Earlier that day Rayne had planned on sleeping in, at least past 1100 hours, but the Kelborn Clan once again needed her to fill in at the brewery... now she'd been here all day, night had fallen and still she was here! The bartender had called in sick, so after working in the brewery she was asked to work up front tending to the cantina customers, with an apparently faked promise of getting relieved before it got too late.. Fhtagn... She thought as yet another man came into the Cantina, it was already nearly full, Ugh.. Go away.. She thought begrudgingly, before asking the man what he'd have, and looking out over the crowd of people all drinking and enjoying their nights.

Some sports team was playing some game up on the holonet projectors, and Rayne just rolled her eyes, simpletons.. she thought pouring whatever it was that the man had asked for into a probably clean mug, she didn't know if it was clean, she also didn't care.

Rayne was pretty, well at least the form she was in was pretty, as a Shi'ido she pretty much had the free reign to look however she wanted, and she had wanted to be beautiful, so naturally, she did. Because of this, the regularly received comments on her looks by mostly inebriated men were often responded with an, "I know.." or a "Duh.." it wasn't their fault though, nobody knew she was what she was.

Returning back to behind the bar after running a full set of drinks out to a table Rayne checked the time and sighed, she wasn't going home any time soon, just then the door opened again, and Rayne groaned as yet another patron entered the bar...

John wouldn't call himself an obsessive drinker, but every once in a while, he needed a drink. Which was why he was at some cantina in the outer rim territories. He walked into the bar, and sat at a glanced around the room, registering any familiar faces, which none popped up. He chose to sit at the bar, and ordered a martini. He then noticed a stunning young woman working the bar. He spoke up, "Hi, what's your name?" He smiled, knowing there was a fifty fifty chance of this going the way he planned.

A martini?... Rayne thought, almost laughing, the man's appearance clearly stated he wasn't a mandalorian which may have made up for the less than popular drink around these parts. His suit was nice, tailored to him, and coupled with his cleanly shaved head and serious eyes, his look gave the appearance of a businessman, but not the kind that sells cleaning supplies door to door, more like the kind that probably had some sort of legal front business to cover the illegal stuff in the backroom, whatever it might have been.

Rayne was caught up judging the man's character when he asked her name, reminding her that he had ordered a drink, luckily for the man, the bar did in fact have the ingredients required for his order. She didn't ask how he liked it, and just started adding the mix together, shaking it and pouring it into a for sure clean glass, as off worlders generally cared more about the condition of the container their alcohol was in.

"Kelborn.." Rayne said with confidence, the name probably didn't mean anything to someone not up to date on the smaller clans that made up the rest of the mandalorian population. She did not return his smile, but her wide eyes had focused on him, indicating to him that he, at least for now, had her attention, "You're not from here, huh?" She asked, not accusingly but as if she was just interested to see how far from home the man was, and what could have possibly brought him to her little hole in the wall.

The bar wasn't small, and it was after all connected to the Kelborn brewery, so the local populus all knew the place, but it didn't exactly run advertisements on the holonet.

John noticed the woman examining him, but didn't care. His looks would give the impression of a man doing business. which was what he did, if illegally, and the impression he wanted to give. John enjoyed his job, and it paid the bills, though killing people for a living wasn't exactly the lifestyle a regular person would want. Everyday was a day in the shadows. Most of the time he wasn't even using his weapon, he was sitting behind a holo tablet researching his target, and extracting as much information as possible. He looked up at the woman in the face, "Kelborn, that's a nice name. and no, i'm not around this area. I do frequent the outer rims territory scouting for jobs, when i'm called. I'm not what you would call a regular guy. But what about you? Do you usually work here?" John took the martini, and noticed the girl didn't ask how he liked it. Typically the bartender would ask as the customer didn't know what ingredients or spices the bartender had. Either the girl was new at this job, or she knew how people liked it. He sipped the drink, cautiously. The drink was splendid.

Rayne smiled when the man complimented her name, she had spent hours in front of the mirror perfecting this face she wore changing the shape size and color of her mouth and teeth, so that when she smiled it was radiant, "Thank you.." she responded, though he clearly had no idea what it meant, or even that it was in fact her last name.

