this weapon grants players a different combat style, to play closer than the other comparative pistols in this TL provide.

ADVANCED TECH
YES, this is an advanced pistol and will require 1-2 threads of adequate difficulty to obtain.

You might want to have it be made by a less credible manufacturer since slug throwers are more or less outlawed by civilized planets.

Light weight is also not the case, since it is about as heavy in terms of weight as heavy blasters. Maybe for slug throwers it is. 2.5 kg isn't light in terms of pistols but that isn't a bad thing.

Also make sure you state it fires 3 round burst over the course of one second. Otherwise people assume its 3 round burst per trigger pull which is the case of the QDs and they can fire 4 bolts in 1 second.

Maybe add in an option to switch between burst and single shot too. Just in case people want to not risk dealing with recoil and expended ammo.

But the Quickdraw is only 2.0 kg versus this is 2.5, so seems like a minimal difference no?

And Im not following your trigger pull suggestion. Wouldn't a 3 round burst be 3 shots per trigger pull?

It would be 3 rounds, but the rounds don’t shoot out at once, they shoot out one after the other over the course of a second. Unless you want it to have three barrels to shoot out three projectiles at once. Which would add to the complexity, the weight, and the accuracy. And probably make it an even higher tier AT.

Oh I see. So the Quickdraw even though it shoots 2 bolts one after the other, it can squeeze four bolts out in one second? So I should specify that this would likely be 3 slugs per second?

Considering that is what I literally said above yes lol.

Approved. My apologies for the wait.

Please bear in mind, all repeater and burst-fire weaponry is subject to increased scrutiny; we've had some trouble with such things lately. Should it be found necessary to do so, this weapon may require future alterations as requested.
