I will start building up my first NPC here. Any and all suggestions are welcome. I am new to how things are done around here so i am here to learn first and fore most.

I aim to join the Sith Empire as a Naval officer so that is the aim and background i am going to build up for this first PC.

Born twenty two years ago on the Hapan world of Terephon, Arturia was pre-destined to a life as a second class citizen. This was the case for all males born in Hapan society; such was life in a matriarchal system. This would leave an indelible mark on Arturia that would never quite go away. His father was a low ranking engineer assigned to the local garrison on Terephon. His mother all ways a stickler for tradition and custom, served as an aide to a local magistrate.

It would be from his father that Arturia would develop his love for electronics and computers. They also provided a rare look at the world outside the mists that surrounded the cluster. It was these glimpses at a larger universe that first planted the seed to leave the cluster in the young man. His upbringing was typical for a middle class Hapan family. His younger sister all ways had first pick of everything in the family, which meant Arturia often had to learn to improvise.

It was at the age or twelve that an opportunity to see the greater galaxy presented its self, though he had little choice in the matter. Uther, Arturia’s father, had been for some time been growing disillusioned with his wife and by excitation the system in which he lived. Ilya, his mother, had in recent years stopped paying the men in the family any notice instead choosing to speed all her time and resources on her daughter. She eventually decided her daughter deserved to go to one of the best and most expensive school on Terephon.

It was this last insult that pushed Uther to take his son and leave the cluster. He knew his son was smart and deserved a better shot at having a real life. He didn’t wish to see his natural talent and skill with electronics be set aside simply because he had been born male. They would arrive on Kuat a month later as little more than refugees. It was from here they would both learn to live in a world where they had opportunities and even a voice.

Uther easily found work with the shipyards with his skills and knowledge, making a decent living for both of them to live off of. Arturia would return to his studies and continue to grow his skills. By the age of 15 he was helping his father at the yards; this would help instill a love of ships. Once he had reached the age of 18 and finished his primary education, Arturia decided apply for the Imperial Naval academy. He had the grades and aptitude and was inducted that same year.

Once at the academy he excelled at most of his studies, often having a hard time with matters of social, political, and interactions mostly with female cadets. That stemmed from a combination of his upbringing and a general disinterest in the webs and lies of political machinations. Opting to take electives in electronics as well as capital ship operations he laid the ground work to become an officer aboard one of the Empires menacing warships.

Now a freshly minted new officer fresh from the academy Arturia awaits his first assignment with the Imperial Navy.

Arturia, naturally inclined to keeping to himself, would never be described as having a strong presence. Often found sitting alone at mess, he has no problems with this arrangement as it allows him time to catch up on the latest news be it military or just the latest in technology. When engaged socially he is reserved, preferring to take in what’s going on and processing it before speaking himself. With a tendency to be blunt and honest, he has angered more than a few people in the past. But those looking for an honest and well thought out opinion will all ways find one with Arturia.

When on the clock Arturia is straight laced and professional, doing his best to provide the best of his skills at whatever task he is assigned; knowing better then to question those above him without good cause and plenty of supporting evidence. A natural planer Arturia when given the window can surprise you with how much detail he can bring as well as an ability to provide analysis without letting feelings get in the way.

This of course can be double edged sword, while good at data crunching and planning it leaves something to be desired in social and political settings. Knowing he is lacking in these departments he generally chooses to avoid them whenever possible and to be quite and stay out of the way when he cannot.