She had taken him for a salesmen, and maybe an arms or spice dealer, but when he said that he traveled around taking jobs she knew she had misjudged him, and he was clearly not a regular guy, as he had said.

"I only work here when they make me.." Rayne said, her smile appearing again, then fading quickly as she added, "Which is far too often for my taste.. I'm a warrior, not a barmaid.." she finished, some distaste for her current assignment shining through.

The man had clearly liked the drink, and Rayne helped herself to some that had been left in the mixer sbf wouldn't fit in the man's glass, a nice cool hint of apple hitting her tongue, it was excellent indeed.

Returning to the conversation, "So.. what kind of jobs do you take?" She asked, "Plumbing?" She added for humor, "Cause we have a leaky sink in the back, if you wanna take a look at it?" She joked, there was in fact no leaky sink in the back.

Rayne smirked, Honey, I kill everyone.. She said with that same radiant smile. Whether it's with my blaster and blade, or simply the poison I pour in these cups, eventually everyone that's ever come into contact with me.. will die.. She said slowly, and dramatically, raising what was left of the shaker to her lips, and finishing off the forgettables, which was what she called the excess alcohol left over from mixing a customer's drink.

Rayne mixed the man another drink, pouring it into a larger glass than the standard martini glass, Dont be offended by the ugly cup, it's the same stuff inside.. she said before she took off to refill other drinks and run beer around for a few minutes. Eventually she would return to speak to the off world newcomer, but she took her time making him wait, being sure to sneak a couple glances in his direction to see if he was staring at her. He was interesting, or at least new, she knew just about every face in this place, be that from serving them drinks, or kicking their asses cause they decided to get rowdy in her bar.

Eventually she got back to the man, I hope the bigger boys weren't picking on you while I was gone.. She said with a smirk.

John smiled, so the woman had a shady side, nice. "So are you a free lance bounty hunter, or hmm I think Mandolorian fits your style." John looked into his cup cautiously, of course he had already checked it out, but just in case. "Ah, the cup doesn't offend my it's the terrible music, they need to play something new, all the cantinas are playing the same old stuff." John exchanged his finished cup for a bigger looking glass. The effects of the achohol were beginning to kick in, but John was used to the stuff and could typically last a little longer before completly losing control or become unconsious. "Oh, the bigger boys..eh? Nah i stuffed them down the trash shute just the other day."

Rayne looked at him queationingly, this was a mandalorian planet, and a mandalorian bar, full of mandalorians, she then snickered a bit and said, Yes, I am Mandalorian, best warriors to ever take to the stars.. she said, sounding cocky.

Rayne lifted her own glass to her lips and gulped down about half of the martini inside, smiling about the man stuffing some big boys down some trash shoots.

I wouldn't say that too loud, you might be able to hold your own against one or two, but there's a bar full of testosterone filled Mandos here that are always looking to impress a pretty girl with some combat.. She said with a smile, Plus.. I'm pretty sure I could take ya.. She added with a wink and that same radiant smile she had on earlier, it wasn't meant to be insulting, more like a cute challenge, and a test to see what he would respond with.

John finished the last of his drink, and placed the glass on the counter. "Best warriors indeed, i've seen plenty of fights that include Mandos, tough bunch you all are." John chuckled and watched as the woman drank her martini. "Ah, i don't much worry about the other men here, most of them are my buddies from work or know me at least. And i have no doubt in my mind you could take me on. I don't judge a person based on their looks honey. I know who you are, or at least what you are. But nonetheless here's to us." John hinted that he knew the woman or say alien now John supposed. He had been watching her carefully, how she carried her self, spoke and drank. It was hard at first, and it took someone with John's experience to notice. "Don't worry, your secret's safe with me"

The music in the room had turned and a whole load of the patrons had started their drunken dancing. Rayne smiled and look at the man, I don't suppose those feet of yours know how to move? She said right before taking a quick shot of whisky and walking from around the bar.

Grabbing the man by the left wrist she pulled him to the floor a handful of feet away from his seat and started to dance, inviting the outsider to join the home-landers.

