ANNOUNCEMENT: New Faction Leader

With all my bribed now paid off, I would like to say a massive thank you to all those who voted for me as your new Faction Leader. Now that the election is done and dusted however, there is much work to do, and I will be doing an official newsletter on Monday to keep everyone up to date on what has/is happening. Of course, as promised during the course of my election, there will be some changes that I can happily announce now which are as follows:

Titles and Infamy
I know some people have been asking about the criminal aspect of the Cartel, so I am introducing something that complements both the Crime and War parts of this faction. 'Titles' will be honorary IC appointments that will be given to characters in recognition for their achievements, and to make use of their contacts and skills and each will come with some perks, as well as some duties. These will be released with people to hold the titles on Monday.

'Infamy' will be an entirely new system to help track your characters status in the Cartel outside of its formal rank structure. How many heads do you turn in the street, how many grown men pale at the sight of you? This correlates to your infamy. I will be working this out over the course of the next day or so, and posting a new thread of 'Noted Criminals' in which this new system will be recorded.

One thing that has become more obvious to me is that our members want to see a more aggressive Cartel that greedily plays both sides in the war. Now, before people start to panic and make assumptions, let me explain. On Monday there will be an IC announcement using our new bullettin stystem, by the Lordas/someone who wish to see a more offensive and forceful approach to their Governments Politics and Foreign Affairs.

This does not mean that the Cartel will be breaking off its deal with the Rebellion, instead it will mean a shift toward secretive deals (blaming public actions on so called 'Rogue Elements') with both Rebels and Empire, as well as more IC posturing towards the Imperials, meaning more ships on the border. The exact details of these new relationships have yet to be worked out with the other Faction Leaders, but overall the intention is:

The Cartel will be shifting to a more despotic, greedy Galactic Power, desiring to gets its own way through thuggery, threats and bullying. United under the Grandee Lorda who demands ever higher Tithes from his Vassals, the Cartel must grab all it can, taking more and more from across Hutt Space and beyond.

• Making Cosmetic Changes to the Armed Forces, to reflect a more centralized command - Underway
• Posting the honorary titles - Done, not yet awarded
• Posting the Infamy Board - Done
• Updating the Bounties
• Setting up an IC news-board
• Appointing AFL's - Underway
• Posting up a News-Letter
• Putting the Kessel missions by @TheSilentWind into a mission pack
• Partying Very Hard
