A grotty and dank place, like so many on the Hutt homeworld of Nal Hutta, the nearly empty Cantina near one of the Hutt worlds slightly more militarized districts reeked of Hutt and Stale sweat. In the middle of the battered old bar of this nearly run down Cantina 'stood' Nor'baal the Hutt, bedecked in his old Hutt armour, a pike of beskar iron leaning up next to him.

On the bar before him was a tired looking glass, filled with mirky greyish liquid. It was surrounded by empty containers of similar substances. The figure heaved its bulk, and downed the beverage before returning its gaze to the Barman, <Another> he growled in Huttese, the barman shook his head, indicating his feelings the Hutt had had enough for the day. Clearly it was not aware of a Hutts constitution, and Nor'baal pulled out a large blaster, placing it on the bar.

<Hundreds, Hundreds I have killed. One more makes no difference. I said, another.> he bellowed, the barman swiftly obliged, as the Hutt Mercenary returned his pistol to its holster.

Larik Novan was certainly getting a taste of Nar Shaddaa. It was kind of like really cheap liquor, but too much of it. It left your head thumping, your stomach churning, and all you really had to show was a few less credits. But it suited Larik, at least for the moment. It was his mood. Immediately after leaving the New Jedi Order the ex-Councilor came here, to this world, to start his quest.

The quest. The Corellian wasn't necessarily sure what exactly that entailed. But he had long ago realized that what exactly the quest was did not matter in the long run, because you were going to learn way more trying to not die getting there. That was the principle that guided Larik to Nar Shaddaa, and that was the principle that would guide him through difficult times. And, above everything, it was what gave the man hope in his darkest hour.

"Pretty big words," he said, as he walked up to the bar. "But then, you're a pretty big fella." He glanced at the large Hutt apprehensively, sitting on a bar stool and giving his best Corellian shit-eating grin. <His drink is on me, bartender. Hopefully then the conversation can at least be interesting. And a Corellian Ale for me,> the man sat down, his grin still evident.

He accepted the drink from the bartender. Early in coming to the Hutt world, he had realized that you had to be tough. He could do tough. While not offensive, he was not going to be pushed around, and would not be pushed out by the speciest hutts.

The Hutt shifted its bulk to turn slightly and face the new arrival. He smiled widely as the man bought him a drink, and patted him. Not bad for a human. Nor'baal thought. He spoke to the man. <Buying drinks eh? Carry on like that and you will do just fine on Nal Hutta!>

His proclamation done, he introduced himself to the newcomer <I am Nor'baal Vesajilic Diori, rightful ruled of Tatooine, rightful supreme Kajida of the Vesajilics, and Mercenary extraordinary!>