"Oh,my feet moves, if yours does." John placed his glass on the bar before suddenly being yanked out of his seat and out onto the dance pad. John nervously shuffled around, surprised at being suddenly thrust out into the spotlight. Typically John liked to stay in the shadows, but what's life without fun? They began to dance in a pattern, both bodies gliding with the somewhat fast-paced music.

The dancing space was filled with more than a dozen bodies all moving in different tempos, but mostly along with the music being played. Rayne began to spin and stomp along with the music, the pair dancing with the others. Rayne laughed, most of her time lately had been spent sending blaster bolts into victims, and it felt increasingly good to let loose for a moment, if only for a moment, and have some fun.

The smell of brew, and booze was pretty heavy as the people around her were breathing and sweating a bit, and Ryane loved it. After a short while the music ended and returned to its normalcy, and Rayne slowly stopped dancing. That was fun.. Rayne said with a laugh, as she made her way back behind the bar.

John grinned the whole time, it had been awhile since he had actual fun, not like killing people for money wasn't fun, but for once he was being "normal." The music stopped, and they returned to the bar."That was fun, i want to thank you for doing that......the fun doesn't have to stop though. Here, if you're available, let me know, maybe we could do something like this again you know? Get out of the house once in a while." John liked her, she made him feel good about himself, and he thought they were very similar.

Rayne never had a problem getting out of the house, work it seemed always called her away from her little cottage in the woods of Concord Dawn, but the sentiment was what was most important, Agreed, here.. Rayne said as she passed her contact information across the bar, And if you ever need some backup, just give me a ring.. She added, there was no greater asset to have in the galaxy than a friend with a blaster, and Rayne figured the two probably worked in similar fields, and would likely be cooperating on an adventure of some sort in the near future.

Rayne mixed another batch of martinis for the pair of them, If you're not opposed to violating the statutes of certain governments, perhaps we could do some work together? Rayne started, she'd been formulating a plan recently to make a little bit of side credits.

John nodded, exchanging contact information with her. "I'll do that, and i'm all for violating the laws and statutes of governments, that's technically my job, killing people and all." He took the martini, and began sipping, another day, another friend.

Good.. that's my favorite pass time.. Rayne replied. People in the bar had started to clear out, as Rayne checked each one out as they paid their tabs and made for the door. She still probably half an hour worth of work to do associated with closing down the bar, but figured she'd leave it for the people in the morning this time.

Eventually it was just Rayne and the man, as she finished her martini she said, The names Rayne, Kelborn is my clan.. She offered the information, clarifying what she had said before.

Rayne began to shut off most the lights, and then returned to the bar, technically she was done working, but not ready to leave just yet.

Galaar decided to spend some time North of his little slice of land on, after a pretty young Kelborn came by his farm, a month or so back with a party pack of their beer. He'd flown into town the night before, getting there after last call, but had gotten plenty wasted on the ride over. He'd managed not to take anyone out on the way into town, by some miracle, and been able to find a bed to pass out in. The next night, he'd planned, would be much of the same, he'd say. Climbing down the stairs from the rooms above the bar, he stopped for a whiskey, before turning to find Rayne Kelborn in the company of a man who didn't look quite Mandalorian, but Galaar he hunted bounties. There was a certain air about the type of person that brought those to justice for money.

"Hey there, Rayne, howya been?" he called out to her, raising his glass to her and the stranger, "Who's 'iss fella? New friend of yours?" he asked, as he approached and leaned forward on his elbows, against the table. "Name's Galaar, pleasure to meetchu, sir," he said, formally.

Rayne watched Galaar stumble in, he was a Rau and one of Rayne's friends. Ah @Galaar Rau.. We're supposed to be closed.. But... ah what the hell.. Rayne would say before flicking on the lights just behind the bar, leaving the rest of the room still in darkness. Rayne like Galaar, he was a nice wholesome country boy, and tonight he was clearly very drunk, Rayne envied that.. If it wasn't for her work she may well have been in the same state right now.

Pulling out a bottle of whiskey, Rayne set three shot glasses on the bar and filled them to the brim, just a little bit splashing out onto the bar during the pours between glasses. You know me.. Just working my life away... OYA! Rayne said a little sarcasm in her voice. This is John, Rayne said as Galaar sumbled toward him, she laughed a bit at the display.
