"Wandered have I the stars forever, and came upon no way for my return. That name I'd heard in conversation, of kindness I'd yet to learn. Life was that of an endless nightmare, but your help hath led me home again. Is it fate that we travel this road, or has fate been brought to heel?" He'd mutter, the words of a poem he had first read in his youth. It fit here, in the context of her helping him.

It would undoubtedly take quite a long time for their plans to succeed. He was fully aware of that. Weeks or years, he was as unsure as ever. But he'd never find out if he didn't take the first steps.

"And now, here you are, journeyed with me, towards you I honor thee. On this beaten path that we travel, what do you prepare for in regards to battle?" It had continued, the words expertly crafted by a lyricist so many centuries ago. His mother had told him one of his own ancestors had written it, and he wondered if the talents for the arts ran in his blood as well. He doubted it though.

"You play a dangerous game, Iden," He would suddenly say, looking towards her again. His hair was still down, but in the weirdest way it still remained neatly kept behind his shoulders. "I have enemies- most of whom I haven't even met yet. Far distant cousins, those of rival families who wait upon my homeworld. You could very easily be swayed to the dark side, corrupted and made an apprentice of someone barely more than an apprentice himself. Or your Jedi council might decide your consorting with a Sith to any degree makes you irreparably corrupted by dark influences. This is a risk- to your aspirations, to your future, your life, your very soul. In taking up the task set before you, you'd intertwine your fate with mine. If I die along this quest of ours, I'd give it fair likelihood you would to." Julias would commence at length, fully explaining just what it was Iden had agreed to do. "Granted I haven't seen your work with a lightsaber, but there's no chance it eclipses mine own abilities." He suddenly said, chuckling a bit.

Turning back to his painting, the young noble frowned. He still hadn't finished it yet. Quite a minor annoyance, but he thought that the conversation they had just completed was far more beneficial to him than the completion of this work.

"I won't go as far as suggesting we share a ship. If we did that, there might be some further violation of the Jedi code." Julias would joke again, turning away and going back to his landscape. "I'd even say we space out our flights. Remove any indication that they're connected, like we planned this and conspired so heavily together. Even arriving days apart is a good idea." He'd seriously say, elaborating on some of his planning. "From there, we go to my home. At my home, we confront a few officials. I would send word to a few extra Jedi. Any further connections to help build our case will be necessary, as even your word alone may not be enough to sway the administration."

He would stop to ponder once again, wondering for a third, fourth, or maybe fifth time about whether or not this would work.

But he knew that this would be somewhat successful.

Iden did not jump at the challenge to her lightsaber skills; it was no matter and of little consequence at this point. He could think what he liked.

Evidently he had little hope that she would survive this mission. Perhaps she would not, but when had her life not been full of risks? The day she had tearfully bid her mother goodbye on Corellia, her life had forever changed.

“No, arriving together would not be wise,” she agreed, tying the satchel of food to her belt. “I think our business is settled, then. For now.” Sparing him a quick glance, she turned on her heel, descending the hill and leaving Julias. “I’ll see you on Brentaal.”
