[OOC THREAD]

The sound of flashing could be heard deep within the dimly lit training rooms of the Sith temple, Emma Quinn was hard at work hacking and slicing the training droids for three straight hours without rest. She did not want to be behind the students just because she was new, she was determined to surpass them by any means necessary if she had to convinced that this was the path that she was supposed to walk down to fur-fill her destiny. She ducked under a droid taking a side slice at her with a training saber. plunging her own straight into its middle slicing the red blade up its body slicing it into as if it was butter. she rolled to the side manoeuvring away from another lunge. The droids where working together to try get her into a corner but she was more agile. It was easier to dodge and move freely in this giant metal dome room. There where no obstacles to impede her progress. She regained her hunched posture ready and waiting for the remaining two droids to attack her

She felt there was no challenge fighting these droids. They where no human or Aliens and had limited potential in battle. Her muscled ached from the non stop droid slaughterhouse. Husks of sliced up droids littered the steel floor of the training room. She waited as the first droid lunged at her with the vibrosaber aiming a slice down at her shoulder blade causing Emma to block it easily allowing the force to flow through her releasing a force push from her free hand propelling the droid across the room. She regained her posture in time to block a lunge from the droid parrying its lightsaber in a spinning strike taking its head clean off. she sighed as she panted to regain her breath. She needed to get better. she needed to surpass the other students to become superior she thought

She regained her posture extinguishing her lightsaber. Sitting down against the cold metal wall of the training room to catch er breathe. She has been pushing herself for a long time. Every part of her body ached but she pushed herself on netherless

Mur'rain entered the training chamber and saw another Acolyte practicing with the Order's training droids. Mur'rain watched for a passing moment then moved to another part of the chamber to conduct her personal training session. She had found these sessions not only tightened her lightsaber forms but kept her sharp and ready at all times. It had been some time since she worked with the droids having been assigned missions from the STARS and working with a Sith Lord and others on the lightsaber form, Soresu. Now with time to herself, it was time to smooth out the creases in her combat prowess, which were few; if any. She had long chosen to walk the path of a Assassin or Maurader so combat was in heart.

She pulled back the folds of her cloak and unclipped her lightsaber hilt. Using the Temple's voice recognization program, she uploaded the training program 77-J. Six droids roared to life and quickly produced their saber staffs, crimson blades at each end. Calling on the Dark Side to center her, she emptied her thoughts then ignited her lightsaber. The silver blade extended from the hilt and hummed to life. She twirled it once in her hand then dropped into the Soresu form. The droids began to move toward her, two on her left and two on her right moved to flank her. She charged the two droids in front first. Slashing high as she came into range, she removed the arm of one of the droids causing it to drop its staff. Parringthe attack from the other droid, she kicked the droid in the chest driving it back, then spun her blade around and removed the metal head of the armless droid.

Switching to the Ataru form, she handsprung backwards dodging the attack of the other droid. The four droids that had unsuccessfuly attempted to flank her turned now to face her. Using the Force, she Force Pushed the five droids backwards knocking them to the floor. She watched as her mechanical foes fought to rise to their clawed feet. Once more she called on the gift, the Force, and lifted one off the ground. Holding it there for a second, she locked the activation button on her lightsaber then, guided by the Force, threw her lightsaber at the droid. It pierced its chest cavity and winked out. Mur'rain mentally shut down her lightsaber.

The four droids, all on their feet now, began to move toward the unarmed Sith. Mur'rain simply chuckled as she unclipped the other hilt from her waist. Pushing the activation button, the silver whip emerged. Mur'rain had grown to love her lightwhip. She began to swing the lightwhip around her head, the end of her lightwhip resembling a cat-o-nine- tails made snapping noises in the air. The four droids paused slightly trying to search their programming on how to deal with this weapon. Not giving them the chance to react, Mur'rain flicked her wrist and struck one of the droids. The lightwhip wrapped around the legs and with a quick tug, Mur'rain severed the legs of the droid following the attack by swinging the whip up then snapped it down splitting the droid's head in two. The other three droids, fared no better against Mur'rain and her lightwhip.

With the last droid now destroyed, she powered down her lightwhip, called her lightsaber hilt back to her hand, and clipped both to her waist belt. She dropped to her knees and leaned back on her legs. she began to recite the Sith Code in her mind.

