Personality
Andrew's motivations are always genuine even if based on misinformation. He has the inner strength to stand up for himself, as well as his patience in dealing with 'bad' or negative people. He¡¯s not too quick to react against somebody, yet he's also not willing to be walked on by negative people.

Another trait Andrew has, is successful leadership he never asks to be the leader, nor pursues the paths to leadership. He stays in the back, prefers to follow and assess the situation as an observer. He respects the authority, yet when he finds that the leadership is ineffective, he steps up. He knows true leaders don¡¯t seek leadership roles, but only find themselves urged or pushed towards them when it is determined that the current leadership could be improved.

Andrew takes the highest ground in every situation. Never does he put himself in an awkward position by acting dishonourably. He is never forced to defend his actions against claims that they are imprudent and always does his best to tell the truth.

Bio
As the first born its expected of him to carry on one of his parents jobs as is the custom of his planet though that would not be the case. A quick study, he picked things up quite quickly. Given the best tutors and teachers. The young boy excelled in things like Math science and things to do with making plans. Always wanting to get better and always thought he needed to get better. He had been taught with another young boy named Jason who called him Ander for short, unless they were in an argument. The two were never meant to be in the same carrier but they were both brilliant, although Jason was far better when it came to combat and Andrew at strategy. Only good teachers could keep up with the two boys. They had been friends from the moment they met each other at the academy. The other kids just didn't understand things the same way even if Jason was still behind Andrew in terms of intellect.

Thus Andrew entered a period of peace and happiness, a time that spanned most of his life. During that time, Ander's life followed a routine that remained constant almost as often as it could have changed. The two boys would help each other in class though Ander's marks were constantly better then those of Jason. Even more so in Math and science. Anything that involved figuring out an answer or solution Ander was great at it.

Shortly after his tenth birthday he started helping his father who owned a small store were you could get food and drinks. Having gotten bored very quickly stacking shelves and helping people find things that were right in front of them Ander decided to ask if he could go help and learn to do the job his mother had instead. Disappointed his father agreed to see if his mom would let him though it meant that the shop would have to be sold sometime with no one to run it from the family. At dinner that night Ander asked him mom if he could start going with her instead. With his mother being a sword of the planet she knew his brain would be wasted as a sword but since it would be just as waited running a small shop she agreed to allow him to learn to do her job.

Learning from his mother was draining it was constant training with various weapons and physical activity. Now he was with Jason all day as he had been learning to become a sword his hole life and then having classes with him when there was no training to be done they only got closer and became best friends and would do things together even when they didn't have to. Jason was always better this time. His body was so much faster and stronger then that of Andrew. Jealousy never came to mind even in the hardest of activities that Jason was able to do with only small amount of effort and Andrew barely able to do it at all. The two were different and he had accepted that long before they started training together like this. He also couldn't get the idea of killing everything that threatened you or the people you fight for. He thought there had be time for diplomacy sometime even if it was a full blown war even if Jason understood the point far better then Andrew would have thought.

At the age of sixteen Jason's sister Jaz died and Ander had seen it happen. After running to Jason what had happened he never saw him again. He knew he had left the planet and broken the tradition of staying and taking up the job of one of your parents. The thing was Andrew understood, he had done it for a good reason, "Why stay with nothing to stay for?" Was how he thought about. Ander knew the sith now dominated most of the galaxy but Jason would be fine out there he was a great fighter possibly even the best to come out of their academy in years. After he left he thought about leaving the same way. There had to be a better life out in the universe where he could use his head. Where he could do something more then train and kill and destroy everything that might some hoe harm his people. He wanted somewhere he could make a difference peacefully, talk it out with an opposing side rather then fight them.

It had only been a couple months After Jason left that Andrew's mom waken him up in a hurry and told him to get the Uniform the government had given him on, something was happening and there was a call out to everybody who could help, including the trainees. Arriving it was obvious it was important, the number of guards normally stationed on the outside of the building were far less then normal likely sent to do something more important."What is more important then defending the capital building? Its the head of state and the head Military. Why wouldn't we stack the place in an emergency?" Walking briskly with his mother the two walked into the capital and immediately were quickly searched and Identified. Without much of a delay Mothers Commander walked up to them along with who had been his and Jason's head trainer before Jason left. The trainer took Andrew into the complex alone while his mother quickly tried to get a grasp on what was going on from her commander. He didn't know he was never going to see her again.

The bombardment of questions was useless. Andrew got nothing from this man. He simply walked along until they got to an Intel room, a place trainees were never aloud and a place only ever opened when there was a large scale fight going on or in time of full out war. "You will help Col. Strag determine the best course of action. I know you know little but we cant tell you as much as we would like to. Look at what's going on and what the two forces have to work with. Win like I taught you to and we should be fine. The best minds we have are in this room, but even so Andrew remember they will listen to you. They will hear you out." . With a push from the trainer Col. Strag led him to a holo of a large fight, larger then he had thought and was informed of the details to what they could tell him or at least what they were willing.

