Another Day of Jedi Play

Time: 9:30 am
Location: A gym on Coruscant

As Emma woke up to her alarm in her old apartment on Coruscant, she remembered that she was meeting up with Leira (@Leira Rys) from the mission on Ilum a little while back. They had decided that they would get together and play around with their lightsabers for a little while, somewhat training, but it was a little more laid back.

Emma slid out of bed and went in to get showered before then slipping on her favorite outfits.

Afterwards, Emma found her speeder that she stole a while back and would start making her way over to the gym she had mentioned. Once she arrived, she saw that Leira hadn't arrived yet, so she decided to set her bag down in one of the corners before then making a running jump onto the balance beam doing flips across it. Then using all of the equipment, she started practicing her acrobatics until Leira arrived.

Leira Rys probably took her training way too seriously, and when Emma had mentioned practicing together Leira practically ate it up. She didn't see this as simply having fun and as a simple learning experience, she saw this as a full on competitive duel. Of course, she knew they weren't going to be trying to kill each other. But, whatever else it took to win, she would go for. Inflicting a few bruises and scratches, or receiving a few bruises and scratches didn't frighten Leira in the slightest.

Leira knew someday she would be in the middle of battle and she wouldn't be going down without a fight. She would fight as viciously against Emma as she would on the battle field, because that's what it would come to, especially in the war times the two Padawan were in. Leira had walked in to this believing Emma would be having the same mentality as her.

She had worn her usual cerulean blue v-neck tank top, dark brown pants, and black boots. Leira had her dual-bladed lightsaber in her right hand, instead of clipped on to her belt. She figured she'd be needing it soon, anyways.

Leira got there early in the morning, sitting and staring out of a window to distract herself until Emma got there. It was pouring rain on Coruscant, and the sky was black with clouds. The only light present was the city lights, and a few quick flashes of silver followed by loud crashes of thunder. Rain was one of Leira's favorite things, considering she grew up on Tatooine and they had to literally harvest moisture. It just fell from the sky in abundant amounts. It amazed Leira to watch it, and sometimes she would for hours.

She often found things to distract herself. She hated thinking. Leira devoted much of her time pushing out her emotions. She was worried that they would lead her to the dark side of the Force. The temptation to use the Dark Side was almost overwhelming at times. She so much had pent up anger and sadness that seemed to come out at the wrong moment. And when it did, it was uncontrollable.

Leira sensed another presence there, and stood up to greet Emma.

"Ready?" She asked, igniting both sides of her lightsaber.

As Emma noticed Leira, she noticed that she immediately ignited her sabers and asked her if she was ready.

"Yep."

she said in response as Emma then pulled her sabers from her belt and ignited them. Leira seemed to be in a serious attitude. Maybe she didn't remember that this was supposed to be fun.. or her day just didn't start out to well. Whatever it was, she didn't know, but she would hopefully be able to block anything that came her way.

After Emma ignited her blades, she then remembered something. "Make sure your blade is on stun. Because if anything happens, we really don't wanna get hurt here today." Emma said changing her own to stun. Then she would take up a defensive stance. Holding er blades backwards, her left foot was angled slightly behind her and her right foot in front of her. Her right hand was in front of her chest and her left by her left side.

"Got it." She did as Emma suggested, turning the blade to stun. Once she did that, she launched herself forwards, turning her dual-bladed lightsaber in a full circle, and bringing it down on one of Emma's. She turned it again, hitting another one of Emma's two lightsabers, and stepped forwards with her right foot. Leira was planning on using intimidation as her weapon. But maybe Emma already knew how unnerving Leira could be after the mission they were on.

Leira fell back into a defensive position, holding her lightsaber directly in front of her body. She was already filled with adrenaline, the lightning in her eyes making that obvious. Battling always got her pumped, especially when she was trying to show off and do her best. She took excessive pride in how good she was at it. Leira thought it was one of her only redeeming qualities. Maybe it was the only reason why the Jedi Order had accepted her. It certainly wasn't for reasons like her emotional maturity.

Once Leira had set her saber, it was almost immediately that the other Padawan's barrage of attacks came down on her. Emma wasn't exactly expecting the attacks immediately, but was also prepared and blocked them in time. In no way did Emma underestimate this girl. She saw what she could do when she went on the mission with her on Ilum and knew better than to question her method even though this girl was either younger or older than her. Anyway, it didn't matter. They were both good and their skills practically matched in rank.

Emma hadn't spent too much time with Leira, but when she did, this girl had some attitude. She liked it though as it reminded her of herself sometimes. She looked to Leira who took up a defensive position and then Emma closed her eyes for a second, remembering her masters training. Twisting her saber real quick, she took up the backhand version with her sabers. Then moving forward with a good speed, Emma cut with her left saber towards Leira's right shoulder and then would spin, coming down on the other Padawan's shoulders with both sabers.