Emma watched as the female walked in and dispatched the droids with her custom lightsaber so gracefully and with such ease it was like she did not need to put any effort into it. She felt the power of the darkside guiding her blade as she destoryed the droids without a second thought. Emma had never seen one in any form other than a a sword " Impressive. I have never seen such a unique mode of combat used by an acolyte" she said standing up from the ground brushing the dirt from her clothes and a lock of dark brown hair away from her face walking a few steps towards the girl kneeling on the ground taking in her features and the tatooes that cover her face. She was eager to discover the nature of the lightsaber she used. It made hers look average in comparison

She was still cautious as she approached. You could never be sure how some of the Sith will react even to their own kind, not to say that all sith are aggressive, power hungry socio-paths but that did not mean she had to watch her back and her tongue when she was around another Sith. She had learned caution from her run in with Gabriel and Lucifer on Onderon the day the city broke into a riot. As hard as the girl tried she could not read her movements or determine what she was thinking. Even with the force. She had only been with the Sith a while and had still a lot to learn in the ways of the darkside of the force. She hoped that she would not be stuck in the temples for long. " "Your weapon in not like any weapon that I have seen before" she said smiling. She did not ant to pass off as intimidating straight away or seem as though she was aggressive. She was intreged by the girls skill

"It is called a lightwhip. Though not as powerful as the traditional lightsaber, it does posses advantages. It keeps your foe from closing in on you due the unpreditcable movements of the whip and it also creates confusion in your opponent," Mur'rain responds without opening her eyes. "Despite its unquiness, it does not bode well againt lightsabers, thus, I carry one of those as well." Mur'rain had stumbled across the concept of the lightwhip when she did research on Lumiya, a former Dark Lady of the Sith, who had managed to convert Jacen Solo, Liea And Han Solo's son, Luke Skywalker's nephew, to the Dark Side. Through her research, she began to love this weapon more and more. It took her a couple of months to put one together and another few more months to master it.

"There is no such thing as unique combat. Only survival and to achieve survival without meeting an unfortunate ending, that is impressive. But you have peeked my interest." Mur'rain opens her eyes yet remains in the kneeling position then continues,"I have never sensed you here before and I make it a habit to know all the Acolytes in all the Temples or Academys. Call it a tip in survival." Now Mur'rain stood up and turned to face the Acolyte.

This Acolyte, a young female with dark brown hair and features resembling someone from the planet of Naboo, stood wtaching her yet Mur'rain felt apprenhension or was it fear in the young girl. The young Acolyte was right to fear others in the Order. Accidents, plots, and treachery ran unchecked through the Temples and Academys. However, this young girl had nothing to fear from Mur'rain personally. Though she was still an Acolyte herself, she had been on several missions for the Order, for STARS, and has studied ligthsaber combat under a a Dark Lord of the Sith. Still, she always returned to the temples to train and size up the competition. One day you make an ally in the Order only to find yourself locked in a battle of survival with that same ally a day or so later.

"So you are here now to study the ways of the Sith. I take it it was by choice to embrace the Great Fall to the Dark Side. But one thing tugs at my curiousity, your story?"

" Unfortunatly I dont have any kind of story to tell..well not yet anyway" she said modestly, smiling at the fellow Acoltye. Se was just a a simple girl from Naboo who ran into a lucky break when that sorcerer saved her life, it was not what she called an interesting story but she knew she will have storys to tell as she progresses through her life as a sith " You are quiet insightful, a trait rarely found in Acoltyes, though I am not one who believes in tired old superstitions like sith ghosts" she extends her hand hoping that the girl would accept it " My name is Emma, nice to meet you "

She knew she would get along with the acolyte. She didnt seem like the one minded people she met on Koriban. She was always cautious when making friends with people. She figured herself to be selective over who she opened herself up to. She never told secrets to anyone she did not truelly trust. It was not that she was being picky it was because when it came to the Sith you could not simply trust everyone

Mur'rain raised her right eyebrow at the gesture of a hand shake. Mur'rain studied it first making sure there was no poisonious surprise waiting in the palm of this Acolyte's hand or fingertips coated with venom from some poisonious creature. Mur'rain clasped her hand into the Acolytes then replied,"Mur'rain. Name is Mur'rain. Everyone has a story to tell no matter how boring and uneventful it is. It is those stories that shape and define what you are. Masters can teach you, break you, or force you to adopt their beliefs but it is your story that makes you an individual. That individualism can never be taken from you and thus, your story is who you are."