From what they told him the group was an organization of terrorist who were thought to have only a small force but proved them wrong when they took a town early last night. The news was kept down and nearly a quarter of the military mobilized to deal with them. The problem was identified immediately, the force was far bigger then they had guessed even after the attack. The first assault was given a retreat order with only 10% of the troops making it out. The rest of what could be sparred was immediately sent including the men they cold get by stripping security from all over the planet.

The fight was nearly even now but the question Andrew wanted answered was how did they get so many men? How did we not know about it? Of course there was never an answer. The large group seemed to be staying more or less in and around the town they had taken, building fortifications and bringing in resources from where ever they were based, including large tanks of fossil fuels not that anyone knew why they had moved past there usage a long time ago. The team was working ways the troops could get through the barriers without much of a fight but Andrew had never even thought about it. Instead when Col. Stag left him he looked into the fossil fuels and what they were transported in. It was a this layer of Alume not so easy to break... And with so much couldn't they just blow a couple up and make the place go up in flames? His conclusion wasn't reached till the rest of the team had finished. They didnt really care the trainee was there. He moved to put his plan in front of them anyway. Most were annoyed and those who weren't thought it was a terrible idea exept a few. A few who had been in a large scale fight themselves and shot the guns at the enemy themselves. They didnt want these men to have to do the same.

They fought for the approval and had the teams earlier decision on the backup. The troops would fire explosives at a couple key Fossil fuel containers causing them to explode making a chain reaction of explosions taking the whole town out. It worked. The explosions had been big enough to reach the next and the next putting the place into a ball of flame. Everyone cheered but guilt set itself into Andrews stomach. He killed them, didn't even think about talking. Col. Strag turned to him and shook his hand saying "Well done. I think we can say your training is over. You took out those rebel protesters out without even spilling one of our troops blood." Rebel protesters? Terrorists you mean sir Andrew answered and Col. Strag looked him dead into the eye, his good mood gone. "No I mean Rebel protesters. We said Terrorists because you would take them easier as a threat that way. We couldn't risk anyone trying to use Diplomacy." Shock. guilt and ran through the boys body when he answered "What were they rebelling against? Why did we have to kill them?" He could barley stand on his feet at this point. His breathing was unstable and the next thing without an answer everything went dark.

Waking up in his room, his mother sitting beside him she was happy for him. I heard about your plan and Im glad it worked, I was being sent out to help if they had needed it" she said "What were they rebelling against?" he said not giving any indication he heard her. She got serious just like the cornel did when he asked. "We have decided to stay an independent planet, play no part in the galactic war. They wanted to fight for what was right. and so the truth came out and it shattered the young boy. He had killed how many? hundreds of thousands, if not Millions because they wanted to stand up to one of the sides of the war? Andrew staid in bed. His name was known all over the place 'Andrew the defender' Not that the public knew the truth. After a month he left quietly and followed what Jason had done before him and went to wonder the Universe in hope of a life were he could make up for the life he killed off leaving only a letter to his parents that read.

Dear Mother and Father,

What I have done here was wrong. They lied to me and told me they were terrorist, even though they might have been I believe they only went to the extremes they did because we wouldn't listen to them. No matter what they said we wouldn't have. Now they are dead and I am thought of as a great man and it is wrong. The truth will likely never get out but that dosent mean I have to live with the title and renown I have. No human being, when you understand his desires, is worthless. No one's life is nothing. Even the most evil of men and women, if you understand their hearts, had some generous act that redeems them, at least a little, from their sins. The people here would never agree, and if they did wouldn't care enough to change.

I am leaving like Jason did, although for the opposite reasons. He had nothing and I have far to much. I also leave the name of Andrew here. From now on I will hopefully be called Ander, the name the single person I think would ever understand how I feel about what I'v done gave me.

Good bye, I will try to write to you when and if I have time.

With regret
Ander

So weird that there are two Asa Butterfields around here. :P Lmao. Though I must confess the wisdom seems a bit high for a 17 year old, but that's my own little nitpick. I like him lots! Nice job!

Not bad! I totally knew something was going to go wrong!, Though not exactly how I imagined it, not a bad bio. I honestly thought it would end with him finding out he'd killed Jason. My only question. Do you plan on using Jason in further threads?

Hi, I'm new here. I was doing some research on characters before I submitted my first character, and I noticed your comment. Is it generally accepted that younger characters have low wisdom?

It's more of that younger characters have lesser experience in life and tend to be more cocky/confident of themselves, and will usually tend to go straight into the action rather than taking a step back and assessing the picture as a whole before working to solve the problems methodically. Wisdom can be defined as how experienced you are in certain matters of life, whether philosophically or problem solving. Some may say problem solving is more towards intelligence, but I find it that you can be smart to handle a situation through an elaborate process, or you can be wise to see the more easier and better way to handle the situation.

But that description is my way of defining things, so don't take it fully. Others have their own versions.