Mur'rain released her hold on this Emma as she studied her more closely now. Sensing no danger or treachery from her, Mur'rain contiuned,"For example, take my story. I was a sole survivor on a crashed freighter, found by an exiled Sith Lord, raised as his child, trained by him, then abandonded by the only Father I ever knew. Did it make me bitter? No. Did it make me stronger? Yes. Did it make me crave the knoweldge of the Dark Side further? Absolutely. Everthing I endured, everything I lost, and everything I have done has brought me to this pointe in my life. It is who I am. It sets me apart from others. My life can be stolen from me but this individualism, this story of my life will continue for ever."

Then with a slight chuckle Mur'rain shhok her head. "You do not believe in Sith ghosts or Force ghosts? My sweet little Emma, the Dark Side and the Force has so much to show you."

" I unfortunately have no story to tell at this point, I am just a girl from Naboo looking to become stronger by the dark side of the force " she said smiling to apprentice allowing her hand to drop to her side after finishing the shake. The other girl had a firm handshake. " I came to the Sith the learn the hidden secrets of Sith sorcery and to serve the Empire. " she paused for a moment before continuing to speak " You are quiet insightful, a trait rarely found in other acoyltes though I am quiet cynical of the other acolytes superstitious belief in Sith ghosts " She was super cynical in truth. She did not believe in such silly superstitious nonsense. She stared at the acolyte taking in her facial expression as they spoke

She rarely met acolytes that had even a scrap of independent thought. She had so far examined and memorized the other students movements and battle styles. The others where probibly doing the same. She had to watch her back a lot in case another student tries to off her and always be on her toes. She wondered if the girl was analysing Emma as they spoke looking for weakness's in her form like she was doing v" It seems as if some of the acolytes somewhat lack independent thought "

"You wish to cast dark spells on the enemies of the Sith, do you? Me, I prefer the call of combat hence the vigorous training. My fate in the Sith Order leads me down the path of the Marauder or Warrior. I practice and study the lightsaber forms daily so that one day I will be a master swordsmen. Make no mistake, my connection to the Dark Side is strong and through that, I will strike our enemies down with the force in ways they can never fathom," Mur'rain proclaimed with strong conviction. She had witnessed others flocking to the dark arts of the Arcane but she had no time for meddling in affairs she did not nor wish to understand. But Emma was still young and her path was still at a fork in the road.

"I chose to be independent and only dealing with those amongst our Order when I have something to gain by it. I prefer the company of lonliness but I have my moments of clarity when I seek the company of others. Like now for example," Mur'rain said with a crooked smile on her face. Mur'rain was starting to like this girl. So young. So innocent. So easily corrupted. But Mur'rain was wise enough and experienced enough to detect who was or was not a threat to her survival. Still, Emma was Sith and Sith were known to prey on others; especially the weaker ones of the Order.

"You mentioned some nonsense about serving the Empire. Remember, you serve the Empress not the Empire. You serve the Empress, not the Sith Order. And most of all, you serve yourself before all others; minus the Empress. To allow yourself to be caught up in the affairs of the Empire and all their squablles will only hold you back from your true potential. To allow yourself to be used like some stringed puppet in the Sith Order only shows weakness, a weakness others will strive to exploit."

Mur'rain patted Emma on the shoulder then added,"Perhaps little Emma fate has brought us together for a reason."

Emma let out a small scoffing sound before shaking her head a little at the girl " Forgive me for not being a believer in fate. The Empress is as much the Sith as the Sith is about brotherhood. We are all one unit that works together to acheive a common goal, Your not a puppet for serving the cause you fight for though everyone is a puppet to the will of the force, even the Sith and the Jedi. We are just tools can call upon such power to fulfil its twisted will. It makes sense when you think about it. everything we do has a significant link the force " while speaking she seemed to walk around a circle around the girl for dramatic effect. Her words came from countless conversation with others about the subject and study" The weakness is your arrogance which you share with many other of the acolytes here in this temple. " She was tired hearing lectures off the other acolytes then being called weak or arrogant

She stopped pacing around the girl before smiling " You could say we are cogs in a grand design. I am not much a believer in fate but what I a a believer in is Destiny, a path I must follow till the very end and I will serve the Sith and my Empress until I reach the end of that path" she said pausing allowing her to take in the information
